Bento boxes 1) chicken & noodles 2) shrimp & noodles

We ordered the bento box that comes with the main protein (like chicken, beef, or shrimp), rice or noodles, mixed vegetables, potstickers (dumplings), and California roll pieces. The sushi was kinda more sticky than I usually like it but it wasn't gross or inedible. The chicken was pretty good in my opinion and the shrimp was very good too. The vegetables were very bitter and I wasn't a fan of them at all. Maybe my batch of vegetables was bad but it was soggy and bitter. The service was great and even when I got confused on the name of things they were kind enough to clarify.

Meh. I got the chicken bento box, and $12.55 is high for the food quality. The steamed rice was the best part. The chicken was greasy. The menu picture shows a salad, but the veggies are mushy shredded broccoli and cabbage. Pot stickers are dry. I'm not sure what's in the sushi.

    Tasty lunch!

3/20/24 I've been wanting to check this place out since I found it was there! Ordered on Uber Eats for a Great deal! Picked the Shrimp Bento Box with noodles & vegetable spring rolls to be delivered between 11:30-12pm. Really easy & convenient! Made it early! Time is flying by too darn fast! Already here! It was delivered right on time. Lunchtime! It's a lot of food! Definitely leftovers! The dumpling, I'm assuming is the potsticker and it was really good! Fresh ginger. Fresh & tasty veggie like salad. CA roll slices were great. Even better with the wasabi & soy sauce included. Tasty noodles with the tasty shrimp. A lot of flavor. The vegetable spring roll was really good too, but I ordered a full order & there was only 1 in there. Why? They included sriracha sauce packets & that makes everything better too! Really good lunch and I would've given it a 5, but I paid for a full order of vegetable spring rolls. Not just one. Clearly a disadvantage to ordering delivery. Oh well! Still good & recommended!

Was scrolling on Doordash and noticed that Sarku Japan had a 4.7 star rating, so I decided to give it a try. For $11, this was a great amount of food! The chicken was flavorful and cooked well, and the rice was also really, really good. The veggies had no flavor but topped with the teriyaki sauce they tasted great. I had no idea that this was located in Fashion Fair, but will buy from them again when I happen to be shopping in the area! Bonus: I really liked the to-go containers. It's sturdy plastic and has a little compartment for the sauce container to sit on top!!

Cockroach in veggies. Absolutely disgusting!! Unsanitary place to eat. Will never go here again.

Found a cockroach in my food!! It was in the veggies. Absolutely disgusted & horrified. I already left not knowing this was going to happen or else i would be speaking to a manager. Tried calling, no one answered. Clearly they have roaches in their food because where there is one, there is many!!! Stay away from this place!! Going to find a corporate phone number.

Very disappointed. Chicken was overcooked. Had to ask for a fork and had to go back to get some teriyaki sauce. Food was mediocre at best.

The menu presented extensive and adventurous options that as first timers could have been intimidating but with the help of Donavin our delightful server, we selected the perfect seafood salad for the Mrs. and the curated selection of Maki (delicious sushi "tacos") that together made for the perfect share. Add to that a smooth Japanese beer and a surprisingly moderate overcast that made our dinner on the patio the perfect way to celebrate our first meeting 47 years ago. There were so many other tempting menu options that we'll look forward to sampling on our next for sure visit. Hopefully we will have the pleasure of having Donavin as our server even though our observation is that all the young people serving are helpful and gracious . Having read about Oiza in the CVLUX magazine, I can honestly say our experience so grandly exceeded our expectations my wife wants to submit her own review!

We chose to commemorate it by having dinner at O-iza and what a wonderful choice it was! As soon as we entered the restaurant, we were immersed into the a serene and beautiful environment characteristic of the Japanese culture. The young ladies that greeted us and then ushered us to the patio were lovely and gracious. It was then that we met Donavin who became our adept curator for the evening. He effortlessly, patiently and with insight matched our curiosities and tastes to the perfect menu choices. We quickly realized that we were barely scratching the surface of the delightful selections that the menu has to offer. That means we need to return and continue our exploration. Hopefully, we again will have Donavin to guide us. We would like to thank the entire staff for a most pleasurable evening. Nancy M. Ramentas

Whether you're craving sushi, teriyaki, or ramen, they really have something for everyone. The sushi and sashimi are incredibly fresh -- honestly some of the freshest fish we've had at any sushi restaurant. It tastes like the chef went out and caught it that morning. The 14-piece sashimi platter with a couple of rolls was more than enough for two people, and everything was excellent quality. The ramen is also fantastic, but fair warning: the bowls are HUGE, so definitely come hungry. Their garlic edamame is absolutely addictive, and we really enjoyed the poke in the seaweed poke salad, though the dish does lean very heavily on the seaweed, so just keep that in mind before ordering. Cassidy is new to the restaurant and waited on us. an Shewas wonderful -- super friendly, attentive, patient, and just genuinely great service all around. The only downside was the new menu design. The font is extremely tiny, printed on a small laminated sheet, and honestly very difficult to read. Hopefully they make the text larger in the future because the food itself is outstanding. Overall, highly recommend Shobu if you're looking for fresh sushi, excellent sashimi, hearty ramen, and great service.

Being Japanese, my Grandma typically craves Japanese food and only goes to places she enjoys. I wanted her to branch out, so I selected this spot. When we entered, the vibes were a bit off. It was summer in the valley, and it was hot. There was no AC inside, just fans, and we were literally sweating during our entire meal. It was quiet, very dark, and not clean--sticky floors and menu. The service was nice, but not very attentive. Regarding the food, we got two Bento Boxes and one Caterpillar Roll. For the price, the portion was good, but the quality and taste weren't the best. The tempura was really thick, and the shrimp was reminiscent of the frozen Costco shrimp tempura. The sashimi was stringy and of poor quality. The rolls we had were falling apart, and the avocado was mushy and not fresh. Everything we had was subpar at most, which is a shame considering how vast the menu is (lol at their AI pictures though). I wouldn't come back nor recommend what we got. Good Japanese food can be hard to come by in Fresno. I'd skip Shobu Japanese Cuisine due to the food quality and environment. Find them off Blackstone Ave. in the shopping complex with free parking.

A full menu of Sushi, noodles, gyoza and rolls made it difficult to choose but eventually we narrowed it down. I always try the Unagi (eel) at any sushi restaurant. Known for its customizable ramen bowls with flavorful broths and a wide variety of toppings, as well as, other menu items like rice bowls, bentos, and dumplings, Tsuchiya Ramen definitely lived up to it's almost 5 star Yelp reviews. The waitress was friendly and the food came out fairly quickly once our order was taken ~ less than 10 mins for sure! I ordered the spicy miso ramen ($17.99) with a sweet corn side (+$1.50) and complimentary topping of the fried garlic. The hakata (thin style noodles) were perfectly cooked, with a lil al dente bit to them. It had all the trimmings that I like ~ green onion, chashu, jammy egg, crunchy wood ear mushrooms, naruto fish cake, marinated bamboo, and nori. The broth was authentic, flavored with such depth. You can really taste the slow-cooked, miso quality in it. I loved the fried garlicky taste too! It was the right level of spice, I didn't even need to add any chili oil, like I usually do. My picky daughter opt'd for the "make your own ramen" option (starting at $12.99) ~ getting the same hakata thin noodle with tonkatsu broth, chashu (+$3.25), fried tofu (+$2.50), and freebie toppings of nori, sesame seeds & fried garlic. My son ordered the OG tonkatsu ramen w/ extra marinated bamboo (+$2) on the side. Lastly, the hubs wanted to eat lighter & healthier, so he opt'd for the teriyaki chicken rice bowl. Everyone loved their meal pick. Dare I say..I even think it ranks better than some of the ramen joints in the OC. Who knew Fresno was poppin' in the foodie dept? Lol A total RxFoodie recommend and I'd return if I'm ever in the area again!
