So good and worth a bit of a wait. Lots to choose from on the menu and about a dozen mimosa flavors. They don't serve liquor so you can't get a traditional bloody mary but they do one with sake. We had the peach, mango and traditional OJ mimosa and all were tasty and a good portion of champagne to flavoring. We got the shrimp and grits that was on special and my husband (who has had A LOT of shrimp and grits) said it was up there in the top 2. I got the fat and fluffy french toast which was good. We ate brunch at this restaurant two days in a row. Gonzalo - one of the funniest and most attentive servers on the island. Super cute and fun to flirt with. All of his tables seemed to really enjoy him; he was able to have a good time and do his job without making anyone feel they weren't being paid attention to. Kevin - also super cute and attentive. Very friendly. He was better when the brunch slowed down and he had more time to focus on less tables. Really enjoyed having him as our server. The food. Don't get the po boy. It's an entire entrée that's far too large. They have a great selection of mimosas (I recommend the cranberry or the mango). The pepper bacon (I think it's called Millionaire Bacon) was great. We had the best time at Sarabeth's celebrating a 40th birthday. The food was absolutely amazing. Definitely try one of the specials when you're here. I also suggest the tomato soup. Just wonderful. Sunday brunch will never be the same for me. Talk about setting a new standard! I had a watermelon margarita and Michelle had something with blue sugar in the rim. We ordered the sweet and spicy bacon. I went.for lunch with a maple bacon fried chicken sandwich that was incredible. Michelle couldn't decide between pancakes and French toast so server got her a half order of each. Service was excellent. Main waiter was quite a character and ripped through specials like the disclaimer guy at the end of a car commercial. Whole staff works as a team. During our Keys trip for my dad's birthday in May we stopped into Sarabeths thanks to a friend's recommendation. I got the lobster omelet and my dad got the shrimp and bacon omelet, both were delicious! We also got mimosas for the table to celebrate his birthday. PB&J, Elderflower, Key Lime, and Caramel Apple. These concoctions were made and personally served by Brad, my favorite was the PB&J but they were all delicious and creative. Let's just say that we felt very out of place here. Sitting outside in the humid morning with fans, looking forward to a fun breakfast, and good food. We had neither. Ordering was OK, Terry got lemon blueberry ricotta pancakes that were well, pancakes. They asked if you wanted real syrup not knowing it was a two dollar up charge for a thumb full. The special was the very spicy bloody Mary. It was neither very spicy, and for $15 one would think that it would have gotten more than just a rim of spices. The most fun with bloody Mary's is what they usually put in them. He did not get a second one and ordered a cup of coffee. The coffee was good and came in a very nice large mug. I got the western omelette. It comes with bread which with celiac disease I cannot have and there was no substitutes so I got the potatoes which again, where a $2.50 up charge and they were not good. They had some kind of a spice on them that ruined them. The omelette was MEH. Nothing special. So for pancakes, and an omelette, a bloody Mary, and two coffees with the tip it was $62. Yeah we won't be back i'm not alone but what got me angry was it everybody else around us they would ask them their names they were shake their hands and when they brought the check out they asked if they wanted to bring a drink home and basically our check with slapped on the table and that's it. I did write on the check that our names were Terry and Rita just in case they were interested. Yeah probably was a little snarky but by the time we were both pretty angry. Visited Sarabeth's for a farewell brunch on my first trip to Key West. This place oozes Southern Charm and has transformed a beautiful historic building into an indoor outdoor restaurant! The brunch menu is has got your classic sweets and egg dishes. I can never say no to an egg's Benedict so I opted for one with smoked salmon. Most of the table opted for Benedict's and all seemed happy! The omelettes also looked divine. My friend raved about her Farmer's omelette which had ham, gruyere and potatoes - yum! Speaking of potatoes - the breakfast potatoes that came with the benedict were sooo tasty! Sarabeth's is beer and wine only, so no bloody Mary's here. Definitely a nice spot to enjoy brunch. The service was pretty poor. Right off the bat, there was no host to greet newly arriving parties, resulting in people just standing around outside the restaurant in a disorderly fashion. There was no queue or anything, so patrons could be left confused as to how to be seated. Once I was seated, a good 6~ minutes passed before I was seen by a waiter and even given a menu. From there, the food was quite solid. The cheesesteak was delicious and the key lime French toast was good, however the lime flavor was a little too strong for my taste that it overpowered the French toast. Went there New Years Eve for dinner and was very very disappointed. The goat cheese appetizer was good but the spareribs were tough and didn't have any taste. The key lime pie dessert was soggy. A credit card service fee and tip was automatically added to the bill when presented and was not disclosed on the menu. Biggest waste of $250 on a meal for two people. Came for brunch in a Friday. Place wasn't that busy, had a 15/20 minute wait before being seated. Sat outside, it's a nice covered area probably about 8 tables outside, covered area. Other option is inside. Food - in addition to the menu (which I didn't photograph bit its the same as other reviews) there was maybe 3 specials - surf and turf Benedict, lobster omelet, something with grits. However I had the lemon ricotta pancakes and they were good. They have mimosa specials too. I had coffee, it's bottomless cup for filter - coffee was ok. Service is good. The server ran through the specials with a belt-fed approach. I get he has to say the list probably 458 times a day but reeling them off fast doesn't help sell the items, it just means people don't hear them or ask for the list again but slower. I've been to the Sarabeths in New York a long time ago. It was also good. Would recommend this place for brunch read more

It was so dark that our elderly friend who was paying the bill, did not even see it. And the waiter did not tell us! so my friend who treated all of us tipped 20% on that larger total. This is a tricky review to write because it's not about the food, but the service. And wanting to be fair, because this is about how poorly an employee is, I tried to reach out to Sarabeth's without going thru some sort of review, but they don't have an email address or contact on their website. 2nd time at your restaurant. 1st time was such an incredibly good experience that we brought friends back. 1st time waitress was super good, servers were good, hostess was nice. Food was above expectations. We left knowing we'd come back. So 1/9/22 for lunch, we came back with friends who were in from out of town. Nowhere near the same experience as the first time. Primarily was because of the very rude waiter - Sean A. Upon being seated he asked if he could get us anything. We asked for water. He provided in a very smart ass manner that comes with every meal. OK, we can easily let that slide 'cause everybody's sense of humor is different, and yes, you'd expect a decent restaurant to provide water (BTW, spent the entire summer in CO where you MUST ask for water at almost every restaurant if you want it, so they guys not really all that smart). My wife asked about the eggs benedict and having the egg poached a little less runny. He said that wasn't possible. Said it in a cocky kinda way. When I suggested it a bit differently he seemed put off and said they make poached eggs all the time and they're all the same. And this all with a very condescending manner, and it's not our 1st time ordering eggs, so we know damn well it can be made less runny! I asked how the tuna pokey was. Again, in a very condescending manner he said tuna poke is the same everywhere he's ever had it. Really? I'm wondering if the chef thinks that? I'm wondering if Sarabeth thinks that? I know from personal experience that the tuna poke at South of the Seven is very different than the tuna poke at Kaya Island Eats. And it's also different from 10 other restaurants I eat at in TX, so clearly this guy is just an asshat who shouldn't be in a customer service industry. My buddy who we split the bill with didn't want to tip anything. My first inclination was to tip nothing or maybe some slight amount, like 1%, but I also know it's expensive for restaurant workers, etc to live in KW and I was worried that tips are probably shared amongst the other employees, all of whom were excellent, so in the end, we tipped 15% even though I usually tip much more. Immediately, my inclination was to go on Yelp, Google & FB and slam the crap outa Sarabeth's, but that's not fair to the restaurant itself, 'cause it's just this guy that's the asshole. The hostess, super nice. The dude that brings the food, super nice. The waitress and every other employee we encountered the first time we came to your restaurant were all very professional and very nice. Sean however should be kicked to the curb tomorrow. To avoid Yelp, Google & FB, and even though the restaurant doesn't have a way to contact them on their website, I did make a reservation and put my email address in the notes asking for someone to contact me, but that didn't work, so I've no other choice but to end up here.
