This location is ran by teenagers and they're unprofessional. The girl up front taking orders is rude and doesn't know how customer service works. If you are going to be the face of your business you should be nice and welcoming. Items on your breakfast menu aren't available even when you have only been open for 30 minutes. This location needs to have better management running their business. No silverware most the time either. Sad because the other location is wonderful! This one needs some work! read more

I actually really love the food here but I find their portions for the price to be on the high side, especially for a self service cafe. I work close by and splurge here for lunch every once in a while and like I said, ALL the food and desserts I have tried are delicious. Just know it aint cheap. And portions are small. A roast beef sandwich has about 2 slices of roast beef and lots of lettuce filler. I also don't find their service to be all that friendly and I've noticed that their comments to any negative review on here are defensive, which in my opinion is not the way to go about business. People are entitled to their opinions the same way you're entitled to run your business the way you see fit. Really like this place, has been a go to but today no one on staff wearing masks. We're in our 70s and high risk. I came in because last time curbside pickup took 35 minutes as they forgot us! If there was a plexiglass partition at the counter then not wearing a mask wouldn't put me in danger and I'd feel safer. Had lunch there yesterday, I had the philly cheese steak and I was amazed how good it was. Hubby had 1/2 sandwich and 1/2 salad. HE could not eat it all and he enjoyed it. The special treat was the tiny red velvet cupcake which left him wanting more. We don't live close so won't travel there very often, but if you live in area, should check it out. Sassy's had quality home style cooked food with a comfortable atmosphere that really made me feel like I was in someone's home and not a business. Over the course of a week I had a Stacker, Slider and the Cinnamon French Toast and enjoyed a snickerdoodle cookie as well. The strawberry at the end of each meal was a nice touch as well. The Philly cheesesteak I had was warm bread was OK but it only came with one strawberry and a very miniature cupcake again it tasted OK but not great and yes I've been to Philadelphia I can tell you what a true Philly cheesesteak should taste like. They were out of soup yet there was only two other couples in the entire restaurant at 11:45 am that day. The cookies are two dollars apiece and tasted about $.75 each. The salted caramel cheesecake was overly sweet and not balanced in flavor. About the only thing you'll get here is a side of regret and disappointment for a $11 dollar sandwich served alacarte. If I could give a negative star I would. Owners are unprofessional and rude. This place is not easy to deal with. Ordered a cake several days ago. I was my husbands birthday and he loves champagne cake. Since we just lost our 27 year old son we wanted to make this day special for him. When I placed the order I specified that we wanted to pick up on Crimson and what is the earliest pick up time. They put me on hold and said 9:00 am. SO we said fine and ordered the cake. Went to pick up the cake and no cake. They never delivered it to store. OK not good but mistakes happen. Their attitude was big deal. Had no remorse. I asked for owners and she gave me the number of the other store. I called their and no one picked up and you couldn't leave a message. How does a place run like that. Called back again and asked for the owner. She would not take my call and had the person who answered the call handle me. She said the owner Jeffery was on his way to deliver it to correct store and would be there is 15 minutes. 25 minutes went by and he never showed up. Called back again and they said he was 2 minutes away. When he got there with cake he would not give it to us. He made us wait for nothing. My daughter asked why his wife wouldn't take our call and he said we were abusive to his staff. Which was totally not true. Yes we were upset but even told them that and we new it wasn't their fault. Plus if he thought we were abusive then why didn't his wife handle that instead of putting that on their staff. Then he said to us I didn't like your facebook post. Ah ha that was what he was upset with. If he would of handled this professionally we would of taken the post down. But he didn't. The post was correct just like this one and all we did was tell the truth. With small business needing our help so bad and we need to support but this one doesn't deserve our support. The most beautiful delicious white champagne cake for a birthday luncheon we just had. They helped us with "naked" cake frosting and light icing in layers. The staff was helpful when we placed the order and the presentation was gorgeous with the sugar violet flowers. Can't say enough good things about this business. read more

Had the philly steak and cheese, hubby had the chicken salad on croissant. The chicken sandwich was okay, the philly steak wasn't. A few slices of steak and very little peppers. It was mostly melted cheese. The steak pieces were sliced paper thin that it was like chewing on paper. They put mayo on the sandwich (?) so basically it was in essence eating mayo and melted cheese sandwich. For a sandwich costing 10.75 they cheat you out of the meat. My wife and I tried this for first time recently and came away a little in disbelief. We never complain about much but this might be the worst breakfast we ever had in a restaurant. First red flag was there is no waitress. You have to go help yourself to any drinks or silverware at some table in the back. You also have to place your order at the front counter and pay ahead of time before they even bring you the food. (Even the tip) When they did bring the food, we both looked at the plates thinking it was either a joke or the wrong order. I swear it was the smallest breakfast burrito on the planet. I've seen bigger kids meals at McDonalds. At that moment I thought we were on Candid Camera. All they gave on the side was one small strawberry. If you wanted anything else like hash browns or even toast you have to pay extra. Considering how pricey it was, you have to wonder how they can get away with this. As for the food itself, it was so generic you would think a 12 year old made it. I like Sassy's! I've been there twice & my hubby once. I enjoyed the Pina Colada French Toast; it's eggy and not sweet, which is appreciated, & with toasted coconut on top. The syrup complementing it is delicious. My iced tea was very good: Gold Peak tea. My husband said his pancakes, which he had in the afternoon, were quite light & fluffy and the buttermilk-caramel syrup superb. I had pancakes this morning & they were tasty but I thought a little heavy. The homemade batter needs to rise a bit more in the a.m. Hubby's right about the syrup! The bacon was good too. They recently did a wedding cake for my Dad & Stepmother. It was simple but beautifully done AND was the best wedding cake I've ever tasted!

A wonderful breakfast place. It's cute and clean. Nice service. Wonderful waffles with lots of whipped cream and strawberries. The cinnamon French toast was to die for with its ooey gooey center and caramel syrup. The stacked was so good with crispy hasbrows tasted great as did the perfectly cooked bacon cheddar quiche. Let's assume the middle tier is a matter of interpretation. S**** was very clear that she wanted enough black marbling that it did not look to be solid gray. We don't feel that that was achieved. Not even remotely. But, again, not quantifiable as we didn't feel we needed to specify the number of black veins, their darkness, or width, in order to make them visible. Moving on, the top tier was to have the inverse filigree of the bottom tier meaning it was to have the same black filigree detail on the silver cake layer. That gradation from black with some silver to silver with black marbling to silver with black filigree was to tie the whole look together. Again, those were Melody's ideas. They were sketched on the paperwork and initialed by S****. It never occurred to me that I would need to take pictures or ask for copies to convince anyone that we didn't get what we paid for. Lesson learned. If those elements were clearly there and it just didn't look the way we had envisioned it, that would be one thing. But that's not the case and it changed the entire look of the cake, especially from any distance. There's obviously nothing that can be done about it now. I was hoping for some sort of an explanation or maybe even an apology but at the very least wanted to give you feedback. Most business owners want to know if a customer is unhappy. I know you said you don't read reviews for your business anymore but potential customers certainly do. I'll let my daughter know of your offer for an anniversary cake. It'll take her a while to get over this so idk. Thank you for your time." They do "100s" and per his admission & can't remember every detail. They also don't keep paperwork. But somehow Melody remembers that ours was accurate? Pretty sure we would remember the exact specs on my daughter's wedding cake better then them at this point. Melody sketched it in detail and my daughter initialed the sketch at final mtg & pymnt. Of course we weren't standing there, paperwork in hand, when they set up the cake during the reception! We expected it to be right! As soon as we saw it at the reception after group pictures & their grand entrance, we all knew it wasn't right but nothing could be done at that point. It altered the entire look of the cake. AND after checking phone logs, yes I did call for Melody 3xs within 9 days of the wedding. And 2xs after that. I don't recall Geoff ever apologizing previous to telling me that he already did. I know he took my call cold but they are more interested in denying responsibility than having any remorse that they disappointed my daughter on what was an important (to her) aspect of her wedding. *Original Review* The bad: The wedding cake delivered for our daughter's October 2020 wedding was not what we had discussed, agreed to, and paid for. There were key design issues and elements missing that were agreed to in writing and paid for prior to the event. The cake was delivered and set up while we were all having pictures done. The staff was gone by the time we saw it. My daughter can't look at pictures of her wedding cake without wanting to cry because the cake looks very different than what Melody herself suggested and my daughter was expecting. The issue is not differences in perception. There are actual missing elements. Elements that were sketched out by Melody and signed off on by my daughter. We didn't get copies of the sketches at our last meeting when we paid our balance. There were 3 of us at this meeting and we all remember it the same way. In the weeks following the wedding I had left 4 messages for Melody to call me back to discuss WHY she failed to deliver what was agreed upon and to give them our feedback. IF she called me back, she did not leave a voicemail. I finally got in touch with her husband, Geoff. He basically said they don't keep any paperwork past a few days and it would just be he said she said at this point. He said they do hundreds of cakes. He implied that any disappointment on my daughter's part was a result of her expectations being out of budget. He said he would talk to Melody and get back to me. He later texted me saying that Melody says she created and delivered the cake as drawn. This is simply not true. Their solution is to give her an Anniversary cake next year or a $29.95 store credit. No admittance of wrong doing, no thanks for your feedback we'll figure out what went wrong and do better next time. This falls a long way short in providing any kind of vindication or closure. Very expensive lesson learned during a once in a lifetime occasion. The good: The cake was on time and set up well. Their cakes are tasty so if you don't care about accuracy in aesthetic you should be good. read more

The food was good, but the service was lacking. All the tables were dirty, people were having to bus tables to sit down. Then I watched as a bus boy came out, grabbed a few dishes and didn't wipe the table, he didn't come back to take care of it either. I wasn't given my full order, I attempted several times before I was actually able to get someone's attention (having a two year old with me I couldn't just leave my child at the table). We ordered a gluten free Birthday cake a year ago that was delicious. This year my husband who has cancer ordered one for my birthday. He was told they weren't sure they could do it because of Halloween. Apparently Halloween is a large enough holiday that cake baking is limited. They agreed to bake one but it had to be picked up on Halloween because they are closed on Sunday --my birthday. My husband picked up a rather plain white cake with blue icing. It tasted dry like it had been sitting for a day or so. You can see from the photo it is so dry that the fork doesn't go through. It was sad that my sweet husband wanted to give me something special and they just didn't care what they sold him. It is also indicative of how every order has a story. And every Baker should be compassionate and caring about what they bake and understand why they are doing it. Someone trusts them to do something special. I baked a cake to replace it using Simple Mills box mix and frosting. My cake was moist and delicious. It also proved that Sassies didn't even bother to bake a fresh cake as ordered. They just gave him something that was sitting around because they were unprepared to do business properly. Never again. read more
