Despite the price point, I knew I had to go for it because sea bass is hard to find around here. This set came with rice, house salad, miso soup, and cold tofu. The sides were pretty standard -- no compliments, but no complaints either. On the other hand, the sea bass was wonderful. Super creamy and soft, with a strong miso sweetness that packed so much umami upon each bite. I would definitely splurge on this set just for the sea bass. My friend got the ramen and didn't love it, so I'll probably avoid that during future visits. The katsu curry that the table next to us ordered looked and smelled amazing. Overall, food was delicious and homey. I'd definitely recommend!

The katsu was delicious, and the sashimi was super fresh. The combo also came with the cutest little side dishes, really adorable presentation overall. The staff was also incredibly attentive about my friend's allergies (dairy and nuts). They kept checking in with us and even showed us the sauce ingredients to make sure everything was safe. Then once you submit an order you have a 5 minute limit before you can order your next batch of items. The time limit and wait times between orders were reasonable, we all left super full with time to spare. My two toddlers ate for free, I do not recall the cutoff age, but they are 1 and 3 if that gives some perspective. The food was excellent and the service matched. Our server David was very attentive, checking on us multiple times to clear plates and see if we needed anything. The table space has limited space due to the grill in the middle, but he was on top of making sure we were comfortable and taken care of. Must order # 6 Saewoo Tuigim Udong (Shrimp tempura Udon) and #10 Hoi Dup (Chirashi). I looooveeee this place. While it's not a stand alone restaurant that is atmospheric by any means the food, flavor, large portions, service, and friendliness of the couple that own this food stall make eating here completely worth it.
