I have now purchased two cars from them within the past year. The first one, back in December of 2014, went very smoothly. They offered me private sale value for my trade-in and worked with me to get me a great deal on a vehicle I was interested in. A few months later, I was in the market for another vehicle, and decided to go back to them because of the positive experience I had before. I was paired up with an excellent sales man named Brian, who was very easy to work with and was responsive to all of my requests and inquiries, despite being very busy with several other customers throughout the two or three weeks we had worked together. Everything went smoothly until the night I went in to finalize the deal. I thought we had settled on a price over the phone, but when I got there, I found out that there was a caveat to that price. I'm not sure if there was some sort of misunderstanding, but we weren't able to reach an agreement that night, so I left extremely disappointed. I was contacted by their Customer Relations Manager, Robyn, the next day. She seemed genuinely interested in hearing about my experience, and wanted to know if there was anything they could do to make it better. I told her I would still purchase that vehicle for the price we had originally agreed on. They had sold the vehicle I was interested in, but had another one (priced higher than the one I was looking at originally) that they offered to sell me. She worked with the General Sales Manager to get that vehicle to the price I had wanted for the other vehicle, and I agreed to come in to look at it. When I arrived, I received the best service I have ever received from any business. Robyn was still there after hours to personally thank me for giving them another chance and to ensure that everything went smoothly. She had everyone working on the paperwork before I arrived, the car was detailed and ready to go, and the entire process was amazing. I met with Brian again, and he apologized for how things went the previous night and that he understood where I was coming from. When I went to the finance department, I met with Lon, and he also provided me with excellent service. He ensured that the final price I was offered was met, regardless of actual taxes/fee expenses. Overall, the entire team did everything they could to make sure that I was happy. Although I encountered a speed bump initially, Robyn, and the entire staff went above and beyond my expectations to ensure that I not only had a positive experience, but that it was clear that the previous experience I had wasn't the norm for them. I truly appreciate how responsive, understanding, and accommodating they were following my disappointment. Everything was fast, efficient, and as promised. This is by far the best dealership I have ever been to, and I would be happy to go back if/when I make another car purchase. If you're looking for a business that takes a genuine interest in their customers, then this is the place to go. They are known to have the best prices in town, but this type of service is what will keep people coming back. read more

My husband and I could not be happier with the service provided at Sarasota Ford, especially by Kristen Goffeney and Daniel Wentz. In addition, the entire facility is designed with the idea of servicing the customer, not just the car. The front seat mechanism on my Ford Flex stopped working. We called the Venice Ford dealership, since we live in Venice, and they gave us an over two week wait time. The seat needed to be fixed so that my 5'10' son and 5'4" daughter could both reach the pedals safely. Kristen at Sarasota Ford got us in at 8 am the next day. For some reason, our name was not on the list when we arrived, but that was no problem for Daniel, who calmly made a call to Kristen and then took our car. When the part arrived at the service center two days later, it was damaged. No problem for Sarasota Ford. Because we would have to wait a few more days to get our car back due to the damaged part, they gave us a rental plus an $8 coupon to use at their trendy, in-house coffee shop. While I was waiting for my husband to take care of the rental paperwork, I tried out the hydromassage chairs, which came with a screen to read an e-book or watch a show. Was I on vacation or getting my car fixed? The Ford F150 truck we received as a rental was awesome! Smooth ride, easy to drive, comfortable and roomy cab. Loved it, and I never drove a truck before! When we returned the F150 for our car, Daniel again could not have been nicer. He showed me the movie theater the dealership also has for customers to use. Can you believe it? There was minimal wait time each time we were there; plenty of counter help...almost unfortunate because I loved that massage chair, and I haven't seen a movie or enjoyed a nice cup of coffee outside of the house in a while. The entire building was clean. The tvs behind the counter showed the master mechanics at work- very interesting! And, needless to say, the front seat of our car now works perfectly. Not only will be buy our next car from Sarasota Ford, but we will keep making the drive up from Venice for the stellar service. Daniel and Kristen, you are A+! The Best Service Department! The Service department at Sarasota Ford is phenomenal! I'm new in the area and my Ford Focus Electric was having battery issues and couldn't charge when I returned after the unfortunate COVID break. I called several Ford dealerships in the area and all of them quoted two weeks turn around time. I felt hopeless and then one of the other dealerships I recommended Sarasota Ford. Sarasota Ford was the only one I contacted that told me to come in right away and they would do their best to take care of it. I spoke to the manager Ken, and when I got there 20 minutes after getting off the phone with Ken, he assigned Daniel to work with me right away. While I was waiting for diagnostics, Daniel offered me free certificates for their onsite cafe. The facility is amazing! They have a full-service cafe serving breakfast, lunch, and drinks, and a relaxation room with state-of-the-art massage chairs and TV. It's one of the nicest waiting areas I have ever seen. When Daniel returned and told me that my car might need major work, I was pretty distraught and worried. However, Daniel put me in a free rental car right away and kept me in the loop of repair updates continuously throughout the process. I was able to have a loaner vehicle for the duration. It took a while and a lot of work, but Daniel, Ken, and Sarasota Ford helped repair my car without any out-of-pocket cost to me. Daniel is courteous, knowledgable, and compassionate. He went above and beyond to reassure me and help me through this difficult and unfamiliar situation. The staff and the customer service at Sarasota Ford is even more amazing than the incredible facility! I can't say enough wonderful things about Sarasota Ford's Service department. It's the best experience I've had. Even though it's not the closest dealership to my house, but I will only take my vehicle there for service. I highly recommend them! read more

Several weeks ago, I was contacted by this dealer about a complementary oil and filter change, tire rotation and truck wash for the new truck I purchased from them. I agreed and made arrangements to also have my wiring checked for a short I seem to have. I wanted it all done at once because of the 70 miles I live from the dealership I choose as mine. When I arrived at Sarasota Ford for my appointment I was told they were too busy to do the wiring but would have time for the oil filter, tire rotation and truck wash. I then made a second appointment for the truck on the following Tuesday. I gave them the keys and went inside, a few minutes later I was told it was on the rake being worked on. One hour and 20 min later I was given the keys and paperwork and told it was all done. I was in a hurry and left the dealership and was headed home before I noticed the windows were dirty. I thought they had forgotten the car wash, no big deal. When I got home I noticed the tires had not been rotated. I have a car lift in my shop to do service work on my service trucks. No car wash, no rotation it was time to check and see if they even did the oil and filter. They had put a sticker in my window to have it changed again at 13190 miles. The problem is they never changed it to begin with. The filter was still dirty from 8000 miles I'd already put on it and the oil was black. I drove 140 miles round trip, used 9 gallons of fuel, 4 hours of my work day and didn't get my wiring problem looked at either. $48000 for my new ford doesn't get me much. If you're going to cheat someone why cheat a customer that has had fords for 40 years. I've tried to reconcile this situation but I can't get a return call from Sarasota ford. read more

BEWARE THE EXTENDED SERVICE PLAN AND THOSE WHO SELL THEM!!!!! THEY PUSH THEM FOR A REASON!!!! Purchased brand new 2010 F-150 from SARASOTA FORD and they convinced me to buy the extended service plan along with it. PLATINUM PLAN, $3,400 additional - bumper-to-bumper, zero deductible, 7 year, 100,000 mile warranty, the best you could get. The biggest rip-off that I ever allowed to happen to me. Brought truck in 5 weeks ago for regular service (only serviced at Ford dealers), and was informed that the tie-rod ends needed to be replaced. 53,000 miles and the tie-rod ends are already shot on a 2 wheel drive, garage-kept, showroom condition truck??? Well, OK, that's the reason for the extended service plan, or so I thought. Not yet 7 years old, 53k miles, the service writer said the warranty should cover it. Calls back 2 hours later and said the steering system is not covered after 50k miles. I have the contract and there is nothing in it that excludes steering system. I e-mailed the dealer with my dissatisfaction and was quickly thrown out to pasture. Response from Kelly at Sarasota Ford was that she was sending the issue to another manager. Next day, e-mail from Ian, oblivious to the issue, trying to sell me a new truck. I have taken this to our attorney and was left with no choice but to direct our correspondence with Ford (Dearborn). Have been a loyal Ford owner since my first F-100 in 1979, wife has nice C-max. Customer abuse will cost a dealer far more than a lousy $400 steering parts replacement. Never had another claim and someone got to pocket $3400.00. My wife and I are now shopping the GMC line for the first time ever. AGAIN, BEWARE THAT SMILING SALES FACE!!!! In early January of this year, my father and I were on the search for a Ford Mustang and luckily we stumbled across a great deal for one that happened to be used and was being offered at this location. Without a second thought, we went to look at the car in-person and immediately fell in love and so of course we ended up buying it. Like all used cars, they often have a few things that need to be tweaked or replaced and that was the case for us. We contacted Sarasota Ford to see if there was any chance that we could get those things fixed and we were told that we could bring the car in to get looked at. When we brought the car over we were taken care of by the Asst. Service Manager, Daniel Wentz and were pleasantly surprised by his professionalism and his kind and attentive mannerism. Whenever we expressed our concerns about the issues we were having with the car he demonstrated that he cared and helped resolve all of the issues hassle free. It is really nice and comforting to have someone who is very evidently passionate about what they do and that values the importance of giving great customer service to help you out because it makes you feel like you are in good hands and that is exactly the way we felt! A major bonus to our experience with Daniel is that he speaks Spanish (and a few other languages too from what he's told us!) which was very helpful because my father was able to express himself easier in his native language. Even though this location is a 45 minutes away, it is definitely worth the drive and I can't imagine going anywhere else for my car's needs. After looking on Car-listing websites for months, we finally decided to head down to Sarasota Ford and check out their inventory. Upon arrival we were greeted by Sales Consultant, Al Bogdanovic. He showed us all of the explorers around the lot, including the ones that had just come in and were awaiting service, keeping our options open, which was nice. Initially, there was a pre-owned Eddie Bauer that we had our eyes on..unfortunately the car was sold to another prospective new buyer. Mr. Bogdanovic was happy to meet with us back at the lot on his day off, and was determined to help us find the car best suited for us. After searching for hours we finally found a Ford Explorer XLT which was EXACTLY what we were looking for!! Al had the car sent through detailing and we were able to take it home that same night. After taking the car to the mechanic we were notified that it had an issue and Sarasota Ford was happy to take the newly-bought car in for servicing. The car is now back in our hands and runs better than ever. Al also kept us up to date on any updates on the vehicle while it was gone. Shaun Benson, who performed the work on the vehicle did a great job!! It seems clear that the company has good communication between their employees, managers, and prospective buyers. I would definitely recommend anyone in the market for a new vehicle to check out this dealership where it is clear that they thrive on good service. I am so happy I contacted Sarasota Ford. After spending many hours at other dealerships, I decided to give one more a call/visit before giving up. I knew I wasn't going to be the easiest customer, especially with my current credit score - However, all I wanted was a chance and the opportunity to explore my options. I was welcomed by Sarasota Ford. The staff allowed me to tour their inventory without aggressively stalking me. I was introduced to Carsten who was kind, patient, knowledgeable and very understanding. We test drove several vehicles, eventually he found me exactly what I wanted ...and he managed to get me approved with the payment limit I personally set prior to car shopping. I was impressed by how friendly the staff was to visitors / customers - and, most importantly, I witnessed how encouraging and supportive the staff is with fellow co-workers. Although we all know that the car market is a competitive business, it was very refreshing to be in an environment where that was less obvious than most. The location was comfortable, with lots for people to do while waiting ; a cafe with yummy treats, beautiful aquariums, tvs and comfy couches. They even had a massage therapist offering free neck and shoulder massages in the showroom. This was the first time I have ventured out to make a big purchase alone. I am a single mom, a young widow - this kind of stuff can be very intimating. I have never been to Sarasota Ford personally. I have thought about checking them out in the past, but after an experience incurred Jan. 5th at the McIntosh and 41 construction site, I surely never will. Im sure most everyone has encountered this very messy intersection and had to deal with ugly drivers at some point, but If you are going to be a rude/obnoxious and reckless driver, you should probably have the intelligence not to do it in a company vehicle with dealer plates and SarasotaFord.com stickered across the back window. The bald man, possibly in his 40's to early 50's, driving a blue ford pickup with dealer license plate PKO-567 decided that even though a car was already at the barrels squeezing everyone into a single lane...he would go flying up very quickly and force himself in front of said car by inches, laughing and gesturing at like an infantile jerk who just scored a victory. The car had to slam on the brakes, causing others to do the same from behind. He was stopped at the light on Bay Rd. about a mile later, and again he was laughing and making gestures at the person in the vehicle like a moron. A call was made to the manager of Sarasota Ford with a message left, and no one has ever bothered to respond. If this is the way a company acts towards legitimate complaints due to someone they hired, who obviously is not a decent person with any display of respect or intelligence to start with, they do not deserve my business, nor anyone's. read more

My credentials: I have worked for an award winning customer service team on the National Level, when I enter a business, I look for certain things. From the sandwich maker, to the service counter to the mechanics, everyone at Sarasota Ford was in a good mood that day. People were not dragging down with an "I hate my job" ambiance, they were happy, friendly, professional not only with customers but with each other. This speaks volumes. If people are happy in their environment, they are going to always do their best. The place is clean. It is professional. Upon further people watching, I found a huge piece of the puzzle. AMANDA TIFT. Have you ever heard the term "total package?" She resolves conflicts, she is knowledgable, she cares, no wonder she is in a management position she is simply incredible. The promises she made under the time slots given.....were all beaten. Amanda several times said, let me just double check....only to find out she was initially right all along. She remembered both my wife and I from two years ago. Our initial contact was Tara Nissen from the BDC and she assisted as far as she could until we needed a product specialist and David Shinn stepped in and answered all our questions. We wanted to work as much as we could over email and phone and they did what they could right up until we got to the trade. We were off on the numbers so one of the sales managers, Daniel Day, reached out and made it make sense on why my husband needed to go up there. So, he made the drive from Cape. Once he got there David had the truck we were interested in clean, gassed up and ready to go. Nice way to assume the sale. Well, we were still off on the numbers and my husband was ready to go. So the finance manger, Seth Gwaltney, came out and said to give him 5 more minutes to make it work. They came back with a solution but I have final say on what happens. Why? Because I too work in the car business (I'm one of those) and wanted to know what the whole deal was before any signing was done. When I got on the phone with Seth we worked on getting the coverages we wanted and needed to protect and maintain our investment. 15 minutes later my husband was on the road and now we have a brand new F-150 4x4 in our driveway. I just graduated college a couple weeks ago and came home to Sarasota for just about a week... leaving in a few days. I did not expect to buy a car or even seriously think about buying one while I was home, but my mom and I stopped by Sarasota Ford one day just to check out their used selection... after clearing up a little misunderstanding about a 2014 focus that had been sold moments before I came in, our salesman Joey Rippolone stayed with my mom and me all afternoon, showing us similar cars and taking us step by step through the whole process. He was incredibly patient and gave us more than 2,000$ off a car that was two years newer than the originally car that we came in to see. Even though I didn't buy the car on the first day, he stayed in personal contact with us throughout the next day while I thought about the decision and he answered every question we had within seconds by text message. We were having a dinner party that night and Joey even personally delivered my new car and drove away with the trade-in... needless to say, this process was something I had never been through before and Joey made the whole experience actually exciting and enjoyable, instead of stressful and overwhelming. Bought my 2016 Ford Expedition from this dealership yesterday and I had a very pleasant experience. We had an awesome salesman named Carsten. Very laid back easy going, easy to talk to guy. If you are taking an infant baby with you on the test drive like we did, his voice will sooth your child to sleep! (or at least we credit him for it). I was very shocked with the lack of sales pressure we thought for sure was coming after test driving a bunch of vehicles; which is one of the reason why I'm rating them 5 stars. They simply told me their best price, gave me it in writing and let us take off. We ended up searching for another week and ran across another car that was the same year and miles but was less expensive. We ended up using it as a negotiation tool to get the car we saw at the Sarasota ford dealer for a cheaper price (as they will promise to beat their competitors price). I highly recommend doing this for those looking to get a good deal; we ended up saving a ton of money on our car and walked away with a decent warranty that their competitor was not offering. Their amenities are amazing to say the least, they have a hydro message bed that is very much worth trying out. They also gave me an unexpected $25 gift card just for coming back for a second visit. Overall I highly suggest checking them out, really nothing to lose and plenty to gain. read more
