A 24/7 Turkish bakery?! Whaaaaaat. This was a no brainer for me. I HAD to stop by. The parking situation is a little crazy. They have a lot with maybe 4-5 spaces in front of the store, but it's tiiiiiiny. I'd rather look for street parking nearby. I came by on a late Tuesday night and I was half expecting it to be empty inside, but I was wrong! The bakery is warm, inviting, and clean. There's ample seating (both indoor and outdoor). I noticed that some people had their laptops with them, so maybe it's also a good study/work spot? All of the baked goodies looked appetizing! I explained to the employees that it was my first time trying Turkish pastries and asked for recommendations. Prices are reasonable with most items being around $3-$10 each. I ended up ordering a Turkish coffee and kazandibi (pudding/custard). *Kazandibi (~$8) - This is one of the most best selling items! It's a thick, milky pudding with a golden-brown coating of caramelized sugar. I LOVE custard and pudding so I really enjoyed this. The taste reminded me of vanilla pudding, but more earthy. I also tasted hints of milk and egg whites. The texture was velvety smooth and silky. *Turkish Coffee (~$4)- The presentation was adorable. The coffee came in a cute cup and plate set. The flavor was a lot more intense and bold than other coffees I've tried! I was caught by surprise when I took a gulp of the grounds at the very bottom of the cup... but consider me a fan!!! I will return to try more treats!

It's a cozy cafe with lots of cakes to choose from. I tried the opera, cheesecake, and éclair, and they were all delicious. The coffee was amazing too. I'll definitely go back.

Turkish bakery filled with TONS of goodies and open 24/7... too good to be true, but it is true! This hidden gem is located in a spot where it can be missed. Once here you will have the option to sit inside or outside, but it's what's on the inside that counts. This bakery boosts a ton of heavenly treats, and they offer Turkish coffee and tea. It's a winning recipe when you have a bakery like this that is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It is unheard of around this area which makes it a hidden gem. FYI: Parking lot is tiny, so pick your spot wisely... or someone will close you in.

Absolutely fall in love with Turkish breakfast!!! First time trying Turkish breakie and it was the best choice. We had ordered each of delicious breakfast menu-Simit plate, Breakfast Plate, Gourmet breakfast plate. Great place to talk, enjoy delicious, healthy breakfast especially kaymak with honey was absolutely yummy! Parking might be a challenge but really enjoyed the time here and the service was amazing! Definitely will come back more often :)

Great Turkish Bakery. We had a really great olive bread shaped like a bagel. And an almond dessert (like rice pudding but with Almonds) topped with pistachios and few almonds. Their baklava was really well made. My friends and I really enjoyed everything we had here. Wish calories and sugar did not restrict us from trying more items. Service was kind and efficient.

If you're in the area, do yourself a favor one morning, and pay a visit to Saray bakery. The best part is definitely the food! Some of my favorites are kaymac, börek, poğaça, and sütlaç. I also love their platter (see pic), which comes with kaymak, honey, cheese, olives... you will be in breakfast bliss heaven! This place also ticks all the boxes for affordability and baby-friendliness, making it a go-to spot for families like mine. They are open 24/7, so it's perfect for families whose little one is wide awake, hungry, ready to explore the world at 5 AM. The staff here are also top-notch - friendly, welcoming, and always ready to make good recommendations.

    Fruit cake and tea

I ordered a slice of fruit cake with cream and it was very tasty. Not too sweet which I LOVE. The staff are very nice. One of the staff member brought me a cup of tea and it was also tasty and light. Not bitter at all. This was my first time coming here. They are also open 24hrs which is mind blowing. I will definitely come back here.

Very cute, clean and welcoming bakery. They have indoor and outdoor seating but today was gorgeous out so I opted for outdoor seating. Although my mouth watered for their desserts , I was too full after I finished my latte and Turkish bagel. The bagel was good, fresh and toasted to a perfect crunch. My coffee was good, not crazy amazing but it did it's job. The service was very fast and very friendly. I love only a couple blocks from here so I can definitely see myself popping in more often.

    Menemen and simit

Simple, but nice interior. Kind stuff, quick service. The food was delicious, fresh. I will definitely go back.

I absolutely fell in love with this place from the moment I walked in. I was at a birthday dinner and we found out at the end of the dinner that they didn't do desserts. I am so happy this place is 24 hours!! I was welcomed with such joy. Everything looked incredible. I only came for a cake and end d up leaving with a slice of tres leches, red velvet, and some baklava as well! It was all so delicious. I absolutely recommend coming here. You can sit in or get take out. But you gotta try it.

We came here the other night for dessert. The kids wanted dessert. My daughter wanted cheesecake. My son wanted a cupcake. I remembered this bakery just opened up. I didn't think they would have these but they did! This is mainly a Turkish bakery. Everything was clean and bright. No labels on the desserts which i dislike. So you have to ask what everything is. So that can be a negative since it would be nice to have an identifier with an explanation of eat items may be. Also no prices. But I think they're moderately priced. We ordered a cupcakes, cheesecake, Turkish custard and a latte. Everything was delcious. We did not like the Turkish custard. But that's due to taste. We did not know what it was. It's sorts sticky mochi consistency. Not a lot of flavor. Parking lot fits about 5 cars. Plenty of seats inside and outside. Well done spot. Caked and baked goods look great. Will come back for more.

They absolutely deserve five stars. I am a big fan of Turkish and Greek coffee, and this place is legit. More importantly, the staff here are so kind, I always feel like they are my family. Whenever I miss Turkish coffee and dessert, I will revisit this place.

I finally ventured to a Levain Bakery to make my own personal assessment to determine and formulate…read moremy own opinion. Yes, the reviews are verifiably accurate and true. This location 167 West 74th Street is the original brick and mortar storefront. Levain Bakery does validate for all the hype, sweetness indulgence and fresh-baked artesian cookies and baked goodies. I am Cookie Monster from "Sesame Street" whose eyes are bigger than his stomach who becomes highly excited to engulf all cookies thrashing, splattering every where in mere minutes. There was a short line waiting to enter for orders to be placed. Upon entering the air conditioning is at full artic chill blast and the air has a sweet aromatic odor emanating throughout. I inquired with the sales associate if the classic chocolate chip cookie contained any nuts who responded "no." I do not have any food allergies. I absolutely do not like nuts in any form. I am not allergic to nuts either. It is not my cup of tea. I am very grateful the classic chocolate chip cookie does not contain any nuts. Customer service is very attentive and exhibited patience with time to explain and listen to my requests and needs. I was not rushed. I was seen. I was acknowledged. I am one life in the smallest measurement. I was not dismissed. I was respected without the standard producing a disgruntled face of reluctance to service me. I was heard. Merchandise of t-shirts, tote bags, mugs, gift boxes are available for sale as well. This location is small as it is pick-up and go. There are several steps going downward at the entrance which is not ADA accessible. There are some outdoor benches for seating. I suggest to order and consume in the comfort of your own home for full immerse enjoyment with a table. Yes, cash is accepted as that works greatly for me. Levain Bakery complies with "Prohibition of Cashless Establishments" as of March 21, 2026 where all retail and food establishments in New York State, including New York City, must accept in-person cash payments. Thank you, Levain Bakery for not giving me a red card! I was not blatantly ejected. I would surely return for another visit. Chocolate chip cookie $5.75 each One word: WOW! The interior was oozing with semi-sweetness. The cookie is gargantuan and very thick somewhat bulky. It is massive size well known weighing exactly 6 ounces (170g) each and measure about 8-10 cm. in diameter and 3-4 cm. thick. It is not a traditional flat cookie as I hoped. It is massive chewy interiors. It is soft. It is not crispy. It did break apart and dropped onto my plate upon the third bite. It is amazing! I suggest warm-up the cookie in the microwave for approximately 1 minute. I enjoyed mine with one glass of red wine which I did achieved equanimity state of mind. I was floating. Nota Bene: Store policy: "There are no returns on food or beverage. Merchanduse (T-shirts, bags, etc.) may be exchanged within 7 days with a receipt. Items must be unworn/unused and all original tags/packaging must be included."

We were introduced Levain Bakery cookies when I had my little guy over two years ago. One of my friends came to visit, gave us a box and told us to try it because the cookies are delicious. I remembered how big and filling the cookies were, you'd sit in comfort knowing how the flavors pop in your mouth. Now cut to this past year, we found out after exploring the website, there are gifts sets. Our current go to is the new parent gifts. We see it as whether a bew parent or one who is going through the next chapter with more children to raise- it's thoughtful of how a package can bring a smile to some sleep deprived parents who want to eat and relax. This was a cute idea, wish someone would gift to us after our twins were born. One day we want to check out Levain Bakery. For now, happiness is explored through the website and delivered to our famiy and friends. Thank yoi for the sweetness. Picture credit: taken by my best friend who received our new parent gifts set.

5/5 ... pleasantly surprised!…read more We visited Barachou's booth at the Bastille Day celebration in New York on Sunday, July 11, and it ended up being one of our favorite food stops of the day. We ordered the pear almond tart along with the set of three cream puff choux. Both were excellent, but the cream puffs were definitely the highlight. The choux shells were light and delicate, while the fillings were rich without being overly sweet. The salted caramel was my favorite--beautifully balanced with just the right amount of sweetness and a subtle hint of salt. My partner especially loved the lemon meringue, which was bright, refreshing, and full of citrus flavor. The pear almond tart was equally memorable. The almond filling immediately reminded us of a galette des rois frangipane, making it comforting, buttery, and incredibly satisfying. Combined with the pears, it struck a wonderful balance of richness and fruitiness. Everything tasted thoughtfully made with high-quality ingredients, and it's easy to see why Barachou has developed such a loyal following. We'll absolutely be back for another pear almond tart and the trio of cream puffs the next time we have the chance. Highly recommended!

I got two bags of their almond cookies and four of their cupcakes: two black and white cupcakes (chocolate cupcake with white frosting) and two of the "M" cupcakes (vanilla cupcake with chocolate frosting). This was my second time having their almond cookies and it was still delicious and not too sweet! I also had their "M" cupcake before so this time, I tried their black and white cupcake. It was okay, a tad bit bitter for me and reminded me of an oreo, I wouldn't get it again but that's just my preference. My friends who have tried their black and white cupcakes loved it though. Their "M" cupcake still remains the superior cupcake flavor and just overall my number one item from this bakery! Both locations seem to be consistent in their products, however, two things I noticed different in terms of this location was that I couldn't just enter the bakery, you need to wait for the employee to ring you in. And they also packaged the almond cookie bags kind of fancy, they wrapped it with a ribbon and attached their logo on the bag. I thought it was a cute touch :)

So fun fact they are now advertising Banana Pudding Hot Chocolate and it is NOT actual hot chocolate but banana pudding made to taste like hot chocolate. Why I got so confused? I don't know! Maybe I have been watching too many videos about Tyra Banks Hot Ice Cream. Either way I appreciate the guys patience and kindness when explaining it to me twice especially because I did not end up ordering that at all (though it sounds interesting) but I did get the regular actual hot chocolate and it was amazing! It tasted like melted marshmallows were in it! Perfect for a cold winter day. In addition we got to the humming bird cake, a cupcake, and the regular banana pudding. My husband had never been here before so you know we had to get the banana pudding, it's their claim to fame. And it is decent. Growing up in North Carolina banana pudding is taken very seriously and is literally at every gathering. Would this be a contender for the cookout? Sure! I have no complaints about. The other baked items were delicious as well. The store is cute unfortunately this location has no indoor seating but plenty of outdoor. She handled the situation professionally and deserves recognition. Unfortunately, the chaos continued. Kirk later made me a hot cocoa, and when I went to drink it, it spilled on me because the lid wasn't secured properly. At that point, I stopped believing in coincidences. And the cake? The German chocolate cake was terrible--dry AF and nothing like the Grand Central location. Not even remotely close. Between the coughing, the spill, and the subpar cake, this visit was uncomfortable, messy, and disappointing. Magnolia should seriously reconsider who they put on the floor and retrain accordingly--because this location is not living up to the brand. But honestly, I believe the 2 guys had to be the owners.
