This chickadee does not like car shopping but here I am (again). My friend and I were greeted outside by Jonathon. He was personable and friendly, but not excessively. He was very knowledgeable about the vehicle that we were interested in and showed us all the bells and whistles and went on test drive with us. He was also eager to show us the dealership which was AMAZING. There is a restaurant inside the dealership for people waiting for service. Also a real coffee bar, where I was treated to a delicious latte. There is a movie theater with reclining seats. AND there's a separate relaxation room with 2 giant comfortable hydro massage chairs. If you are looking for an auto service company that treats your vehicle with respect, look elsewhere. I recently took my Limited Edition 2015 50th Anniversary Mustang in for recall service. I brought the vehicle (7600 miles) in on July 1 in impeccable condition. I pick up the vehicle the next day and it was filthy and it was driven 7 miles when the recalls were all for non-driving repairs. Upon entering the vehicle to leave, I noticed the Mustang was in TRACK Mode and a TRACK Mode application was selected. It appears the tech, let's just call him Ernesto, decided he needed to test drive the vehicle 7 miles in TRACK mode to make sure the new rear camera was functioning properly. Of course, I am very upset with this dealership that would try to gaslight me into thinking that even though the tech should not have put the vehicle in TRACK mode, that Ernesto didn't drive the car in an abusive manor. Yeah right!... They must think their customers are ignorant. Erik, the service manager, stands behind Ernesto because Ernesto said he'd swear on a Bible. Bill, the Ops Manager, also stands behind Ernesto because Ernesto 'is a good guy who wouldn't risk his job by doing something stupid'. Several calls into Ian Parisi, GM, who decided I wasn't worth a phone call. Outside of a backhanded apology by Bill stating 'the tech just being curious going through the apps and the car was not driven harshly' there never was an attempt made to make things right to make up for the wrong that was done to me. I will also be reaching out to Ford to make sure there is a record of this service travesty. There are better options elsewhere- stay away from this dealership if you truly value your vehicle. read more

I brought my new ford bronco in to Sarasota Ford for its first oil change. I knew that there would be a short wait time, but what I was not expecting was such excellent and generous customer service. When I checked my vehicle in I was told that they were offering me a complimentary meal and drink at the restaurant on site, and after that was invited to wait in a massage chair at their onsite movie theatre. When my oil change was complete they called me and I went out to get my car. It is so refreshing to have a positive experience when dealing with garages and dealerships, so they get 5 stars from me. Will definitely be bringing my car back here. As far as oil changes go, they are a little more expensive than some other places, but not by much, and you get the additional benefit of knowing that any service is dealership backed. read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. I've owned my 2024 Ranger Raptor for six months, and it's spent the majority of that time in the shop at Sarasota Ford -- with no resolution. I initially brought it in for an issue with the steering mode button not showing on the screen. Their solution? Replace the button -- three times. Yet the issue persists. The steering setting doesn't appear on the IPC, though I confirmed it still functions by cycling through Raptor mode. So clearly, it's a module or IPC problem, not a button. Then, after picking up my truck on the second visit, I start it up and see a Mustang Mach-E screen on my Sync display. I immediately go back in and show the service advisor -- who had no explanation -- and the manager tells me it must've been an OTA update while in their shop. Problem is, the last OTA update was a month before. They offered no reflash or solution -- so I fixed it myself using an AB file sent to me by a Ford tech from the Ranger6G forum. Fast forward: I return again for new issues -- "Drive Mode Not Available" and "Damper Mode Not Available" -- and this time I finally get a great advisor who listens. I explained I'd already checked sensors and battery, and one Fox Live Valve sensor was reading way off. He actually took the time to log the problem and even suggested I contact Ford for a buyback, which I did. Here's where it goes off the rails: hours later I get a call from the service manager, telling me Sarasota Ford will no longer work on my vehicle because I "accused him of lying." In reality, I simply stated facts, with screenshots to back it up. That's apparently enough to get blacklisted. I then called Matt Currie Ford in Venice, made an appointment -- and the next morning they canceled it. Why? They "didn't want issues with Sarasota Ford." So now, because of this dealership's inability to handle accountability, I'm driving over an hour just to get basic service. Oh, and Currie had two green Ranger Raptors I was ready to buy if mine couldn't be fixed. They lost out on a sale and a long-term customer -- all thanks to Sarasota Ford's childish dealership politics and lack of professionalism. Avoid this place at all costs. If something goes wrong with your vehicle, prepare to fix it yourself -- or be blamed for their failures. read more

Car is done tires fine, and I now am aware of the tire balance extra charge. The situation is resolved. Never trust this dealership for truth in service performed. Brought my car in for service. As part of the package they rotate the tires. I left and noted a vibration in my front end. I had to bring it back. I am now sitting in the quick lane service department waiting for my car to get the wheels balanced since that is not part of the tire rotation. It will cost an additional $100 for this service. We are now 40 minutes behind my appointment time and my car is still not in the service area. read more

BUYER PLEASE BEWARE So we bought 1 2023 F150 Hyrid truck off this dealer brand new about $85k dollar truck. We bought it to travel out west to see relatives, had a small 7x12 enclosed trailer to match the truck, was told we would get about 14-17 miles per gallon pulling this on our trip. We took photos showing the dealer we were getting 5.7-5.9 miles per gallon, terrible. We returned and I was going to sell this lemon, but my wife said sell her Lexus SUV instead, she wanted the truck and doesn't pull a trailer. About 24,000 miles on the truck the dash started delaminating, so we called Sarasota Ford, sent pics, but nothing. We then called before the 3/36k bumper to bumper warranty was up and they told us bring it in. It had 36,399 the first time, we were told we would have a loaner, but we had to wait 3 hours because they had to get one from the rental car company. Then we called to see how it was going they said the dash that came in was defective, so they would return our F150 and pickup the loaner. We used it to go back to our farm in GA until we got back. They came and dropped off a much nicer loaner this time. Then we were told by Ford a new ticket was generated showing more miles and they would not do anything else. At this point I hope you see that neither Sarasota Ford, nor Ford Motor Company stands behind their product. We have been a valued customer of Ford since 1984 I guess no more. read more

What a pleasant surprise it was to visit this beautiful dealership after visiting the regular one closer to me. From my first call I could tell they were very professional. I setup the time for my test drive and walked in and was shocked at how lovely the interior is! My salesman Edwin was ready for me right away, patient, and the pinnacle of professionalism & has been helpful ever since I purchased my new car. He's great! Even the finance office was friendly and didn't pressure me to buy warranties like I've experienced when buying prior vehicles, although I did anyways. I bought the 100K warranty plus tires and wheels warranty which will end up saving me $ if I ever need new tires or damage my rims. I had never envisioned a car dealership that had a delicious gourmet restaurant inside, a room with massage chairs, and a small movie gallery with reclining seats. We purchased a used 2018 Ford F-150 from Sarasota Ford in late October 2023. It was about everything I was looking for in a truck although I had been looking at RAM, Silverado and Ford trucks. In fact, we went to Sarasota Ford to look at a used RAM and decided against it as it was pretty beat up. The rep offered to have us look at a recent trade that hadn't made it to the lot yet. It had the FX4 stickers on the truck bed so we assumed it had the FX4 off-road option package, including an electronic locking differential (ELD) that is important if you take your truck off road or use boat ramps, etc. Later we came to find out that it didn't. The stickers were fake and the dealer should have known that they were fake. They said nothing, letting me assume the truck had the option package I needed. To this date, they have done nothing to rectify the situation other than offering to trade my truck in for something else. Obviously, we won't do business with them moving forward. We just hope others do their due diligence so that they don't get taken advantage like we did.. read more

To be honest. I had my truck picked up twice by these guys. First time nothing was repaired. Parts ordered. So I had to come back and get a loaner for two days. Then I'm told it will be picked up for the GPS fix. That never happened So I called them for pick up only to have my truck not repaired. Then to top it off my truck is given back late and then I was late for an engagement after work. My advisor was Chris Palm. Communication was non existent.
