When I dropped my car off it was making no noise and drove perfectly. I knew what issues my car had from a pre-purchase diagnostic elsewhere but still paid Sark's for another one before they did any work on my car. They told me that I had a worn output shaft seal, oil pan gasket leak, and a loose negative terminal causing my battery to go dead. This was after a regular diagnostic and an electronic diagnostic...so they say! I agreed to get the seal and negative battery terminal fixed which cost me $800. As soon as I picked up my car and began to drive home, I called the shop to let them know I was coming back because my car was making a loud clicking noise I had never heard before. I took it back the next morning and they "diagnosed" it again and told me it was a wheel well that they knocked loose while doing the repair. I knew that wasn't right and told the technician, but he promised that was the issue. I drove the car for another day or so and not only was the noise consistent, but I also had another dead battery! So, I took the car to a different auto shop for a diagnostic since I couldn't trust Sark's to diagnose it correctly and they told me it was my rear differential making the noise. I immediately took it back to Sark's and told them the problem and after a day and a half, they called me saying that I could pay $250 for a rear diff service or come get my car. Krystal is extremely rude and should not be running a shop if she can't talk to customers with respect. I asked for a call from the owner at 8am and at 2pm when I called back due to no call I was connected to Krystal and she reiterated the "pay $250 or come get my car". I was highly upset because my car was not making noises before I dropped it off and I felt they should have taken care of the issue or at least tried to work something out with me, but they did not. Plus, if they had truly diagnosed my car the first time they would have found that issue with how loud the noise was when I picked up my car. When I picked up my car for the second time it took a while for them to bring it around and Krystal lied to me and told me they had to move some cars around to get to mine even though she had just left out of the shop and seen what was going on. The truth is that my car battery was dead once again after they "fixed it" and they did not want me to know. I walked outside and saw 3 techs standing at my car with the hood up and Krystal still looked at me and said "They're just moving stuff around" even though she clearly saw my car being jumped. I asked the tech who drove around was my battery dead and he also lied and said "No the negative battery terminal was just loose" I asked what made him check and he replied "I always check that kind of stuff when I pull around a car" which I know is not the truth. I thought that Sark's was an honest locally owned shop but that is not the case. I DO NOT RECOMMEND TAKING YOUR CAR TO EITHER OF THEIR SHOPS! Even the Uber driver who dropped me off at the shop told me not to use them and let me know his company had issues with them as well. read more

While looking on here I saw a one-star review by a Kenneth O. Cheshire. This man needs to start living in reality. I was in the office during one of his "Check Ups" on his vehicle, and overheard his and George's conversation. George told him that the shop wouldn't start on his truck until he (Kenneth) brought in all the pieces. This is just business sense. Don't start until you have all the pieces so you don't end up with 50 half-taken apart vehicles around your lot that you're not quite sure what's been done with them. Apparently on the check up he performed while I was there, he still hadn't brought all of the pieces for Sarks to even check the parts, much less start the repair work. I've been to Sarks Automotive a few times for auto repair, and the place is an excellent place of business. I see all of the regulars are taken care of, and think that's a wonderful business practice. What person doesn't like to be treated like they matter to the business? If I decide to be a faithful customer, I get rewarded. I wish more businesses could have this philosophy. When you drop off your computer at a repair shop, you don't tell the techs exactly what to do to repair it, do you? Do you tell them which chips were fried and which screws to take out to test each piece? You may, but I don't. There's a reason why I let the professionals do their work. They know what their doing. Let them do their job. I choose to believe George has more knowledge of vehicles than some guy who doesn't know business sense, and tells professionals how to do their job. Every interaction I've had he has been a polite and trustworthy guy. Hopefully Kenneth will read this and return to the reality of a quality business with a knowledgeable and capable staff, instead of whatever dreamland he comes from. read more

I am righting in as a response to Kenneth O C's comment. I was there as a customer on this day. I was appalled at how Mr k was speaking to the woman and the gentlemen at the counter. It was very offensive hearing the language this man was using. The resptionest was being very good on how she was handling the remarks from Mr k. George came into the office to help the customer. Mr k continued his dis CUUS ion as he put it. George was very polite and was trying to explain the situation. I over heard George tell Mr k if Mr k had brought all the parts in that he said he was going to give them to do the job at one time rather then over several weeks his truck would be getting fixed. Mr k apparently chose to draw out the process by not getting them the parts in a timely manner. Maybe he should have let them get the parts. The disCUSSion was not getting any better. At this point George asked Mr k to come out to the shop. If George said anything thretning to Mr K. The man asked for it. I have had my cars fixed by George for many years now and he has bin nothing but professional and had my cars fixed right and in a timely manner. read more

We came here after our previous car shop messed up our appointments. We had a list of things they said needed to be fixed. We showed our list to Jeremy and he took a look only to find our issues weren't issues at all. They were very accommodating to us and honest. Jeremy says, "If I wouldn't be willing to pay for that repair on my own car, then why would I make you pay for it on yours?" They took the most conservative route and took time to properly diagnose the issue before rushing to mechanical surgery...The staff is all friendly and organized. Go here if you want honest people and honest prices. We actually went to the location on 1900 Wade Hampton Blvd in Greenville but he assures us the service is just as good as his other locations. read more

I had bearings pressed by another shop and found leaking under my truck. Brought it into Sarks and they discovered that the ABS gear was pressed in backwards. Not only did they drive me home (a few miles up the road) but the job ended up taking much longer and they didn't even charge me for it. I had to come back because the other shop cut my ABS gear and it was unusable. Sarks didn't charge me to pull apart the axle again and press on the new ABS gear. Jeremy is the man. My Caravan needed A/C repairs (I actually had the replacement part) but required a full purge & recharge. I had transmission problems and they attempted to repair the issue without me having to get another transmission. To no avail I had to get a transmission. We brought both cars here for our oil changes. They have a Groupon but will beat their price in the store. Full synthetic was only $48 per car which is a steal. We got there earlier than expected and they took our cars right away. Even worked with me on coming back after hours to pick mine up.
