Finally tried this place out for a quick bite for lunch on a Thursday. I've been wanting to try the food here but the line is always long for the lunch hour. Gotta let our soldiers eat first! So I've resorted to other places in the past because of it. But, I'm lucky to have gotten here with a short line today. The food was cooked right in front of us and about a 5min wait anyway, so not long. We ordered the beef plates, veggie egg rolls and a strawberry mango lemonade. Tastes like your typical Asian fast food type meal - oily with just enough salt to fill you up. Since I got a stamp card today, I'm sure I'll be back again soon. For $6.69 you can get my go-to: Chicken Teriyaki with steamed veggies and fried rice. Hearty portions, as much as the styrofoam clamshell can fit! After hearing and reading about the amount of food you get here and how good it is I had to stop by. I ordered the teriyaki beef with fried rice. They will ask if you want veggies..yes please! My mom ordered the chicken teriyaki with fried rice and veggies. The chefs cook the meat while the plates are lining up on the top. He will call out the meat and rice so be sure to pay attention. I had to wait longer since I ordered the beef instead of the popular chicken. I thought the meat was ok given the price. Not bad at all. Wish it wasn't so oily. The fried rice was ok. I felt like they cooked that rice with too much water. It was a bit mushy, but hey it was six something so I won't complain. We also ordered the dumplings and they were quite tasty. I liked that they had sriracha. I definitely needed the added spice. I would definitely come again to see if their food is consistent. read more

This location in the PX food court currently has a $5.89 chicken teriyaki special (drink not included) that includes enough meat to feed two people. Meals are prepped and cooked to order right in front of you while you wait - not sitting under heat lamps for who knows how long. Love the guy at the end that says, "yummy yummy" every time he adds the finishing touch of teriyaki sauce to your plate. - Waiting in line might be the only con here because this place stays busy, but just stick around. Wow, I ordered the "Beef and Shrimp" with mixed vegetables. I got a full container of rice (just about overflowing), a strip of broccoli, and the rest was cabbage. Where is the beef and shrimp you might ask? There were 9 pieces of small shrimp and a small portion of beef. The meat wasn't enough to mix with ALL THE RICE AND CABBAGE. They have a Ming Tree right beside them, that I am told Sarku Japan is co owners of. Not too sure if this is accurate, but I can not find Ming Tree reviews and wanted to write my review on them. Be careful eating at Ming Tree. I was dumb and did not pay attention, the food was "fresh" yet my box felt cold and the food was room temp. I am now recovering from food poisoning, still throwing up my chinese food (2 days later), and that is all I ate that day (other than a banana for breakfast). The customer service was amazing, but more attention to food safety at Ming Tree needs to be done. read more

I am only giving it a star bc I couldn't make a review without a rating, but in all honesty it deserves No STARS! I ordered from this place multiple times. usually the food is good. I ordered yesterday 7/23/21 a chicken and shrimp combo with fried rice. When I received my food I was given steak and shrimp with white rice. Meaning I got the wrong order. Thats not even the worst part as I was eating the vegetables I noticed something that didn't look like any veggie I've ever had. When I looked closer I realized it was some sort of caterpillar! I called the restaurant and the lady of course said "if you think it's a caterpillar you can bring it up here and let us see." I told her I was at work. She said "well your food goes through 4 people, when making your plate" Worst place ever. I wasn't attempting to get my refund I just simply wanted them to acknowledge and even apologize for the mistake. I hope it doesn't happen to anyone else. read more

Best Sarku Japan location we've encountered! Pretty darn good fast food. It's one of our favorites when eating at the Clear Creek PX.
