SarahCotta is my favorite plant store in the neighborhood to visit. They have a wide array of beautiful, happy looking plants, and the service from the ladies that have helped me out is outstanding. They are great at recommending plants for my needs (whether it's a sturdy plant that doesn't need too much attention, or a plant that can withstand humidity and a bit more darkness in my bathroom). Every time I shop here it feels like a trip to Disneyland (for an adult..!) Prices are reasonable although not the cheapest. Hopefully they stick around for a very, very long time :) read more

Bought this huge Thai Constellation for $99 here! I've spent the same on a baby Thai, so I was excited to buy this early Feb. it's been doing well so far -- the staff at the front made it an easy decision with her knowledge of the plant. The plants are incredibly well maintained and the staff is kind. I wish the pots were set at a more affordable price, as they have a great selection. read more

The sweetest little plant boutique with the most unique selection of plants. The plants were vibrant, beautiful and healthy. This boutique is filled with the happiest plants I've ever encountered. Seems like the plants were dancing with excitement and greeted me hello when I walked in. I was fortunate to meet Sarah the owner. She is knowledgeable, plant passionate and very friendly. I wanted another plant that I saw on past photos, however they were out of stock. Sarah suggested another plant. The plant suggested is actually a better fit for my bookshelf. She advised, the plant is still growing and will start to grow longer vines. The second I unwrapped the plant, I could feel an overwhelming feeling of happiness. This little plant, which I named Patrica compliments the top of my bookshelf well. Can't wait to see her fully grown with long vine draping down. Thank you Sarah! Being in my plant mom era, I'm constantly in search of local plant shops and happened to come across SarahCotta on Yelp. After reading the many positive reviews, I visited their Instagram and lucked out on a weekly restock day when new inventory was posted. I was immediately drawn to a specific white princess philodendron that was featured, so I reached out to request it. Sarah responded and was very accommodating. She sent me photos to confirm it was the correct one and reserved it for me after I placed my order. When I arrived to pick it up, I was impressed with the many types and quality of plants they carried and spent time browsing through their collection. My favorite plant store in the area. Place is small but they have lots of variety and always bring in new and interesting plants. They have common/popular plants mixed in with some unique and rare ones. There's a plant for every budget. All plants are healthy and I love how knowledgeable they are. I think plants make people happy and there are some really happy people working here. Always smiling and friendly and willing to help. I love their propagation wall. I've visited lots of plant shops and this is the only shop I've seen a "trade" wall. Pretty awesome! I've I've been able to add some new plants to my collection. So bring a cutting! ....and big props to the young lady who followed her love and passion and created this incredible shop for others to enjoy....beginners to plant pros. Loved this cute little shop. The branding here is perfect if you are giving someone a plant as a gift. I bought a Campfire Crassula Capitella, a Lavender and a bear paw succulent that had a blooming flower. Overall extremely happy with my purchases. The owner was there and she was kind enough to answer my questions. This place allows only 4 ppl. at a time it is rather small and they don't rush you but its worth it. Mainly house plants here however you can always ask about converting some of them into outdoor they are just mindful of full sun and prefer the shade. Sarah reached out to me after my initial experience and apologized for my experience. She was very sweet and asked to give them another shot. So, I went back in today to pick up some plants that I ordered off their website and I was so pleasantly surprised. A big part of having a good experience at a new place is their customer service, initially it was lacking and I felt as if I was intruding. Today, I walked in and the employee was handling a different customer, she stopped mid-sentence and welcomed me, which was great because I had not gotten that welcome before. After she was all done, I walked up to the counter and let her know I was picking up an order. She made small talk, we had a bit of a laugh and it was just such a nice experience overall. As before, the plants were beautiful, I looked around while I waited and they seemed to have even more plants in stock. Will definitely come again! read more

The owner, Sarah, knew exactly what my plants needed when she recommended a natural insecticide and all my plants are still thriving! Today, I was in need of a perfect housewarming gift for a dear friend who also has a cat. Kayla was so patient with me, carefully giving me a long list of recommendations that met my criteria wonderfully - pet friendly, small, and manageable. I left with the most gorgeous rattlesnake calathea and pot to go with it for a great price, and also a little Philodendron that came with my purchase (they had a special sale) to add to my own collection. I've been following SarahCotta on IG for a few months now. She has a wonderful selection of beautiful plants at great prices, with occasional rare plants! She's very in tune with the market and is always super helpful. I've dropped by a few times and always have pleasant experiences chatting with her. She shares what she knows about plants and gives great tips on their care. She loves and welcomes dogs in the store, which I always love seeing on IG! They only allow 2 people in the store at a time, which I appreciate to enforce social distancing. I came here yesterday looking for marimo moss balls, which have been hard to find because of the zebra mussels invasion. Most of the plant and aquarium stores I've called either don't have them or don't know if the moss balls they have are safe. Sarah knew - she did her research and made sure that her supplier had clean moss balls that would be safe to put in my aquarium. I really appreciated that and drove over to her immediately to pick them up. SarahCotta is a POC- and female-owned business and I fully support small businesses, especially when they're doing their best to keep their customers safe and know their stuff. I'm really happy with my experiences here, and I really recommend anyone interested in plants to come check it out! She also has a really cute "take a cutting, leave a cutting" wall, which is a wonderful way to help people grow and share their collection! Cute little shop by my house I came to recently find out about! Fast and easy service. In and out in about less than 15 minutes. Parking is free on the street. I went on a Wednesday morning and had no trouble finding a spot right in front of the store. Prices are reasonable. All covid guidelines were met: no more than two customers allowed inside at the same time. Sarah, the owner, was wearing her mask all the time. Oh my goodness - SarahCotta Plants is so cute and dandy! I feel like I'm walking into a mini forest. It is so fresh and delightful in there. I enjoy art, beauty, plants, nature - all the magical things in life. Am I a good painter or have a green thumb? A girl can dream. But, I stopped by SarahCotta's Plant shop to pick up a Pothos plant (which is great for novice plant owners and lovers who's able to care for a VERY forgiving plant). The owner definitely loves and cares for plants. She is knowledgeable and treats all her little beauties like her babies. She has extensive knowledge in the world of plants and I honestly know exactly how to provide care for my little guys now! Parking is plentiful on the street and across it. I stumbled upon SarahCotta Plants a few months back while searching for a Shady Lady Black Olive Tree online. They had a couple of them in the store but my wife wanted a very specific look. We didn't pick up the tree but my kids loved the presentation of the plants in the store so much, they each got a plant for their room. The staff by the way is super knowledgeable and helpful. They told me to either hit up the store on IG or send an email to the info line and they will notify me when they get more trees in. I sent an email that day and got a response immediately. I was not expecting this at all but the owner hunted this tree down for the next few weeks until he finally found the exact look my wife was looking for. He even delivered it on a Saturday. Unbelievable service you won't find these days. And we got a tree that is absolutely gorgeous! Check these guys out! You will not be disappointed. read more

Visited SarahCotta a few weeks ago because my GF follows Sarah's Instagram account and here are some of our thoughts: * Helpful and friendly staff, including Sarah herself was present. * Plants were very healthy and priced well for a small independent shop. * Shop adheres by COVID regulations and only allow a few customers in the shop at a time which is nice since the shop is relatively small. * Connected to the local community, we noticed that the other patrons visiting seemed to know Sarah on a personal level which is nice to see a business plugged in to the local community. * Great selection of rare and common plants!
