I placed an order on their website while waiting for coffee next door. The website was easy to use! Tip: leave a note you are in line for coffee as the kitchen exit is near the coffee line and they will call out your name in that area. It had a little too much sauce on it for me so I would ask for light sauce next time or none. Otherwise, I really enjoyed it! I got my toddler a plain biscuit with jelly. He enjoyed that as well. It was very filling for the size. The bacon was crispy, good portion of garlic aioli sauce & egg, biscuit was fluffy & delicious. My fiancé got the B&G (also $7) which came with a large portion of gravy to pour over the biscuit as you see fit. Gravy was savory and peppered well. What an amazing little shop! The biscuits remind me of my mom's biscuits - super fluffy, slightly sweet. You can choose to get your biscuits as a sandwich or as biscuits & gravy but my favorite option was just the simple biscuit with jam and honey butter. If they have the blueberry/rhubard jam you definitely need to give that one a try. The strawberry is good, too but the blueberry is (in my opinion) the best option. You don't see too many biscuit-centric restaurants in the North, so we had to check this place out. It faces Main Street, with Five and Hoek coffee shop attached to the back and opening onto the alleyway. The menu is indeed all biscuits; you can get them with jam, honey, gravy, or as sandwiches. I got mine with sausage gravy and roasted peppers and onions, a delicious combo. The gravy was served on the side, actually a good idea so I could dole out the amount I wanted and everything didn't get gummy. My boyfriend got the bacon, egg and cheese biscuit sandwich. He said the egg was a bit overcooked but the slightly spicy pepper jack cheese was good (you could also get white cheddar) and it also had a very garlicky aioli. We both liked the biscuits themselves: flaky but not crumbly, not dense or stodgy. Overall, a good spot for breakfast if you like biscuits! They're open from 7 til sellout, and at about 8 am the place was hopping on a Sunday, so the secret is out. read more

We tried Sassy Biscuits this morning, and the place was jam packed! Considering how busy it was, the staff was friendly and informative about the menu and expected wait time. The biscuits were really good. I particularly liked the hot honey whip on my bacon and egg biscuit. Plus 5&H coffee is just so good, it amplifies the whole experience. Admittedly, it's hard to really get the full experience when they are as slammed as they were this morning. Seating is my number one complaint as there just isn't enough to accommodate more than about 30 people (on the high end), but the food is good and the buzz of a place that people wanted to be was refreshing. I'd recommend avoiding the Saturday morning rush and getting something on a weekday before heading to the office or running errands. The place just fills up so fast and seating is going to be a problem for more than two people at any of the peak breakfast times. By summertime, it'll be awesome to get take out and sit outside, but during winter the lack of space is a bit of a complication. All in all, the food is good and I feel it is worth the wait, but don't be too tied to finding a seat at breakfast - you may have to opt for getting it to go on the weekend. read more

Day two of Grand Opening and everything was great! I interacted with three members of the staff and they were all very welcoming. The service was friendly, quick and very helpful in terms of menu recommendations and suggestions! I was greeted warmly as I walked in, and waited a very reasonable (short) time for my order to be ready. I was pleased to be off again in far less time than I might have expected given their Grand Opening status. I did however go early, planning for extra time. I took my food to-go and made it to work in plenty of time. My breakfast traveled safely with me and was absolutely delicious! Upon arriving to work, I found the portions to be generous, and the biscuit sandwich was delicious!
