Dessert 2.5/5 Service 4/5 [[HIGHLIGHT]]Ambiance 4.5/5[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]This aesthetically pleasing Thai cafe has been on my list, especially for their afternoon tea set, which you need to book ahead.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] While the tea set itself looked incredibly cute, the taste was a let down. The mango sticky rice in the set in particular- the rice was hard and tasted old, almost like it had been left out. This was a stark contrast to the regular mango sticky rice parfait we ordered separately, that one had perfect, fresh-tasting rice and was delicious. It felt like many of the desserts from the tea set weren't fresh, and even the jasmine flower tea that came with it lacked any real jasmine fragrance. I'd probably recommend skipping the tea set and just order individual desserts instead.

I had been on the hunt for this uniquely textured Thai dessert ever since my Thai friend had me try it and was going crazy looking for something similar. Mission ACCOMPLISHED. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This second floor Thai dessert cafe is located in midtown East right next to the 53rd Street Lexington Avenue train station stop and is, simply put, a DELIGHT.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]It is beautifully lit and decorated in gold everywhere with soothing music that brought me right back to Thailand.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I explained to the woman at the register what I was looking for and she knew exactly what I was craving. I also ordered a hot matcha latte to pair with my craving. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Next time I will make it a point to dine at their establishment even if for a quick few minutes because the ambiance was so soothing.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Being that it's so easy to get to, I will probably be coming here more often than not.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]It's soo cute inside! Lovely seating, with a small outdoor patio as well.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The desserts are all presented beautifully. I liked the steamed pumpkins cake. It's not too sweet, and it's warm and chewy. The coconut pandan cake was good as well, but I thought the flavor of the cream on top was a bit overpowering. The pandan latte is good too! The staff are extremely friendly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It feels cozy and peaceful inside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Thai. Dessert. Cafe. We don't have anything else like this in NYC, so by default Sarisa Cafe is kind of class valedictorian and prom king all in one. Fortunately, it also earns its title. Like all the other Millennials and Gen Z-ers flocking to the spot on a Sat afternoon, we got the Afternoon Tea and feasted on a bevy of delightfully "not too sweet" confections, including: - Steamed Coconut Layer Cake: Pillowy and coconutty - Mung Bean Cake: Starchy and coconutty - Steamed Coconut Custard with Sweet Coconut Filling: More coconuttiness for this coco lover mixed with the foodgasmic texture of custard - Golden Thread Pandan Cake: Not much pandan flavor and a bit dry - Coconut ice-cream shaped like snowman: Almost too cute to eat. Almost. - Coconut Tapioca: For those of who grew up on sago pearl desserts, this was just heaven. My fav of the batch. Honestly, the only real drawback of the experience was the tea itself. We opted for a simple pot of jasmine, and as gorgeous as the glass pot was, it contained too little actual tea--so it was constantly getting cold and diluted, and we were constantly asking for hot water refills. I'd still take this over the line at Tomi anyday.

Really wanted to like this place and have it be my go-to, but the desserts were mediocre at best. The presentation is pretty, but once you get over the initial hype, you'll notice that there's really nothing special about the desserts, be it flavor (too subtle) or consistency (too pedantic). It's just overpriced gimmick. We came on a late Saturday afternoon, and the place was pretty empty, so we got pretty chill service.

Met a friend who returned to NYC for a visit here for afternoon tea and some dessert [[HIGHLIGHT]]Lovely ambience.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]You can also watch the ladies make the beautiful cakes at the counter which my daughter loved.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The cakes were beautifully designed. The pandan cake was my favorite... the Thai Ice tea croissant was also really nice too. Service was friendly and attentive. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They also have a lovely small outside deck at the back.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We will be back with more friends

[[HIGHLIGHT]]oh my goodness this little upstairs cafe is so cute![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]we did tea time and it was so much fun.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] tea time was not a bad price --I believe like $35 (?)pp and you get a bunch of little desserts. I'm glad they give person an individual portion. Not really any tea selection, but the jasmine tea was good! service was great: our server was so friendly and explained everything.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]This is such a cute Thai cafe! Love the decor and mood. It gives off such an elegant feel.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The sticky rice treats were delicious. As Asian would say, "Not too sweet." The ultimate compliment. I love things all pumpkin so the pumpkin sweets were my favorite. I also got the tiramisu latte which was also not too sweet. Service was quick and attentive. I will say it's a bit on the pricier end. I would come back for special occasions. However overall this was a wonderful experience.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]A very cute Thai high tea place tucked away upstairs.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] All the desserts are coconut base. However, be warned that if you do make a reservation, you have to get one of the tea sets and even if you don't, everyone who is there needs to order a dessert. I feel like it's such a strict policy when not many people were there. I am also not a big fan of coconut so I wish there were more options that I can choose from.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]The cafe is stunning with great staff.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Thanks Jennie. I love that I got to explore thai desserts. High end quality desserts and drinks. We went for afternoon tea. The pandan coffee was great. A good roast. The savory desserts were great. Spicy purple coconut with green lettuce refreshing. Coconut balls delicious. The coconut stuffed croissant was amazing. The shaved ice was refreshing and tasty. That may have been my favorite.

This is a coconut lovers paradise! [[HIGHLIGHT]]A very cute cozy space up a flight of stairs and the entrance is to your right![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] If you wish to order their afternoon tea set, it is recommended that you make reservations ahead of time, but if you're just in the area and don't mind ordering a la carte- they do seat walk-ins! Prices are very reasonable and easy on the wallet! But don't expect a long menu because the menu is very limited and about 9/10 of the menu is coconut based and sweet! I ordered a coconut pandan cake and the sweet coconut cream on top is pretty good. You get thick pieces of juicy coconut flesh with the cream. I also got 1 of the 2 savory items they had and the chicken spread on the bread had a nice spice and the onion dip on the side complimented it well. Lastly, I got the steamed coconut layer cake. It had the texture and mouthfeel of mochi. It had the creamy and nutty taste of coconut, and no grainy flour on the exterior like you would when you eat a mochi. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a nice cafe in an area full of restaurants where there may be long wait times- worth stopping in for an experience.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

The Thai desserts here were so yummy! We got the pandan coconut cake, pandan croissant, and pandan fondue. We all clearly craved pandan haha. The best one was the cake!!!! They server high quality tea. The flower tea for 2 was fantastic and their London fog was the best we had on this weekend trip. Definitely worth a stop. Be sure not to miss them amongst the long line for Tomi Jazz!! This is well worth it and there's no 2hr wait.

Small hidden shop in Koreatown specializing in matcha and tea-based drinks!…read more I came to Mika's on a Friday morning, and while there wasn't a line, it did feel packed with the five people inside. I'd actually passed by this place multiple times but had no idea it was a cafe. This shop itself is more of a grab-and-go, but it might still take a while since all drinks are whisked and made to order. There isn't really space for a line to form inside, so you may need to wait outside to order (there's also a bit of a lack of room to wait for your drink once it's ordered). My strawberry matcha came out to $9.25 total, which is pretty pricey, so I expected a lot. In total, it took me around 10-ish minutes to get my drink with about 4 people in front of me. At first it took a while for our orders to get taken since the two employees were focused on getting drinks out ASAP, one person was preparing the syrups and milk, and the other was making the matcha. The matcha itself had a nice green color. I've had many strawberry matchas prior to this, and based on my experience, this place was alright. The strawberry syrup was nice and not too sweet, but I wish there was a bit more flavoring or more of it, as after two sips I couldn't taste the strawberry at all. Overall, it's a nice shop with cute trinkets around and their own products they sell, like matchas and tea sets. However, for $9, it was a lot for what the drink offered in my opinion.

And I commonly see the upstairs for private events like baby showers, bridal showers, or birthday parties on social media. After dinner with my friends, I was looking for dessert and I was glad to see this location closes relatively late on a weekday night at 11 pm. Upon walking in, I was greeted by a waiter who led us to one of the purple velvet chair booths that was perfect for two people and another waiter brought us a pitcher of water almost immediately. The menu is on a QR code already on the table and we were given ample of time to decide. My friend and I both already knew what we wanted to order. I got the purple Yam Souffle which takes 25 minutes to make and my friend got the fried squid tails. We also got a signature Rose Green Milk Tea to share. The waitress who took our order has great memory and recalled all of our items without writing it down. She also reminded me that I could adjust the ice and sugar levels of my drink which I had completely forgotten and would have got annoyed if my drink came out 100% sweetness. Another thing is that my drink order frequently comes out wrong at other locations so I was glad she got it right! Green tea instead of black tea and with milk instead of without milk. The purple Yam Souffle is just like the other locations. Hot, soft cakey texture balanced with an ice cold red bean Ice-Cream. So delicious! The squid tails on the other hand was not what we expected. It came out burnt and hard. The outer batter was not crispy either. We informed one of the waiters and he brought it back to inform the kitchen staff. We received a new batch that was not as burnt and had more flavoring this time around. However, the squid was still hard and not like the ones we get from other locations with smaller crispier pieces. Overall, it was still a good experience and I love the decorations at this location! This might be my second favorite location after the Flushing one. Would love to come back for brunch or hi-tea. Or regular food options when I have not already eaten dinner. My usual go-tos are the twister fries, Santa Fe chicken rolls, fried salted crispy chicken, and the trio dessert combo. However, this location has a lot more variety! FYI - there are two unisex restrooms in the rear for customers to use with really cute wallpapers too.

This is always my favorite spot to go for desserts and hangout. The interior decor is very modern,…read moresophisticated and stylish. We ordered potted rose milk tea to share, Dubai affogato and Brown Sugar Boba Mille Crêpes Cake. We came on a Friday around 4pm. Originally I wanted to try the strawberry matchamisu, however, was told that it sold out. What a bummer. The rose milk tea came with a themed pot and cups which is really cute. The rose fragrant smelled so good and the milk tea also tasted good and has a hint of rose taste. The cake was good, the boba was well cooked, chewy and flavorful! This time there was an unpleasant experience. At first when the Dubai affogato was served, we did not realize that the amount of the coffee was little until we saw another customer's dish that the volume of their coffee looked significantly more than ours. My friend brought it to the waitress attention but the waitress brushed it off and did not acknowledge our concern. When we finished and were about to leave, the same waitress came over and showed us that the container of the coffee was different and hence the volume of the coffee looked different. At this point, we did not care for it anymore. We would have been fine if the staff acknowledged our concern. We thought that maybe using standardized containers for the coffee would avoid this problem. Other than that, the food and drinks were good.
