Sarku Japan in Superstition Springs Mall Mesa AZ

I went to mall today and tried Sarku's teriyaki. It was so good I bought 2 more for take out for family. It was fast, reasonable and they didn't shove a tip jar in your face. I'll be back.

Some good food!

Why have Panda Express when Sarku exists!!! It's literally so good! The food fills me up, it tastes AMAZING, and it's such a good amount for the price!! The point system they have is also great! I come here all the time with my partner and WE LOVE IT!! Thank you Sarku employees for doing a great job! Please make more locations!!!

One of my former coworkers ordered from here frequently. It always smelled and looked good. I've now ordered from here a few times. I think you get a lot of food for a reasonable price. The meat is always delicious. The rice is pretty tasty, too. Wontons are yummy. Sushi is good. The steamed vegetables aren't great. In my opinion, they're similar to a moist lettuce/cabbage salad. Often they're busy. So, it takes awhile to get food. Service is acceptable. I need to try some other options. I always get teriyaki chicken.

Decent japanese theme fast food, easily and efficiently at the mall. In its category, quite good; tasty food, and no complaints at all about service. The steak bento box was generous enough to share a bit, although the meat was prepared a bit less crispy to my taste. All in all, good option.

Chicken Teryaki

The service was great, food is extremely well priced. One plate has me stuffed for the rest of the day. It is made fresh to order. A fantastic competitor to panda express. It would be amazing if this place got its own building, the ambiance would be so good.

Your classic mall offering that was too salty but hey, it was under $10. Took 5 minutes to prepare but unfortunately they hadn't prepared any bento boxes even an hour after opening. The bento box included vegetables, dumplings, 4-piece California roll, and a choice protein. None of the rolls were available and we didn't want to wait for 35 minutes. =ORDERED= *Chicken Dumplings: classic pan fried version with no sauce. Strangely didn't come with soy sauce, ponzu, or vinegar. A bit dry and the skin was thick but it was a decent appetizer. *Chicken Plate: came with vegetables and rice. The cheapest protein but the tastiest. Mild teriyaki sauce with steamed vegetables on top of a huge bed of rice. Very filling and the chicken was relatively tender. *Beef and Shrimp: came with vegetables and rice. The most expensive protein combo but was extremely salty. The beef was chopped too finely and came with a salty sauce that made it inedible. Shrimp was soft and small. Not worth the upgrade as the flavors were intolerable. Not bad if you stick to the chicken options but I wouldn't order anything besides those.

Love this place whether it be enjoying in the mall or at home through ordering through Doordash. You can always count on a great plate and it's fairly quick even if they are cooking it fresh. Always enjoy watching it be made as well. Definitely a great place to eat while shopping in the mall or even ordering to delivered at home.

Teriyaki Chicken and shrimps over rice

I know, I'm reviewing a mall food court restaurant/stall. Here is why, I ordered on DoorDash and had no idea this place was in a food court as I ordered online looking up teriyaki. I ordered teriyaki chicken and shrimps with white rice, got the hubby teriyaki noodles with chicken and shrimps. Lemme just say this...the food was fresh and awesome! Rice was cooked perfectly, he loved his noodles! The packaging is amazing as well as the utensils supplied in a pocket bag with plum sauce as well as teriyaki sauce, one supplied for each meal along with napkins in there. The teriyaki sauce was great, not too sweet. The side veggies were so fresh! They give you extra teriyaki as well. Only reason for 4 stars has nothing to do with the fact this is in a mall, I just prefer white chicken meat and this is thigh meat. Otherwise, amazing. I still ate it all.

Sarku has re-opened with smart solutions to eating their hot grilled meals. Masked workers, sanitizer for guests, cleaning everything after each interaction, spaced dining area tables and masks required for the mall food court. I love the teriyaki chicken meal, still my favorite with veggies. Good prices still on their core meals and use the frequent meal card to get a free meal. The staff is fast and efficient. Even with the rancor of frustration that seems to pervade the public in our current crisis mode, the staff seems to handle things kind and quick. It's good to see the eating establishments making smart moves to re-open while maintaining good quality food and following local, state and federal health guidelines. A job well done. I will be back.

Sarku Japan

I have never had less than great food here...until today. I asked for a little bit more sauce over my plate, and the employee said, "It's going to be too much!" as he slopped 3X the amount of sauce I've EVER had all over the foam takeout plate. His demeanor was rude and uncalled for, and he was absolutely right...he DID put way too much on, just as he intended. Every bit of food is SWIMMING in sauce, and that's what didn't slop out into the bag. I had to clean sauce off of the foam plate before I could even try to eat it. I'm eating this food because I paid for it, but it tastes like straight sauce and nothing else. I am EXTREMELY unhappy with the service and I don't ever want to go back if that man is working.

Sloppy food presentation, start eating and it's sour cabbage. Ugh They limit drink refills too. Goodbye. Customer no more.

Mediocre at best. Paid $19.00 for two meals and no drinks. There was nothing special about this place. I'd have preferred Panda Express.

I've had my fair share of ramen, but nothing comes close to what I experienced here. From the moment I stepped in, the rich aroma of simmering broth and fresh ingredients set the stage for an unforgettable meal. I ordered their signature tonkotsu ramen, and I can confidently say it was the best bowl of ramen I've ever had. The broth was unbelievably creamy, packed with umami, and had that perfect depth of flavor that can only come from hours of slow simmering. Every sip felt like pure comfort. The noodles? Absolute perfection--cooked to the ideal firmness. They soaked up the broth beautifully without getting soggy. And the toppings--perfectly seasoned ajitama egg, crisp green onions, and a hint of black garlic oil--elevated the dish even further. Beyond the food, the atmosphere was welcoming, and the service was top-notch. The staff was knowledgeable and passionate about their ramen, making the experience even better. If you're in the area and haven't been to Ramen Nation yet, you're seriously missing out. This place isn't just serving ramen--it's crafting an experience. 11/10, will be dreaming about this bowl until my next visit!

First time eating here. I got the teriyaki chicken. I'm giving it a 3/5 star, mostly due to the…read moreservice rendered. The food was actually decent though. The teriyaki chicken tasted more like an Asian dish than a Hawaiian dish. But the chicken and rice were good and the teriyaki sauce was good too. My gripe is about two things: 1. Asking for extra sauce 2. Odd service When I received my order, I asked for extra teriyaki sauce and the lady looked and responded to me a bit rudely. Almost felt like me asking for 1 extra teriyaki sauce packet was going to bankrupt their business lol. That's weird and honestly puts a weird vibe on the experience here. The odd service comes from them packing up my order "to go". I never asked for it to go. They never asked me if I was taking it to go. They just packed it up to go. So I began wondering why and then started noticing things. I started watching other customers come in and order. Well, just like it seems like every food spot asks for a "tip" nowadays, I noticed that the customers who chose to tip them (for who knows why ‍) received their orders on a plate to eat in the restaurant. I noticed two other customers who chose "no tip" received their orders in "to go" bags. When I payed for my order, I also chose not to pay a tip because there's simply no reason to pay a tip for pick up places like this. And I also received a "to go" bag. Maybe this is all in my head or just coincidence, but it would be weird to see this happening to everyone who chooses to tip or not to tip, during the 15-20min eating time I had there. So due to these weird things, that's why I chose 3/5 stars. I've never seen another business question a customer asking for more sauce not ever seen them take customers not tipping and personal vendetta's. ‍

After reading a couple of the reviews back then, we weren't very enthusiastic about trying it, but the reviews seemed better so we gave it a shot and it was a good experience. We ordered crab rangoons, chicken dumplings, veggie spring rolls and two seafood ramen bowls with miso broth (after we confirmed that the broth has no pork at all). My husband picked up the order within about 20-25 minutes of ordering. The bill was about $45. Everything tasted good. All three appetizers were in a paper bag together and the sauces were on the side. Favorites in order would be: chicken dumpling is the best, then the crab Rangoon then the spring rolls. The ramen bowls had very good flavor. The miso broth worked really well with the seafood and the toppings and wasn't thin or watery. The seafood mix was imitation crab, shrimps, and muscles and we found a seasoned egg hiding in the broth which was a nice "free" surprise. The toppings were bamboo shoots, corn, green onions and bean sprouts as well as sesame seeds. All in all, a good restaurant with a solid 4 star take out experience. We will be retuning when we want a quick ramen fix in the area. Next time, we will try the spicy beef ramen with miso broth.
