The pizza and chicken are great! The sides leave a lot to be desired, especially the mashed potatoes and gravy. Got them recently and the mashed potatoes tasted like powdered box potato flakes that were reconstituted with way too much water. They flowed out of the container and there was no texture when I put them in my mouth. The gravy was awful and had a chemical taste to it. I would never get those again. read more

We ordered online from the Warren 14 & Hayes location, which stated our order would be ready in 20-25 minutes. 43 minutes later it was ready even though we received a text 30 minutes after ordering saying it was ready. This is located at a gas station off of Woodward Ave. it's just a short ride from my house. It's located at the Shell station. I ordered the eight piece chicken tenders with the barbecue sauce and the sweet and spicy sauce. Also ordered a Caesar salad with grilled chicken on it and a Greek salad with grilled chicken as well. The order total was $40.23. The order would take about 20 to 25 minutes to be ready. $41.28 with a honey biscuit. The veggie pizza was decent. Crust was nicely cooked and slightly crunchy. The dough wasn't as chewy as I would have liked though. The honey biscuit looked better than it tasted. You could taste the honey but it was bone dry. The Greek salad wasn't bad, as was the Caesar. The grilled chicken meat was okay. The Caesar salad was from their Wixom location. Hmm. The Greek dressing wasn't bad, a bit more would have been nice, as it didn't cover enough of the greens for me. This place is great! Huge NY style pizza slices and extra crispy chicken. Easy to pop in to buy a slice (limited I believe to cheese or pepperoni) or call in an order for pickup. It's in a gas station but around here it's where all the good food is (like mr. kabob another gas station favorite). We've ordered a large pepperoni pizza and the same plus chicken pieces on two different occasions. We've also popped in for a few slices to take home while on the go. All in all great flavor, generous cheese and excellent sauce to dough ratio. The chicken is crispy and well seasoned (no hot spiciness to it like Gus's fried chicken, which is good but not a great option for the kiddos). The biscuits were really good too. My only gripe is that everything is a tad on the salty side. This makes it taste delicious, but if you're sensitive to salt or watching your intake then I would skip Saroki's. But definitely check it out for the super large NY style pizza slices on the go or order ahead for your favorite toppings. read more

I was passing by this spot and decided to give it a try. First off it's located inside of a really nice well stocked grocery / liquor/ gas station! Really really nice place. I placed my order online and waited. The food was prepared fresh even though they had options that were premade and ready to go. This time I chose fried chicken, and a club sub sandwich. The also had salads, pizza options and a variety of side items. My only gripe is it took longer than I expected, but that's on me not the establishment. So I was on Facebook scrolling, and I came across an ad to get a large pizza with one topping. I believe it was $9.99. So I was like, I am open to this. I drove and realized it was in the middle of a Party store /wine shop/ gas station. But don't let that scare you away. I got there before it was ready and found a nice bottle of wine. I got my pizza, which was a little doughier than I preferred. I generally prefer a thinner-style crust. I thought the sauce had a nice flavor, and the pepperoni was flavorful. I found out they sell a New York-style pizza, so I will have to come back and try that. I have to point out they have a pretty impressive menu with Chicken, Salads, and fish. read more

I won a $10 gift certificate to Saroki's a while back and it was expiring tomorrow, so I wanted to use it this weekend. They are a bit pricey, but their food is good. I got the "Shrooms" pizza, which has a few different types of mushrooms on it, as well as tomato sauce and truffle oil, and spinach. They did use "real" mushrooms instead of canned, and you could taste the difference, which was great. It's $11 for a small, which probably could feed 1-2 people (6 slices). It was okay but I've had better mushroom pizza. The standout in my order was for sure the pepperoni sticks, which were deliciously greasy and came with a marinara dipping sauce (not that it needed it!). For $9 I would definitely order these again, and I had a ton of leftovers. During these pandemic times, Saroki's is offering curbside pickup, which was appreciated since it's inside a gas station. They have these delicious jo Jo's(read potatoes wedges) that my wife and I enjoy a lot. Their breaded chicken has a nice spice kick to it, not too much but just right. Excellent chicken!! I was looking for a new chicken place and found Saroki's....skeptical at first since they are at the gas station and must say they did not disappoint!! I had the chicken meal with potato wedges that had the perfect amount of seasoning and the chicken was made to perfection!! This is probably the best chicken I've had, the only downside is that runs a little expensive. I inhaled everything it was delicious- Next time Im planning to try the pizza and the calzones. Wow, I am so very disappointed to say the least. First time getting food here, it was a carry out. I work only 5 mins away from here. When I got to my desk my chicken sandwich was COLD like not even a little cold it was COLD like it had been sitting around for a while. Also the chicken sandwich is two chicken tenders on a bun. The other meals were really hot which is weird. I just have bad luck. I also ordered mashed potatoes for my side and I got fries instead. Very disorganized if you can't get a simple to go order correct. Holy Saroki's signature saucy fries, these things are something else. The sweet and slightly spicy sauce give them great flavor and they're loaded I mean loaded, with cheese big chunks of breaded chicken and bacon $8.99 and definitely a meal in themselves. Well worth it and I really liked them. And the pizza is pretty good for a gas station, I think the crust is where it shines, and it definitely has a good crispy crunch. I went with the butcher's block (all meat) pepperoni, Italian sausage, ham and bacon. I loved the big chunks of sausage and they use the grease cup pepperoni cut nice and thick, all in all a pretty solid Pizza. I was actually pretty surprised with the food coming out of the gas station I'm going to have to go back and try some more of their stuff. They have all kinds of items on their menu, from fried Chicken to calzones, salads, chicken wings, and the big cookie that was on the counter looked pretty awesome too. Definitely found another place that I'm going to have to put on my pizza rotation as well as stopping in to try the chicken. Yes. Four stars. I'm pleasantly surprised. I chose the veggie Stromboli which was already prepared as opposed to the Italian Stromboli which is cooked to order. So good and the perfect portion size. It was $4 compared to the made to order ones which are $10. What is the size of those?? I also had to have the Cajun chicken tenders. They are very good. How is it possible that they taste freshly cooked when they are sitting in the case waiting for you to order them? And the blueberry biscuit is great also. When I I called in the order, the guy who answered the phone didn't exactly instill a lot of confidence, but my wife said the folks she interacted with when she picked it up couldn't have been nicer. I was really looking forward to trying the food here since the reviews were so good and I was so disappointed. We ordered a small pepperoni pizza and wing dinner for delivery. I asked them to knock and leave for no-contact delivery but never got the knock. Not sure how long the food was there but the pizza was cold... and had sausage on it which I am not a fan of so... we switched orders and I went in for the chicken. It was tied up in a black plastic bag, and as soon as I opened the bag a dead fly fell out. Disgusting! THEN I slid the white paper bag containing the wing dinner out and there was ANOTHER DEAD FLY!!
