This place was walking distance from a couple friends' place, and it's been their regular to-go coffee shop out of all the coffee shops around this area. Very cute flower logo, and the space is rather large with a store for plant-related goods, a great assortment of plants, outdoor and indoor seating, ordering area, pick up area, etc. Friendly people that work here as well! We tried some espresso tonics, cappuccino, non-caffeinated drinks, and matcha. No complaints from us with what we ordered. They also do some seasonal drinks. One that stood out was an iced matcha with strawberry rhubarb. I'd try that one if I were in a matcha mood, but I needed those espresso shots in the morning. I was recently in the Eagle Rock area and went straight to yelp for an iced latte recommendation. Found great reviews for Creatures Plants and Coffee and looked interesting, so I visited and I'm glad I did. I found parking on the street, it wasn't too bad at all. It looks like they have a couple of spots behind the café, if you're lucky. I love this set up, there are so many places to sit and sip, gather, work, study. The plants make this unique café shop, gorgeous! It's like everywhere you turn, there is more seating and more plants. Inside the café, you can find merch and a small menu. The barista and cashier were really friendly and helpful. I went with the wildflower iced latte. The cashier said it was a good choice and I also asked someone in line. I thought it was delicious. It could have had more flavoring, but I definitely can tell that the ingredients were of quality. I also walked around and looked at the plants. The neighborhood waited for this project for years. I'm a local and i've witnessed the construction from the ground up. Trully a Labor of Love! Concept is great. I love plants a bean enthusiast and still trying to appreciate coffee, a frustrated caffeine connoisseur. I patronize this place and wish for their success, long lines outside and more branches to open. I love this place period. My wishes and suggestions please convert or merge the store into an indoor place for customers / (2 indoor tables inside is not enough) considering other competition nearby m, specially in the front. That room will probably accommodate 6/10 tables. Please, please consider this idea, then i would hang out more specially during hot days. I absolutely love this concept! A nursery and coffee shop in one! The space is super cute, open, and inviting. There's plenty of room to walk around and explore all the plants without feeling cramped, and having a coffee in hand just makes the experience even better. It's such a peaceful, feel-good spot. I ended up purchasing a vanilla latte & a beautiful Hoya plant. I've been to a couple coffee shops that you can purchase plants, but none that compare to this. This is a neat mixed nursery and coffee shop in Eagle Rock. The outdoor area is calm and serene. It's peaceful to sip good coffee amidst beautiful plants. They have plenty of seats and tables nestled in the nursery grounds, and some of the tables even have outlets next to them which is amazing considering some formal coffees shops don't even have outlets for their patrons. The nursery offers a decent selection of well-cared for green house plants, succulents and cacti, as well as plants and vegetables for an outdoor garden. There is also a gift shop with common and novelty plant-care themed items. The staff are friendly and the parking is relatively easy. I have to come back and try their Fig & Flame Matcha Cap next. ** Applecore Espresso Tonic** $6.95 Spiced apple & chai syrup with a hint of star anise, served over espresso and topped off with tonic. It's bitter, sweet, tangy, and spicy all-in-one. In fact, it tasted like an elixir that was doing something good for my body. However, I can't say that I would order it again. **Mocha $6.85 My go-to when I'm feeling indulgent: Double shot of espresso with cocoa and 1/2 and 1/2. The coffee is tasty and the added hints of cocoa add a nice, rich flavor. ** Turmeric Latte** Ginger and turmeric blended with spices. I ordered it hot with Macadamia Milk and it was really good. I'd give this drink 4-stars. Beyond a place to sip and chill with the plants all around you, there's a good selection of plants to take home with you. If you're looking for a plant friend or green creature, there are all types. Native plants are also available seasonally. Walk past the coffee bistro area and check out the back shed, if you have time. It's filled with must-have trinkets, gardener's necessities, and a selection of Nature lover's nicknacks. Exactly as expected. Went it near closing time though with the family. My teen daughters enjoyed the vibe. My mom admired the plants. Husband said coffee was reaaally hot (that's a good thing). I appreciated being able to drink a non dairy non caffeinated and hot drink - almond milk steamer from their kids menu. They added a shot of sweetener that made it very fragrant without being sweet. Overall I'd come back with friends to enjoy the place a little more. A little hard to find parking so be on the lookout for street parking when you're close. read more

I accidently found this place while driving to Eagle Rock from Hollywood. What a great find. I loved everything about this place. The variety of the plants and the delicious coffee drinks. What more can you ask for? ....lots of seating throughout the nursery between all the plants. How amazing is that. I'll have to come back and visit again when I'm not in a rush. Small parking lot of maybe 5 spots and street parking is also available. I absolutely love how there are plants everywhere you turn. While I am not a coffee drinker, everywhere there is coffee there is tea. Am I right or am I right? I ordered an Earl grey iced tea which was lovely on a sunny afternoon. I was greeted upon entering and friendly vibes all around. They offer vegan/ gluten free treats from Val's vegan bake shop and Farmshop. Next time, I'll try one of the food menu items as it was only a beverage purchase during my first visit. The Creatures's Plants and Coffee certainly has vibes, with good coffee and seating amongst the plants. It makes for a cozy place. The Americano is delicious, and I actually think the pottery they sell are fairly priced, too. The one dock I have to give is that a good handful of the indoor houseplants need better care, since I saw both diseases like rot and browning, as well as pests like fungus gnats. It's tough to have sick plants around, but it makes me hesitate to buy because I also don't want to introduce any pests to my houseplants (that happened before, horrible experience!) read more

We had to support this place after I heard of the support they provided Altadena after the fires, by donating to the Regrow Altadena plant stand. We post our home and hundreds of plants. What a great experience. My two favorite things in one place. Coffee and a wide selection of lush beautiful plants, gardening supplies and friendly employee's. Adorable. Simply adorable. There is so much to love about this spot. Places like this make me want to pursue botany. But alas, I'll live vicariously through my friends because I already have enough hobbies I've fallen behind on. When you order your coffee, make sure to wander all the way around the property because there's quite a bit to see. There's a greenhouse and gift shop. If you want a break from Starbucks culture but still need to study, consider hunkering down here and doing your remote work in the greenhouse. Parking is a bit of a challenge. My friends were able to find street parking right in front but I had a hard time initially. The surrounding residential streets are packed so I can't even recommend parking there. And now for your frugal auntie tip: they have free dog treats! In various jars throughout, there are complimentary dog treats. When the lovely cashier asked if I wanted to take some, I told them yes but didn't have anything to store them in. They went in back and sweetly handed me a small ziplock bag! I'm about to be the favorite with my boyfriend's dogs. I can already feel it. read more

Super hip place, lots of space, uber cool design and all, still quite a shock to spend $13 on a muffin and a cup of coffee. But the real bummer came when I came across the receipt I asked for. It's printed on more or less Post-it note sticky back paper, so just receiving/handling it was awkward, folding it up to put in my wallet was weird and now trying to unfold it so I can file it was dumb. I think they do it so they can slap the little label on my coffee cup = super easy, makes tons of sense for them. Stopped by here for a coffee and actually stumbled across a free succulent workshop they were offering. It was taught by Paulie who was very informative about the succulents and was so sweet. I got to arrange my plants which was a very fun and relaxing thing to do on a Saturday morning. At the coffee bar, I ordered an Iced Lavender Latte which was a bit on the bitter side but I still enjoyed it. I ended up going overboard a bought my succulent arrangement as well as two other plants and a pot. I love this place so much I will come back!! read more

Got a matcha late and cold brew and it came out to $15. The only seating we could find with shade was in the green house which was really hot. Lovely spot! They have the most darling logo, which I left having purchased a few stickers of for my coffee and plant loving friends. My honey lavender latte was honestly perfect - I could taste both flavors very strongly without it being overly sweet. My friend got an espresso tonic and he enjoyed it. Quiche Lorraine was nice, and they asked if I wanted it warmed up - didn't take long at all. They have a wide variety of coffee, tea and pastries on their menu. Furthermore, what set this coffee shop apart is their plant nursery and huge outdoor space. IMHO it's very creative layout that dovetails the two elements. Creature's outdoor and indoor atmosphere provides tranquility and mindfulness while you sip your drink. We arrived on a cool Friday afternoon to check out this coffee shop. And we were ebulliently greeted by a female (pink colored hair) barista. I had a Butter Croissant and Flat White x half-n-half. It was perfectly made to my liking. Prices were reasonable. Service was on point. Parking lot has only four car spots but ample of street parking. Dog friendly. And they do have Free live music events, clothing swaps, workshops, cultural programs etc. Overall, I had a good experience and enjoyed my drink/pastry.
