I had an appointment and had to wait 30 minutes bc my technician was working with another client (this happened 3 weeks ago when I also had an appointment and I had to wait 1 hour). Miss Helen took care of me for my wedding nails and I have been hooked on her ever since. She really takes her time, ensure there's no annoying rough or jagged spots that may get caught as your nails grow out between fills, and is always very friendly. My bridesmaids came with me for pre-wedding pampering and everyone had an excellent time. There was nothing but praise for the cleanliness, quality of work, and friendliness of the technicians assisting us that day. I've been in many times since Sassy Nails first opened and have never walked away disappointed. Highly recommend their liquid gel nails and gel polish for manicures. I can go up to four weeks between fills (not recommend to wait that long, but life happens) and I never experience an issue. Strong nails, great polish wear, no chipping, and lots of compliments on the daily. Add great prices and an awesome atmosphere on top of that and you won't find a better nail salon. read more

I had to come back and update my first review. After trying and failing miserably at visiting other places (I'm curious, gotta check them all out), I learned my lesson: stick with what works. Sassy works. After a year cold turkey on doing my own gel at home to save money, I desperately wanted tips and some pampering. I tried another place highly rated nearby and was so upset at the hack job they did to my nails (Zen, if you'd like to go check the pics I left on my review) I got right into my car and drove here. They definitely redecorated and it's gorgeous, and there were some new faces i didn't recognize. After explaining my dilemma, and getting some gasps from other patrons checking out my terrible acrylics, I was told it was going to be painstaking and painful to get that fresh acrylic off, but they'd strip it and start over. 2.5 hours later I am sore and my nail beds hurt, but hot DAMN do my nails look good. They salvaged a train wreck and were so sweet and diligent to get it right and help turn my day around. The hot pink in my pics is the after, the light pink is the before as an FYI. Glad I came "home" to Sassy. The service was amazing and I'm very pleased. read more

Decided to try somewhere new. I needed a pedicure. I booked an appointment for 11:30. When I got there they told me to sit in one of the spa seats. I was waiting for 10 mins when I realized no one was going to take me anytime soon. All the nails tech were busy with no signs of finishing. I was really upset. Don't book if you don't have people available. They proceeded to tell me to wait a few minutes more. I knew a few minutes meant another 20 or 15 just by looking around at their current clients. I've lived in Manassas for almost a year and have finally decided to try and find and new nail salon since I don't care for my old place in Centreville anymore. I asked my friend who has lived here longer and instantly recommended Sassy Nails. I'm really glad she did! All the people who worked there were really friendly. As soon as I walked in I was greeted and asked what I needed. For me today was a bit of a "work load day" because I needed a gel manicure, pedicure, and eyebrow wax. It was no problem for them and they told me to pick my color and someone would be ready for me. Now here's the deal. I'm getting married tomorrow so I had a specific color in mind which they didn't have in the gel formula. I have a weird thing where my nails and my toes have to be the same color and I only use OPI. Instead of just leaving it at that, one of the the technicians tried to help me find a color that was close. Amazing! When I decided to use my backup color choice instead the same technician asked for the color code so they could try to order it and have it for next time. Double awesome! Lina (the owner) ended up being my technician for the whole shebang. She was very nice but not over talkative. She didn't try to up sell me anything which is nice because most other places will try to get you to get a higher priced service. She did little massages for both the pedicure and manicure with the paraffin wax which I like. The end result cost me only $74 which is cheaper then my old place. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE , HORRIBLE WORKMANSHIP. Just got back from visiting this place. I literally just opened an yelp account to write this. Before i start , let me just tell you THERE IS NO POINT IN MAKING APPOINTMENTS CAUSE I SAW WHAT THEY DO. I got nails done by the owner who had the store phone next to her the whole time and answered on speaker. She would ask them what time and what they want done but she did not write down anything or told anyone. And i saw two customer who called who i recognized because i heart the convo , they came in and she didnt even remember. Calling for appointment is not worth your time because they're not booking you appointment. They will tell you okay you're booked just so you think you have appointment. You will come and wait anyways. I went to this place to get full acrylic with gel color , they were busy so i had to wait little bit which is completely fine. I get called by this technician and she starts by asking me to show picture of what i want which i did. Few minutes into starting , her phone rings and she is on the phone talking bout some construction at her house. It sounded like it was not a pleasing phone call as she was getting tense and loud. I ignored it thinking its okay. But throughout my whole time there , i had the listen to her unpleasing phone conversation on speaker for at least 4 times , facetime at one point. She is till doing my nails as she speak on the phone. Mind you the conversation on her phone was not positive. I can tell she is not happy about how her construction is going. She is in a bad mood already and just snatching my hands here and there. Throughout all of these i was patient and understanding cause people have life. When she started with gel coloring , i got confused between two colors i wanted to try and confused her too which is my bad. But she got little upset by that and i'm like sorry i was confused , nothing to be mad about tho. I'm not feeling her vibe at this point and just want to get out asap. She puts first layer and i see my nail and theres thick bubbles on one nail and i can tell most of the acrylic nail is slanted or uneven. I ask her to fix it but she is telling its because of the color i chose , because of the nail polish thickness. Its not my first time getting acrylic and im not stupid. I tell her look its literally slanted , see it from behind where there is no polish. She gets upset and tell me to look at it after she removes the gel color . After she removed it's still slanted and at this point im mad because i spend 1 hour at the place already and she taking of the gel coloring in very bad attitude. BECAUSE OF HER FUCKING PHONE CALL , SHE WAS TOO DISTRACTED TO DO MY NAILS PROPERLY. I dont even know why i paid. IF THE OWNER IS SEEING THIS , PLS REFUND MY MONEY. I left the place with uneven slanted , half polished nails. I can't even fully show all the mess ups on photos. Some nails are so thick , some are thin. Some are literally not pressed on nail bed correctly , it shoots up. I attached the reference image i showed her as well. Please go somewhere else. HORRIBLE. read more

My mom and I always make a day to come together and start with pedicures and finish with gel refills so we can leave with everything all dry and polished. the salon is always clean and lots of has nice natural light coming in. All seats where taken and there were 4 other people waiting. I stand by the greeters desk and I don't get greeted at all. A nail tech lady gets up and before I can say anything , she starts helping the next lady who has been waiting. Which is fine , but I thought since I scheduled an appointment, I would have a spot reserved. If this place is only walk ins than they should specify that over the phone. My first visit, I called ahead and made an appointment for 1pm. I arrived on time, only to discover that 3 other ladies were also given 1pm appointments for the same service. I was told the wait would be at least another 30 min, since there were walk-in appointments they had already accepted. Both myself and the other 1pm appointment left. Its literally just a pedicure, so not a huge deal, just disappointed that I had to go somewhere else. Probably won't be going back. read more

Upon first walking in, the salon is super clean and there's a good amount of parking despite being next to Costco. They have plenty of seats and color options. As always, I decided to get a gel manicure. The color looked good and the length is what I wanted. So you're probably wondering why 3 stars.. here's why: about 5 days later, TWO of my gel nails had come off. 5 days... not even a week later. Insane. I came back to get them fixed and the nail tech was nice about fixing it and didn't charge extra. 2 days later... the two nails that were fixed AND an additional nail gel color came off. In case you didn't know, you pay extra for gel to stay on your nails at least 2 weeks. While they were nice and prices were okay, it's inconvenient to have to keep coming back to get it fixed when it should just be done the first time. Very doubtful I'll be back here, but test your luck! Wasn't an awful experience.. just the aftermath isn't great/worth it for me. read more

I love this place! I'm sad that I live over an hour from here, and it sucks that there isn't much great nail shops around me. :( I'm glad I came here though! I got a regular mani-pedi which only cost ($45) but it is so worth it!!! You get a little bit of a massage with your manicures, but the massages for the pedicures are to die for!!! We didn't even pay for extra service, but they give you so much for a regular pedicure! It hardly smells like acetone here either. Everyone is friendly as well. I was here a week ago. Walked in with my mother for a pedicure & my full set. LOVED my pedicure, the man who did it was so gentle with my feet & did an amazing job! The lady who did my nails bothered me a bit with her body language and attitude. However i wasn't the only one to take her attitude in the wrong way, many others felt the same way. I was also asked repeatedly to get gel even after I said no the first 3 times. My nails are still strong & not lifting what so ever! Came here with a girlfriend and asked for a little Mickey design on our toes. The ladies helping us kept giggling and looking over at each others work because the design was not going well. It was super rude and unprofessional. Obviously neither of them had done the design before, and that's ok, but i wish they would had said something before they just giggled the whole time, chatting and then starting over/ giggling together more.
