Serving Size was smaller than most Mexican Restaurants I've tried but the quality and flavor was on point. I ordered the combination plate with tacos. One of my tacos was broken. I asked the young server if she could remake one of the tacos and said that she can't and gave me a soft corn tortilla to put around the hard taco. 10/24/25 - My family met in Parker AZ to attend the Posten Memorial where our grandparents & my mom & her siblings were incarcerated during World War II. My cousin made reservations for the entire family around 39 people @ Sarape Mexican Grille. They did a good job of handling our group. I ordered fish tacos that had fried cod fillets w/shredded cabbage & a nice cold dark Dos Equis. The taco was very good but I wish the fish was a little more crispy. Our server did a great job as we had a pretty good sized group. I don't know if I'll ever get back to Posten AZ but if I do I would probably stop in @ Sarape Mexican Grill. This is the first 4 star review that didn't live up to expectations. I read the menu including beverages. They didn't have any wine, I know Mexican food and wine doesn't seem to go together but a Chardonnay, that most Mexican restaurants have, is good. Food being brought out on a cart like you would see in a cafeteria or hospital was just weird. If it were a lot of plates I would be okay with it but I'm talking two plates. The place was clean and service was efficient but not friendly. My chile rellenos hardly had a batter on it and it was small and basically tasteless. The cheese in the enchilada wasn't even melted. We had a party of 4 stop in for lunch. We were greeted right away and sat at a spacious booth. Our server Kimberly came over tight away and took our drink order. She brought our drinks over we were ready to order. She mentioned the selections were large and they sure were. Our food was hot and delicious. Good groceries, service, consistent, friendly staff, clean environment. Bright open atmosphere. Would be nice if owners took advantage of three large big screens and at least showed NFL game broadcasts on regular cable for Sunday day games. Sarape opens at 11 am on Sundays and could attract customers for lunch, cocktails or beers during the NFL games. I'm sure some do not go there because the games are Not shown. It's a mystery to me why. One suggestion is plates need to be much hotter to present food that is warm enough. Green cheese enchiladas are tasty, however the cheese hardens too fast. The green sauce is real good. Salsa bar is well done with lots of choices. Sarape is a plus and NFL Sundays would be fun.
