Anthony's in Coeur d'Alene was such a good surprise. We sat out on the patio overlooking the pond which made the whole experience feel super relaxing and scenic. The warm bread and butter to start were amazing, and the ahi poke bites were incredibly fresh and flavorful. I ordered the alder planked salmon over rice -- the salmon portion was huge and cooked perfectly. I just wish there had been a little more rice because the fish was so generous. My husband got the seafood fettuccini Alfredo and it was absolutely packed with seafood and tasted reallllly good. What impressed us too was how fast everything came out. We visited on a busy holiday weekend Friday night and still had quick, attentive service and a delightful server. Definitely a spot we'd come back to when visiting Coeur d'Alene. read more

Absolutely love this place. My daughter told me about it and it was within walking distance from our hotel, which was great. We went on a Monday night and as usual, I made reservations. Our server was Rhonda, personable, came from California, and that's where we live. She explained the menu and she didn't rush us. I had two gin and tonics with Idaho Gin and my husband had 2 Bombay sapphires on the rocks. Oh, with olives. Their house Bread is fantastic. I love the crusty part. I had their halibut special and it came with rice and asparagus, mango salsa, which I love. My husband had black cod and he said it was excellent. We had such a nice time and a beautiful view of the pond. The place is really nice and it was quiet, even though there were quite a few people there. read more

Had a lovely dinner here, while overlooking the cute pond area out back. Not terribly busy when we arrived (we were on the early side for dinner after traveling from the East), but were promptly seated and very well taken care of throughout our meal. The ladies ordered wine, and after placing our main course orders our server brought out a lovely basket filled with warm crusty bread and a rosemary-herbed butter. I started with creamy cup of New England clam chowder which was thick and flavorful. For a main dish I chose the garlic prawns with rice pilaf and asparagus...it was light and the garlicy butter sauce paired well with the rice. Everyone else really enjoyed their dishes as well. For dessert, we all split an order of their burnt cream, basically a creme brulee that went down easy. A surprisingly good seafood meal all the way out here in Idaho...who'd have thought? read more

It was my birthday. We arrived at 9;15pm. We were waiting for a 3rd person. We made sure to tell the host this before he sat us. He did not see a problem. He said to make sure and tell our server it was my birthday. My friend shared that it was my birthday and my first time at the restaurant. She said flippantly happy birthday. It was quite eevident that she was very annoyed. We waited till 9:30pm then ordered our meals. We had had cocktails before ordering. When our meals came the sprinklers right behind where I was seated came on. This was the only ones to come on. I was being directly heavily misted. Also when we asked about the complimentary sourdough bread that comes with the meals. We were told ,"oh it was thrown out at 9:30. ​ The server was beyond rude. It was obvious she wanted us gone. She brought me a messy chunk of cake. No birthday wishes,just stuckk it in front of me. I asked for a go box. She finally brought it but had removed all the utensils and I had to dump it in the box. My friend paid the bill with cash and asked if she had change for a large bill. She was told yes, but they never brought her change back. She had to stop on the way out and ask to for her money. It was a substantial amount of money. As we stood to leave the sprinkler mysteriously shut off. The prices are high,the food not spectacular. The service was awful. If they did not want us there they should not have seated us. It was a lousy place to have a birthday dinner and left nothing but a bad impression on me. I do not recommend this restaurant. There definatly was animosity between the staff that was directed toward us. Yet my friend still left a large tip. If it were up to me I would have left nothing. First of all I am a local that has lived here for 30 years. Anthony's consistent great food and service have made me a regular customer. Their lunch menu of blackened salmon tacos are the best in the area. The fish is cooked perfectly with a wonderful sauce and salsa to kick it up a notch. Today I decided to enjoy a wonderful berry dessert that extremely tasty. I normally skip desserts but I may have to go there again for it. Sooner rather than later. It was a muffin size rich cake with berries in it, then more berries on top with a huge scoop of ice cream. Forget keto - it is worth it. I have dined at Anthony's a few times and is one of the restaurant we hit when in town. The food and service are very good. We came on a Thursday and were able to get a round table (as opposed to a booth). We started with appetizers: coconut shrimp (very good) and Anthony's select oysters (ok-on the smaller side). The clam chowder and hearts of romaine salad (like a wedge salad) were fantastic! Dinner entrees: black cod was a home run! They put one of the orders in wrong and unfortunately his arrived after the table had completed their meal. I don't understand why anybody would provide a negative comment to a location that strives to truly go above and beyond the norm. Unfortunately this was a big miss for us. The server was pleasant and we ordered cocktails and had some of their hot sour dough bread. So far so good. We then ordered a cup of the clam chowder and the tempura green beans. Still good. THEN we ordered 2 wild salmon salads with greens, farro, avocado and hazelnuts (listed in that order on the menu). However NO FARRO. We asked the server and she said it was at the bottom. Uhhhh NO. She then went back to the kitchen and 5 minutes later she said they ran out of farro and provided more hazelnuts. We didn't want more hazelnuts. We wanted the farro listed on the menu. We were nice about it but we all said well that isn't right. They should have told us. I had the tempura prawns. Were they prawns? NO. More like medium size shrimp. We said nothing as it was good but just not what we signed up for or paid for. At the end, We all expected some kind of credit or SOMETHING to compensate a missing ingredient from their very expensive salad ($42). A good restaurant would have comped the green beans or one of the drinks, or something to acknowledge their error. But NO. Nothing. And to top it off the server added her tip to the bill automatically. WHAAAAAT? We had 3 guests. NOT COOL. Bottom line: good food but just not worth the $213 bill. There are many other restaurants in the area that know how to treat their customers and have as good or better food. We will not be back and will let our friends know they don't have to go to this restaurant either! read more

We came in on a 4th of July. We got the Manila clams. They were so good and they was plenty of them. I liked the melted butter they give you. It waiter name Bruce did a spectacular job serving us. He was super nice and very attentive to our needs. We got the fish duet with salmon and halibut with rice and snap peas. It's was really good. We also got the Cobb salad which was really good too. But I noticed there was not any hard boiled egg on it though. I got the homemade cheesecake with was totally delicious. I will definitely try to make it back here again soon. read more

A concert on the lake took us there and we decided to eat at Anthony's. We were so glad we did. I had blackened Rockfish and wife had trout. Both were excellent. Service was very friendly. The patio is beautiful, overlooking the small lake and was the perfect distance to hear the music. read more

I didn't realize this Anthony's was the Coeur d'Alene version of the one at Spokane Falls where I'd eaten last year. The venue is quite large and can accomodate parties of any size. Very convenient to my hotel and a true neighborhood gem. Ryan was our server and did an excellent job providing suggestions and keeping us with food and beverages. My colleague and I started out with the Barron Point oysters on a half shelf which were excellent. I believe we shared 8 since they were a bit pricey at over $4 each. For dinner I had the Smoked Salmon Fettucine while my colleague had the Blue Cheese Salad with Shrimp. The seafood is very fresh and tasty. The portions are generous and neither my colleague or I had any room for dessert. read more

I went there to celebrate my birthday, but unfortunately, I left feeling disappointed. I'm not sure what happened, as I've had good experiences there before. For appetizers, we ordered the crispy coconut prawns, but they were quite dry and tough to eat. No one at our table enjoyed them, so we decided to pass on them. Another person at the table ordered the shrimp cocktail, which is usually their favorite, but it came out with small baby salad shrimp, which was a bit strange. I was really looking forward to getting the salmon since it's a seafood restaurant, but our server informed me that they didn't have salmon at the moment. I ended up ordering the trout instead, which was just okay. Sadly, I didn't get a birthday dessert either nothing like that it was offered. Sad. We didn't see our server very often, and our drinks weren't refilled either. It's such a shame because this used to be one of my favorite places to dine. I hope they can improve, as I would love to come back and have a better experience next time read more

Well, I LOVE that they at least they had one all-you-can-eat crab day this year. However, our 3:30 meal ended at 5:20 and we still weren't satisfied, especially at the higher price. The waiter NOT ONCE came to see how we were (manager did, right after our first round was served) so we spent the whole night flagging him down for another round. All 4 of us agreed it was pretty frustrating but tried to make the best of it. By the 3rd flag we realized to keep eyes on him to wait for him to look as soon as we were half way through so we didn't have to wait 10min between servings. Our last round we ordered at 5 (could have had two more rounds but we were pressed for time at this point) and at 5:20 decide to call it a night since it still hadn't arrived and our server didn't once come to the table (except when we flagged him at 5:15 for our bill just to get that out of the way). Last year the service was outstanding. The server kept our plates and glasses full and we were out in well under 90 minutes. I worked in fine dining as a manager for 10 years so it was a familiar sight to see a server just staring at the kitchen or chit chatting for 5-10 minutes without once scanning his tables. I really do hate waving down a server more than a couple times. Tonight, between the 4 of us, we waved him down no less than 10 times. That is a lot, but not when it is all you can eat with only a small amount allowed at each service. In these instances the server needs to be aware of the plate levels of his tables, and this waiter had more than enough time. He just preferred staring at the kitchen. It takes a lot for me to leave less than 20% but tonight broke a 3 year streak. read more

The wife and I went to this restaurant for our 6 year anniversary. The restaurant is very nice and looks like quote a up town eatery. The staff was friendly and total professionals. They have a stocked menu that varies on the price scale. I ordered a ribeye, taters, and side salad. My only complaint is I wanted medium rare and got medium. My wife's meal was good and tasty bit her steak was undercooked for her tastes. She wanted medium but got medium rare. We thought about complaining but chalked it up to our steaks got switched on the doneness. Moving past that very minor issue. Everything else was on point and worth stopping by again. read more

Honestly who knew that Anthony's not receiving their scallop shipment on time would be a good thing! Oftentimes, I come to popular places early since I'm coming solo and without reservation and this restaurant ended up having a three-course "sunset" dinner menu available before 5:30pm for $30. For an extra $5, I got both a salad and cup of soup as a starter. I still cannot believe I got this quarter crab as part of the $30 deal. The patio is fully covered with heaters and firepit and the way to go. Parking was plentiful although I walked from my hotel. Service was good and respectful while I worked in between courses. Oh yeah, and the creme brulee - YUM. Not sure where all these negative reviews come from, it's too bad how experiences can be soured so quickly but I would happily come back - hopefully the scallops will be available next time :) read more

Save your money. This place is so mediocre. We took our son there (at his request) for his birthday dinner. Every meal came out at a different time. My wife didn't get hers until about 10 minutes after the first plate hit the table. And that would almost make sense if they wanted everything to come out hot and fresh but all of our meals were lukewarm at best. We were a party of 6 that night and it was the worst $500 I've ever spent in what is supposed to be a higher-end restaurant. Spend the extra time and go to the one in Spokane if you can. It's a MUCH better dining experience. And if you can't bring yourself to go that far, then go down the street to any of the other better places. read more
