Just ordered a pizza off DoorDash however and they 1) undercooked the dough 2) used the wrong kind of pepperonis on the pizza and 3) gave us blue cheese instead of ranch. Bad customer service. I called to order curbside pickup (thee website and google my business say is available. Was told, "order online so we don't have to take payment by phone", so I did. This is my super fav place- my soul food place. The cajun thin crust or the butter thin crust- with veggies or chicken or just plain cheese-- you cannot go wrong! Their pizza is my happy place. If you like spicy and you haven't tried it, just try it once. horrible online ordering service. this is the only pizza deliver I like wings at and the only reason I ordered from them tonight and they messed up my wings order. they were not polite, apologetic, compassionate, nor offered any refund or compensation. this hungry howies location has been my saving grace ever since the 10 mile and coolidge location started to suck. the pizzas are always fresh and hot, and they've never messed up an order. i'm not sure on the service since i haven't been in but i can definitely speak for their pizzas when i say this is the best location around. they always have deals as well! make sure you check online as they always have a list of at least 10+ specials that you can get. also, don't forget to sign up for the rewards program so you can eventually earn a free pie! read more

Typically I try to stay away from reviewing chains....they are what they are....typically average so I only Yelp about really good chains or really bad ones. In this case, pretty darn good. I don't know why or how but this location has better pie than any other Howies I have been to. (i.e. Rochester, Troy, etc.) Makes no sense at all considering it should all be the same but believe me, this one is really good. The square is really good too. My kids love the cinnamon stix. The manager is really cool. Thursday nights are freakishly busy so expect 25 min for carryout. Parking can get sketchy during peak times but you can always park on the side street. And PLEASE, if you decide to check it out, enter from the side street NOT 12 MILE. That is the EXIT and the people trying to split with their food can't see you coming to kill them. The offenders tend to be bitchy soccer moms with minivans who just "can't be bothered". read more

My husband and I have been going to this location for at least 3 years and used to love it. Not sure what happened but in the last two months or so the service has been TERRIBLE!! So much so that my husband never wants to do business with them again. From getting our order wrong, to putting the wrong pizza in our box to not cutting our slices, we have been extremely disappointed and annoyed. The last two times, we have ordered on a Sunday, we have had issues (the name on today's receipt is hunter b.). Not sure where in the process mistakes were made but perhaps additional training is necessary. Best gluten free pizza I have had so far! (I am usually a gluten free dominoes fan). The outer crust actually got perfectly crunchy. Cheese can usually make or break the pizza - their cheese is GREAT.
