Food and drinks were delicious, but took quite awhile to come out. That said, once we got our food everything was phenomenal! I loved the brussels and my shrimp mac and cheese. I also tried the key lime pie and the chocolate pistachio creme brulee. The pie was great but I was underwhelmed by the creme brulee, and I am a chocolate girl! I didn't order a drink myself but I tried my friend's cocktail that had kiwi puree in it, and it was SO GOOD. Definitely would've ordered one myself had I wanted to drink at dinner. We had a group of 9 and every single person was extremely happy with their meal.

My wife and I were staying at the resort that hot tin roof is in "Ocean Key" and boy were we lucky. We ate breakfast here every morning and every item we tried was super tasty our favorites were the croissant, French toast, Greek omelette, and the breakfast sandwich. The restaurant over looks the ocean with seating inside and outside. The service is quick and efficient. We can't wait to stay at the resort again just for the breakfast!

What a beautiful restaurant! The scenery is incredible, the staff was amazing, so efficient so friendly, the menu had a great variety, food came out quickly and full of flavor. Absolutely a must see in the area.

Beautiful atmosphere on the water with lovely sunset views ! Our food was perfectly prepared- golden tile fish, ossobuco for the meat lovers with bread pudding and perfect key lime pie to round out the meal. Our service by Andre could not have been more perfect. He anticipated all our needs in a timely manner and guided us thru the menu with expertise. Much more elegant than the name implies! Very popular for the sunset views so make a reservation as early as possible since available seating during those times fill up quickly

This was our first time in Key West, and we made a reservation here to celebrate my wife's birthday with a group of six. It was a beautiful evening, and we were seated with a lovely view of the waterfront. Overall, it was a very enjoyable experience, and we were happy we chose this restaurant. Food: I always enjoy when a restaurant offers a creative and inventive cocktail menu. I won't go into detail on each one, but they were all very good, especially the Spiced Old Fashioned. At our server's suggestion, we ordered a couple of plates of the Grilled Ciabatta Bread. The bread was nicely grilled, and the roasted garlic manchego butter made it especially delicious. I normally try not to fill up on bread, but this was absolutely worth it. We ordered an eclectic mix of small and large plates. Some of the standout dishes included the Lobster Mac and Cheese, Swordfish, and Crab Cake. The Brussels sprouts took top honors, perfectly roasted without being greasy, full of flavor, and complemented by a generous amount of bacon. The one disappointment was the Pork Shank Osso Buco. While it was tender, it was only warm and a bit underseasoned. It was good, but not great, especially for someone who enjoys pork shank dishes. We saved room for dessert, and they were all crowd pleasers. My personal favorite was the Cuban Bread Pudding. The Chocolate Pistachio Crème Brûlée was also unique and delicious. Service: We had reservations for 7:30 and were seated promptly. The hostess and our server did a great job of making us feel welcome. The entire two-hour meal was well paced, and we always felt attended to. I was especially impressed with the backlit menu portfolios. They made it easy to read in the evening without guests needing to use their phone flashlights, which was a thoughtful and effective use of technology. Since we were celebrating a birthday, they placed a sign on the table acknowledging the occasion, which was a nice touch. It would have been even better if one of the desserts had included a lit candle. Atmosphere: The setting is beautiful. We were seated in a smaller dining room with several other tables. When we first arrived, there was a larger, very boisterous group nearby, and it made it difficult to hear our server. Fortunately, they left about 30 minutes into our meal, and the atmosphere became much more relaxed and enjoyable. Our waterfront view added to the experience. This was a very special evening. It was also the most expensive meal we had in Key West, so it was reasonable to have high expectations. With a few improvements, it could have been a five-star experience. Definitely a place we would return to.

One of the best meals I've ever had - visited Hot Tin Roof for Thanksgiving and enjoyed trying many dishes between my husband and I. This menu was out of this world! Everything - every course, the drinks, the service and ambiance - 10/10. My favorites: corn chowder and mushrooms (starters), steak and shrimp risotto (steak was buttery and so tender!), and the pecan pie crème brûlée made my southern heart happy. Amazing experience.

This was such a great experience for brunch. A few gfs and I came here the other day and when we sat down at our table our menus had the last name of the gf who made the reservation on it! It was such a nice touch to the experience as a whole. Our server was Kim G and she was fabulous. She was attentive and made sure we got to try everything we wanted. Also, before we even ordered any of our small plates, a complimentary plate of seafood and a cinnamon roll were brought to the table!!!! Both plates were delicious and set the tone for the rest of the food. Some of the plates I got I liked more than others, but what's good about the endless tapas style is if I didn't like it it was no big deal, I could just order something else in the next round. Among the better plates was the tart trio, the egg hash and the cheese plate. The ones I didn't enjoy were the squash rings and the fish. Such a great time, can't wait to come back again!! The views were also just so fabulous as we sat outside overlooking the water.

Lovely time! Try to go at sunset if you can, because the view is beautiful. Our reservation wasn't until 7:30, so we caught the sunset at Mallory Square and headed over for drinks at the bar until our table was ready. The inside is so cozy, I wouldn't have mind dining there! My dining companions thought this was the best meal of our trip. We got a variety of plates to share - beets, ahi tuna tacos, crab cakes, salad. But we can't stop thinking about the bread that was served with a garlic manchego butter! The bite of the night!

I love the breakfast here. I celebrated my birthday dinner last time but I was surprised at how good the breakfast was. The service is amazing and the vibe is great!

Second time down to the Keys and second time eating here. Both times were fantastic and had great service from Joanne. Wife and I sat outside for sunset and it was beautiful. Highly recommend.

Celebrating a special occasion. Sunset reservation with the romance package to create a more memorable experience. Rose petals on the table plus a bottle of bubbly. The staff was welcoming and friendly. Smiles and congratulations. The waiter gave us a quick tour of the menu with suggestions according to their serving size. We opted for an appetizer and smaller plates in order to leave from for our own dessert sampling. Bc it was a night of sweet indulgence after all. With more of an appetite I would have liked to try one of their fish entrees being that they offered 3 different fish entrees. Perhaps next time. We ordered the crab cake, wild mushrooms and the tender greens. For dessert- the blood orange panna cotta, the dark chocolate tres leches and the Cuban bread pudding. While they were tasty, the tres leches didn't have any semblance of tres leches in any way. It was more of a dark chocolate cake with hint of espresso flavor. And the bread pudding was served cold (accidentally). They did apologize for that and removed it from thebill on their own accord. The experience was memorable and I would recommend this as a place to celebrate.

Had an amazing experience at hot tin roof! The food was absolutely delicious and the atmosphere was amazing. They are very open to making substitutions! I forget the name of our server but she was absolutely amazing (she had gorgeous blue hair lol) and took great care of us, also provided us with amazing recommendations!

My wife wanted to celebrate her birthday in Key West. So I had heard good things about Hot Tin Roof and it checked off the boxes I wanted to nice enough to be peaceful and romantic, on the water, great view of a key west sunset and good food. Our server was Andrea and she did a very good job. I had emailed ahead to let them know it was my wife's birthday and they had a nice little board on the table that said happy birthday Rebecca. All the food items were pretty good. I question if the beef cheek was actually wagyu, but it was ok, the Mac and cheeses was really good, the brussel sprouts, crabcake, ahi tuna tacos were very good. The buratta was ok, and the key lime pie was nice. I would have liked a little more whipped cream on that pie, and I was hoping they'd write something or bring a candle, but overall it was a nice meal.

Nice place for brunch at the start of Duval Street. Good staff and brunch menu. Recommend sitting outside and enjoying the boats pass by.

When we were there in July there was a mix of attire - business casual, shorts/tshirts, evening wear.

Going there for dinner in a couple weeks, what was your favorite recommendation for apps, drinks, dinner?

We had the arugula watermelon salad..,fabulous! (I've been trying to recreate it at home because I loved it so much!) We had the scallop risotto for our entree and hands down the best scallops we have ever had!

Fantastic venue to watch sunset although obscured by the Sunset Key as it gets low in the sky…read more Service was sketchy. Non English speaker who forgot a simple request for mayo so we could try to choke down our chicken sandwich. Food was uniquely terrible. Chicken sandwich was small for $21 and I swear it was frozen and microwaved prior to bringing out to the table. It was so dry and obviously over microwaved, but we did not say anything we just asked for mayo to try to chock it down, but the mayo never came. This is an overpriced venue that cannot even get bar food right. For the price, food quality, lackluster service, too loud music, and obstructed view, do yourself a favor and go to the Tiki Bar at the Galleon for picture perfect sunsets, followed by dinner on the marina. Spent over 2 weeks here this time and have each June for the past 20. Last year I met my Son and Daughter in law there for drinks but did not eat. Tonight is our last night here and I wanted to do something different with my girlfriend. Should have taken my own advice and stayed at the Galleon. I am in food service so tipped for food I could not each but as a KW regular I will vote with my feet and not return . Below is the sunset view from the Galleon.
