Visited SarahCotta a few weeks ago because my GF follows Sarah's Instagram account and here are some of our thoughts: * Helpful and friendly staff, including Sarah herself was present. * Plants were very healthy and priced well for a small independent shop. * Shop adheres by COVID regulations and only allow a few customers in the shop at a time which is nice since the shop is relatively small. * Connected to the local community, we noticed that the other patrons visiting seemed to know Sarah on a personal level which is nice to see a business plugged in to the local community. * Great selection of rare and common plants! All in all, support your local independent shop and keep up with their Instagram to see their new additions to their selection. We plan to visit this spot whenever we are in the area. read more

Every week you go there's something different and its honestly one of the few things getting me through this quarantine. They don't just sell plants too! Cute plant shop with very kind owners! I brought in my spider plant because I wanted an advice on how to propagate the little babies. Sarah and Todd kindly explained how I can cut them off and propagate them, and showed me all the different plants propagating in the shop. They were very patient with me asking question after question. I bought a little propagation station and placed my little spider plant babies once I got home, and I'm so excited to see how they'll grow! Sarah and Todd are always so cheerful and friendly... their warmth always makes me feel so comfortable. So happy this cute little neighborhood plant shop opened up near my house! Sarah, the owner, is so sweet and knows all her plant stuff, so she's always willing to help out customers and share tips and tricks for keeping their plants in good shape. The shop is small but packed with lots of variety, and there are always new plants in rotation. Also lots of cute accessories for plant lovers, including pots and planters and greeting cards. This is a family-run business and they are so passionate and work really hard to curate beautiful and affordable plants. In light of the global pandemic, it's more important now more than ever before to create a space that feels comfortable and relaxing. SarahCotta Plants offers such a beautiful refuge from the mundane and provides inspiration for creating the perfect space. Even the gorgeous floors and sink spark joy and inspiration! Every single piece - whether it is a plant, pot, key-chain, or incense, is chosen with love and is completely different from anything that I have ever seen before. I have now visited the store three times since its opening, and each time there has been a new array of unique options to choose from. So far, I have bought an aglaonema (Sparkling Sarah), a rubber plant, an air plant, a face vase, a few pots, a bundle of palo santo, and an incense holder. I am so happy to know that I can find extremely cute and unique pieces while supporting a local, woman-owned business. What I love most is that I shared with the owner (Sarah) that I have been on the hunt for more succulents - especially a string of dolphins and mother of thousands, and she literally wrote down my name and promised to let me know once she has them in stock. Guess what, she called to let me know they are both in stock!! I could not believe that the owner not only remembered me, but took the time to let me know that they are available! I've visited many plant shops all over LA and when I heard a new plant shop opened in Glendale, CA, I was elated. I've visited this shop several times and I believe that this is one of the best plant shops I've ever been to. What separates Sarah from other plant shops is how fuller and bursting her plants are! Sarah always makes sure that her plants are full and thriving, so every time I purchase a plant, its roots are extremely healthy and already bursting out of its nursery pot. The prices are also fairly average, which is great cause I'm paying a similar price from any plant shop except I'm purchasing a much fuller plant. Not only that, the shop also sells various accessories that range from face masks to cute propagation stations that are super affordable. It's every plant lover's dream shop and I am always coming back for more. Also, may I say that Sarah is such a sweetheart. The staff member present was incredibly kind and enthusiastic about plants, but not at all socially demanding. The shop has an amazing ambiance, and Sarah, the owner, has fantastic taste in plants!
