I never thought I would say that I had good sushi in Lancaster, but it is true. Sato Sushi is pretty good. I had the Chirashi bowl, gyoza, and 2 small sakes (probably why I liked the place). Tried this place based on the reviews but for me its just ok. I wasn't blown away. To me it's just average. What I do like is that they give big portions. But from a nigiri perspective it falls short from a freshness level. You can't go wrong with the rolls here for sure if thats what your into. read more

Waitress was very nice, sushi selection is lacking. My friend and I were going to order the all you can eat until we found out you are very limited to just a few items off the all you can eat menu. We decided to order off the reg menu, I had the combo with chicken teriyaki, 3 pc sushi, and specialty roll. My friend had a few different pieces of the Nigiri-sushi. I've dined at many sushi places and this one is my favorite. Freshness and quality is excellent. Quantity and price is excellent. Service and atmosphere have been wonderful. Even if you have to drive from the east side of the Antelope Valley, it's definitely worth it! West side residents are extremely fortunate to have this gem of a Resturante in their area! read more

Just came in at 3:50pm and the food is good but I have to say the girl that seated us and originally helped us was worthless to put it nicely. She seats us and brings one menu for 3 people, then shows up to take our order while talking on the phone and acts like taking my drink order is a case of the plague. Then she grabs a handful of cash out of the tip jar at the sushi counter and just takes off. I overheard the people next to me complain to the poor server that was left to take over in her aftermath that she never brought part of her order and they are already done eating. There was only 6 people in the whole place so she's not busy. Hire some decent help and we might come back. read more

My favorite place in town. Yes, there are alot "nicer" places to go, but this place is never crowded, great staff, good quality delicious fish! Very cheap! So for sushi lovers on a budget like me! Its perfect. They always have great deals! Creative roll specials, military disc. B'day discounts. And always has that lingering vibe from high school when it was a popular dive bar. (zonies/papas BBQ pit lol). Another thing i love is they have the most delicious chicken bowls with fried rice for the friend that.doesn't eat sushi. Its spicy and delicious! There chicken is awesome! I don't know what it is. Also they have the BEST udon noodle soup! Noodles to die for! Chicken/beef/tempura/gyoza dumpling all delicious! Went on a sat afternoon and the place was not busy. Sat at the sushi bar and met Alex, our sushi chef. We were treated very well by Alex and our waiter and waitress. Hubby had the bento box with tempura and sashimi and he loved it! I had a couple of rolls. The fish was fresh and sushi rolled nicely with just the right amount of rice that doesn't fall apart when picked up. Miso soup is delicious. We loved the food that we ordered a couple of rolls to take home for dinner. All in all our bill before tip was approx 70$. Thanks Alex for taking care of the us. We will be back! read more

We went for sushi tonight we arrived it wasn't busy which was great got seated and drinks within 5 minutes order taken when drinks were delivered so it started great! We ordered 4 items and a soup. We were there for 40 minutes and got zero refills on our drinks and only received our soup at the 40 minute mark! We were told our rolls would be out shortly. 5 minutes later still nothing! So my husband went to the front to tell the servers and they had no answers they didn't even know if our food had been started (when people who came in after us ordered after up got 2 appetizers and rolls in the time I got a miso soup) then she asked if she could get us anything comped like an appetizer?.... no we are leaving. And we still got charged for and paid for our 2 drinks and the soup! So nothing comped nothing fixed. And 50 minutes waisted for nothing. They need to get their heads on straight and learn how to manage orders read more

We stopped here hot and tired after going to the zoo and it was amazing. The rolls are large my husband ordered 3 after our long day and still could not finish them! I had teriyaki chicken and egg rolls which came with 3 rolls! Lots of chicken and rice. I took half home and it was easily 2 meals. The only weird thing was they didn't have milk for my son. I went here a couple times, never got to try their sushi because I was still full on vegetarian (I now eat fish only just so I can eat sushi), but they had an o-k vegetable roll. I think I had a bowl of rice with veggies one time that was really good. read more

When I first saw the reviews I was like eh no. But then I went since it is close to me. The place is banging. The sushi is fresh, big portions. Great drink specials. The chef Joshua is awesome. So I totally suggest going to this place if your in the AV. Way way way better than Big Tuna. Sit at the sushi bar and just enjoy the friendly atmosphere. Ordered 5 different rolls for take out. I've eaten here a couple times but this was the first time for my husband. We are regulars at Big Tuna but we didn't want to go out tonight so we got take out from Sato. Everything was fresh, filling & tasty! Only complaint is that they give you soy sauce packets for take out. Those are such a PAIN! Small containers with lids would be much more user friendly. read more

This restaurant is in walking distance and had provided good service when we sat at the bar. However, when we sat at the table we were served scrapes on our yellowtail roll. When brought to the chef's attention, his reply it's fresh. The pieces were blood red across the entire roll. We have no been there since. read more
