On a work trip to Gilbert, I was craving some hibachi. Luckily the hotel I was staying at had this place as a recommendation. Here's my summary: -Large portions with lots of rice - Too salty -Located in large shopping complex - they offer hibachi, sushi, fried rice/noodles; good variety - Sadly I have to deduct 1.5 stars because I don't like being misled! I googled them and found their website. That is how I made my order. ***Price quoted was $3 more than price on website! When I asked about the lady was a bit rude and said they updated their prices. Well obviously didn't update it online. Flew in late so just decided to go ahead and place order rather than search for another place to eat at after my flight

We were craving Hibachi but we wanted to stay in for the night. While on UberEats, we stumbled upon L&L Hibachi. After reading multiple great reviews on Yelp, we decided to give it a chance. The food came quickly and was piping hot upon arrival. We were really impressed with our dishes. We ordered Crab Rangoon, 3 orders of Onion Soup, 1 Miso Soup, and 3 Hibachi Dinners (Steak & Chicken, Steak & Shrimp & Salmon). The Crab Rangoon was great. Both soups were still very hot and they were delicious. They could have used a touch more salt but that was easy to fix. The Hibachi Dinners were really good. The fried rice was a bit bland but the meat was flavorful and tender. I personally loved my Steak & Shrimp and everyone else loved their meals. I was pleasantly surprised and would definitely order from L&L again.

The food is delicious! I had the steak and shrimp hibachi plate and it was extremely filling. The veggies are cooked to perfection.

Best sushi!! Small sushi menu but super fresh and delicious. We get the Las Vegas Roll, California Roll and gyoza. Great flavors, super friendly service. Love their spicy Kani salad too. Highly recommend!

I really don't know where all the decent reviews are coming from for this place... just ordered 3 meals for myself and some co workers and every single one had ZERO flavor! They all looked dry and just bland. I wish I could get my money back so desperately. None of us could even finish our meals, I had a bit of rice cause rice is rice but after one bite of my co workers meals they were done and just in shock on how you could even get food to be this flavorless. 0 stars if I could, this place has to got to be replaced by something good.

The restaurant is fairly large, and seems like a lot of people like coming here for family/friend dinners. Like the name insists, the teppanyaki is the way to go. Their menu isn't that large, so it was pretty easy to make a decision. I opted for the filet mignon (rare) along with shrimp. Teppanyaki is really more of a show/experience, so the food comes out to you in sections (versus all at once like at a traditional restaurant). The filet was so soft, and was perfectly rare, and the shrimp was so good. I think in the future I'd eat a whole plate of shrimp. I also got to try the yakiniku, and that was also pretty good but very sweet. Their Boo Yah Ka roll was also pretty yummy. It's essentially a spring roll, but with some spice and citrus to it. I felt that the portion was good for a large meal, but my friend who got the chef's combo definitely had enough for leftovers.

We arrived a little early, so they told us we could sit at the bar & have a drink. We sat there for 15+ minutes & the girl getting things ready for the bar totally ignored us. Right before we were seated someone else took our drink order & said she'd bring them to the table. Hubby got a beer & I got a Tito's & cranberry juice. We ordered an appetizer. While we were waiting they sat another 4 with us. We all expected dinner & a "show", but none of us expected the show we got. One of the staff started screaming at another staff member. We had no idea what the female staff member was saying since her words were not in English. She was so loud & screaming in the bar area so the entire restaurant could hear her. A couple of staff members tried to claim her dow. This went on for several minutes. It was crazy. All us customers were silent & just looking at the girl screaming & yelling. The next thing we know, round two. It was unbelievable. What was even crazier was they didn't send the staff member home! No one came over & said a word. No one apologized or said anything. After all of this, they sat couple with us. Finally the chef came to the table. By this time it was 20 til 6:00. Hubby got the filet with fried rice. I got the shrimp with fried rice. The food was good. However, hubby's steak was over cooked. Thankfully, hubby told the chef he wanted to change the steak from medium to medium rare, or it would have been even more over cooked. I also watch all of the employees but one prepping the food without gloves. This used to be our go to place for, but now with all this issues this time, we will probably have to find a new place.

I suggest going somewhere else that is actually worth the time and money. We arrived there on time but they weren't ready for us yet. It took over 30 minutes for us to get a chef to our table and cook. We sat at the table hungry. The quality of food was not worth the prices. We ordered the steak ($50, definitely not worth it) and they did not cook it right. It was overdone. We also ordered salmon. I couldn't believe my eyes... the salmon ($38, not worth it) they had brought to our table was still half frozen! I had mentioned this at the table. I was ignored. I had to ask many times for different things from the chef due to the food not being good. I should have not ate it and just said something at the time but the waiter was in a bad mood and the chef wasn't the friendliest. The workers seemed tired and wanting to be there to do the job. I'd rather stay silent because I know how it can be working at a restaurant that has been busy. Our service... the waiter wasn't patient and had an attitude from the very beginning. I looked over at my friends and we kind of went silent. The performance at the hibachi lacked. I know the chef was probably worn out but our reservation was at 5 pm. Not late at all. We were super let down because the restaurant itself was beautiful but so many bad things happened. The only thing I liked from the restaurant was the happy hour they had a few nice drinks. That's it. The place is not accessible. there are places you have to step up, watch wear you step, it has a lot of declines and inclines. Not a lot of accessible parking. The entrance is so far away from most of the parking. Not enough room at tables for wheelchairs or scooters. It was super loud, very smoky and irritated not only my eyes my almost everyone at our table and other tables.

We came on a weekday afternoon, so it wasn't busy when we arrived. We got seated within the 10 minutes since they were setting up the tables for us. Ordering is fairly easy since they offer combos depending which meats you like more. Everything we ordered was good quality. My favorite meat cuts were the beef tongue, brisket and the intestines. If you're not into eating inside parts of animals, I would recommend getting the brisket or kalbi cuts. The Banchan (sides) were good too. They had fish cake, kimchi, pickled radish and cucumbers available. We also tried the tofu soup, steamed egg and corn cheese which all came out hot and tasted flavorful. This spot is a-la-carte, so you order off the menu and pay by items. My only downside is that they didn't have rice paper here since I don't really eat the white rice since it fills me up too quickly. Other than that, I would come back here again next time I'm visiting family. Service here was awesome too! We were checked on throughout our whole meal and the servers were friendly.

I called the restaurant to see if there was any chance they could bring my order out to the car, and they didn't hesitate for a second. They were so kind and told me that as soon as my food was ready, they'd bring it right out to me--and they did! It's those small acts of kindness that leave a lasting impression. Going above and beyond for a busy mom in 100+ degree weather might seem like a little thing, but it made my day so much easier. As for the food... the Hibachi Chicken burrito was SO good! My husband and I chose Benihana in Chandler to celebrate his birthday, and what should have been a special evening ended with us walking out after over an hour without receiving a single drink or any food. We had an 8:00 PM reservation and arrived about five minutes early. Despite there being virtually no one at the host stand, we weren't acknowledged for over seven minutes. Once we were finally greeted, we were told to wait "just a few minutes." That turned into another 10 minutes before we were seated. We intentionally chose seats in the middle of the hibachi table because we wanted to enjoy the chef's performance. Once seated, our server promptly took both our drink and dinner orders since we were already behind due to the delays. We thought things were finally moving in the right direction. Unfortunately, they weren't. About 35 minutes after we were seated, a host came over and asked us to move so another family could sit together. We reluctantly agreed, even though it was inconvenient. When I asked our server when the chef would begin cooking, she explained that we had to wait for the newly seated party to order. That is completely unacceptable. We made a reservation, arrived early, ordered immediately, and yet we were expected to sit there indefinitely because another party arrived later and hadn't even placed their order yet. Why should our experience be delayed because of someone else's schedule? To make matters worse, the children at the table were incredibly disruptive and disrespectful throughout the entire wait. When we politely mentioned it to the parents, the response we received was, "They're kids, let them do what they want." There was no consideration for anyone else trying to enjoy their meal or celebrate a special occasion. Staff never stepped in to address the situation. After waiting over an hour from our reservation time, we still had not received our drinks, no chef had started cooking, and no food had been served. At that point, we had enough. We got up and left. This wasn't just a disappointing dinner. It completely ruined my husband's birthday celebration. We chose Benihana because we expected a fun, memorable experience, and instead we left frustrated, hungry, and feeling like our time and special occasion meant nothing. This level of service is unacceptable, especially for a restaurant that requires reservations and markets itself as an experience. A reservation should actually mean something. I expect someone from management or the General Manager to contact me directly regarding this experience. An apology alone will not make up for a birthday celebration that cannot be recreated. Benihana needs to take responsibility for how poorly this entire evening was handled and explain what will be done to ensure other guests celebrating special occasions are not treated the same way.

We'd already fallen in love with their Gilbert spot on a previous date night, but this time around? We had a baby in tow. Needless to say, we weren't entirely sure what to expect. Turns out, we had nothing to worry about. We were seated quickly and greeted so warmly. Even though the only available seating was at the sushi bar, the hostess didn't blink an eye--she immediately offered a high chair, and it fit perfectly right next to us (zero complaints from me!). Our waiter was incredibly friendly, walked us through the menu beautifully, and clued us in on the big differentiator for this location: their grill. Naturally, we had to test it out. We ordered the A5 Wagyu skewers, and oh my god, they literally melted in our mouths. As for the sushi, it came out fast, and the cuts were incredibly generous. The absolute star of the show was the toro--pure, buttery bliss that dissolved instantly. We also grabbed a sashimi sampler and a few other pieces; everything was flawlessly fresh. Even the side salad was on point and--bless them--not totally drenched in dressing. The only minor skip for me was the oysters, which weren't quite my favorite, but everything else easily made up for it. If you want top-tier, melt-in-your-mouth sushi and killer grill items, this spot is a must. We will absolutely be back!
