The Sarah Seven experience fell well short of expectations--especially given the price point of their gowns and the $50 fee just to book an appointment. Unlike other bridal salons I visited, Sarah Seven doesn't allow you to browse and select dresses on your own in the shop. Everything must be pulled by your stylist. Out of all the dresses selected for me, only two aligned with what I'd described as my style and preferences. The rest felt completely off-base, making the appointment feel like a waste of time--and money. Speaking of time, there's a strict limit on how many dresses you can try on during your appointment, regardless of how quickly you're moving through them. I understand the need for structure, but this policy felt unnecessarily rigid and didn't account for the fact that most of the selections weren't even close to what I was looking for. The most disappointing aspect was the energy from my bridal consultant, who seemed disengaged and gave the impression she'd rather be anywhere else. Shopping for a wedding dress should feel special and exciting, but instead I felt rushed and unheard. Adding to the frustration, one of the dresses I tried on was so sheer that you could see my underwear through it--even in dim lighting. When I asked about this, I was told they don't offer lining and that I'd need to find my own solution, whether that's purchasing a slip or finding another workaround. When you're charging $50 just to walk through the door--on top of the already high dress prices--the experience should be exceptional. Sarah Seven needs a major overhaul in their customer service approach. I'd recommend looking elsewhere for a more personalized and enjoyable bridal shopping experience. read more

Although I did not choose my dress here due to budget, I cannot recommend this bridal boutique enough- my friend and I were greeted with enthusiasm and were made comfortable in a private room that felt more like a living room than a bridal shop, which made me feel safe from any judgement or comments- something I felt at other shops. We were offered refreshments at first and Arena asked me a few questions about my style preferences and helped clip me into some dresses, and she even had me try on some very fun ones just to experiment with! After that, a team member gives you a call to have a pre-consultation: sizing, styles, answering questions, and giving you a lay down so that you are clear on expectations Make sure you go to the right location. I made a human error & went to the old location in Marina. Even so, my experience was impeccable. My party was seated in the larger room. So chic - beautiful green couch & comfortable sat my 5 bridesmaids. Our stylist, Arena, set the mood right with music & provided white wine! There are large open windows to let in natural light in. Arena is damn good at her job! She really understood my vision & feedback. I tried 3 dresses all SO beautiful. I felt lux, red carpet ready, and beautiful. But those 3 dresses didn't fit the vibe of my Tulum wedding. Arena knew the dress I was interested in (The Morrison off the Liquid Luck line). But after hearing my feedback and wanting me to feel the best, I asked about the Bronte. I don't remember much about it but I remember liking it. When I put it on, I instantly knew it was THE ONE! Sarah even helped zip me in! I felt confident and in love. I didn't buy (yet) as I didn't want buyers remorse. I had another appt at another shop the block down - that was a horrible experience. I cut that appt short bc the experience was night and day! We came back and Sarah Seven herself fitted me, gave me insight on the custom measurements, and ran me through the contract. Had an appointment at Sarah Seven today with my two best friends, one of which is an upcoming bride! As we walked up the stairs, we entered the dreamiest bridal shop. We were greeted by the lovely Nicole, who was glowing with warmth at the top of the staircase. She was expecting us and made sure to mention it. I had the honor of joining my best friend since 4th grade at Sarah Seven for a dress fitting. At least two other people that we know bought their wedding dresses here. The ambiance was serene and the dresses are absolutely stunning. Customer service was attentive but not pushy at all and the woman helping us never inserted her opinion outright unless we asked for it, which I appreciated tremendously. Further, all the dresses are made and altered in Upstate New York. Their turnaround time is totally reasonable (unlike other shops where the dresses are manufactured in Thailand, etc). After our visit, I visited their Instagram page and the headline reads, "Wedding gowns that look like something you'd actually wear." Yes! This is 100% correct. I noticed some of the dresses that my friend tried on looked completely different on other women. You could have the same dress on seven (get it?) different women and the dress will look completely different. In the end, I love how Sarah Seven's dresses bring out the natural beauty of the woman in the dress. Whereas, some other wedding dresses completely distract you from the beauty of the bride. My only wish is that Sarah Seven would offer extended sizes, as a plus-size woman I dream of wearing a Sarah Seven on my special day. read more

Sarah Seven was my first and only wedding dress store that I went to. The styles are so unique, timeless and honestly fierce as f*ck! The process of setting up a fitting appointment was easy! The consultants were so awesome, which made finding "the dress" not daunting at all! Because of Annie and Katie's expertise, I was able to find THE DRESS. They saw the potential even before I did! I received a cute as bag filled with cute Sarah Seven merch before leaving. Their in-house seamstress Crisel was freaking bomb. She snatched me up, kept me calm through the process.. and I never felt more confident to wear my dress. I purchased a size 6, but eventually took it in approx 5 inches in total. She made it fit perfectly to my body. I swear to you dress goddess. So the pictures displayed are a true testament to her work and skills... and damnit, just an alll around good person with good vibes! As a bride to be things were hectic. But at Sarah Seven, I was consistently greeted with excitement and joy! Posivibes all around and was so truly appreciated. I went with the Deandra and I've received soooo many compliments! I know I love the dress now and will even in my 90s. Super chic even in it's simplicity! I'm not a lace or train kinda girl... so this was me through and through. I didn't wanna portray myself as someone I was not. So I couldn't be any happier! If I could give a zero star rating I would. The workers, especially Nicole, had the worst attitude and customer service. It takes a lot to get a bride and her whole group to leave in tears, yet Nicole and her team managed to do it. Misunderstandings aside, having the appointment booked and paid for weeks in advance with emails exchanged the day before confirming our appointment, Nicole left us standing in the rain and wouldn't even let us inside to reschedule. She gave us a fake phone number to call and we caught her in the lie. This team needs to learn how to treat people and customers with respect. read more
