Owner was very kind and concerned for my 2 year old son. She made sure we had wipes, and napkins and a high chair. The food was solid. Salmon poke appetizer $10, great sashimi, fresh cut green mango and radish. Avocado smoothie made with fresh avocado whole with agar jelly very smooth and nice. Hawaiian shrimp plate $19 Nice salty garlic rice and cooked shrimp. Fresh pineapple corners and cut pieces of pineapple

This place has been in Tracy for a very long time and I finally got around to trying it out for the first time! We got the Build Your Own Poke Bowls. The ingredients were very fresh. The service was very quick and friendly. The inside of the restaurant was very cute. They had a variety of sushi, boba teas, udon and more. When you walk in there are little sheets of paper to mark off what you want in your poke bowl! I would definitely come back to try some more things on the menu!

What a gem in Tracy. Cindy the owner is so amazing, vibrant, caring, and I can't say enough about her. She along with the food have become our favorites. Almost like being at home. The food is so fresh and flavorful. From the boba, to ramen, sushi, and poke bowls...so glad we came in. Will be our frequent stop from now on and a go to in Tracy for Japanese. Loved everything.

I cannot say enough of how welcoming Satomi is. Is a small establishment that makes you just feel comfy. Both of the owners always speak to me and I love talking with them. We got to talking about their children who serve in our nation's military and I also engaged in a conversation with their younger son who was helping at the register. I've never been disappointed with the food or service. Despite their AC had gone out the previous night, they still purchased and provided a cooling system so their customers wouldn't suffer during our Tracy summers. If you haven't already, pay a visit and enjoy a bit of hospitality, and some good eats!

Came for a business lunch, positive feedback from the 3 of us. It's not fancy, but it is clean, and they have a variety of options on their menu whether you do sushi or prefer cooked items. Our server gave great suggestions based on what we were wanting to try. I had the sashimi Salad and the agedashi tofu. Everything was good, and my coworker had one of the rolls, and she said it was good too. Next time I'm in town, I would love to try a few other things on the menu.

Food good Service great Ambiance ok Owner is very welcoming and friendly. Food was good, I just wish they'd used higher quality fish and added a couple more shrimps in my garlic shrimp plate. Ambiance needs some work, it didn't feel like we were in a sushi restaurant. Overall we had a good experience here and I would come back.

    5. Salmon Poke and Taro Milk Tea

This was my second time coming to this place. My first time is when I was a child. Glad to see that they are still up and running. I ordered pokey and Boba tea. Both were amazing. The service was extremely friendly and she even helped me decide what to order. It felt so calming and relaxing in there. I wish I could've stayed longer. I will definitely be back.

After hitting the gym, we didn't wanna "ruin" our workout with unhealthy food so Hubby was craving poke, and it was build-your-own. It was super hot this day so poke was a good idea!! We debated about whether to dine-in or take-out but quickly realized it was warm inside and didn't feel that the AC was on. :( so we got our food to-go. Food was fresh and yummy. I got salad as my base so I felt like that made my dish feel light. I should've gotten a 2nd protein. The owners were friendly, and the girl taking orders was kind and answered my poke questions. The only thing was when we got our food, hubby asked her for some chopsticks. We actually prefer to eat our Asian meals w/chopsticks. But she pushed back and said she had already put forks in our bag. but that's not what he asked. lol. So hubby asked her again for chopsticks and she gave us a couple. We also asked for a side of chili oil and it was a very good addition to our poke.

It's a great hole in the wall spot! Loved the food and the service. The owner is a sweetheart and I felt so welcomed. When you walk in, it feels like a little family diner. There's memoirs of family and customers. Plus the food was delicious! Amazing fish quality! Would 100% come back

Chicken Karaage (1/5) We were very disappointed. It wasn't true karaage, it felt more like frozen popcorn chicken with super thick batter. Not good at all. They also forgot the mayo that typically comes with it. I had to ask, and they brought out spicy mayo on the side. I only knew to ask because I've had karaage many times before, including during the time I lived in Japan. And I'm not comparing it to Japan standards, I've had great karaage here in the U.S. too. This just wasn't it. We ate a few pieces and then let our server know we couldn't continue. The server was very nice about it, and the manager removed it from our bill, which we appreciated. Ramen (2/5) When it first arrived, it had a slightly off smell and I was immediately hesitant. I didn't want to judge it too quickly, though. The broth ended up being very pepper-heavy, which was... interesting. Not necessarily in a good way. It just wasn't something I'd order again. Beer (5/5) Hubby loved his beer! Our only note is that we wish we'd been told it was the giant bottle size , that thing was huge and only hubby was drinking that night. Overall: The service was friendly. I'd skip the ramen here and come back to try their sushi instead. That seemed to be the real star of the restaurant.

It's unfortunate but I was pretty disappointed with my recent experience at Kimono Sushi. This…read moresmall sushi restaurant used to be my absolute favorite spot to stop at on my way from the East Bay out to Fresno and the Central Valley for work. I really loved this spot. The first time I ever came to this restaurant and tried their Ichiban Maki, I was hooked, because the knife skills needed to cut the cucumber so thin in order to literally make a sushi roll wrapped in a cucumber was amazing to me. But like many restaurants, I feel like it no longer gives me that same exciting feeling when I go there, and I definitely do not feel that I get the same value that I used to get. Very different today from how it was 2 years ago. In my most recent visit, I sat at the sushi bar like I usually do. When I placed my order, the waitress let me know that they were out of the Ichiban Maki, because they were out of the thin cucumber wrap. It's not that they buy this. The chefs have to make it and they have to cut it themselves. I know this is a tedious process cuz I've watch them do it myself in a previous visit. Ironically, there were two sushi chefs behind the sushi bar just standing there when I was ordering. I guess it's easier just to say that you're out of something rather than have your sushi chefs spend the time cutting up more cucumber wrap. Being that this is one of your most popular roles, I would think that it would be important to always have the cucumber wrap available. And if you do run out, maybe you would ask your your sushi chefs to start cutting some more instead of just standing there talking behind the counter. But maybe I'm just crazy. Either way, I ordered the Ichiban anyways, and instead I substituted soy paper wrap for the cucumber wrap. I order the ichiban all the time because it doesn't contain rice. So wrapping it in soy paper is just another way to wrap the roll and still enjoy a roll that doesn't have rice. The problem is, this is a $14.95 roll and what I got on my plate was something the size of a $5 roll. This thing wasn't even big enough to be calling an appetizer. I pointed it out to the chef and he just started at me like (you get what you get). I was kinda shocked but I didn't say anything more. Just ate my little roll and moved on. I also ordered a raging fire roll which does contain rice. My hope was at least with this roll, I would enjoy it and leave the restaurant feeling filled and satisfied. No such luck. Once again, I got a roll that was extremely small, covered in sauce and definitely not worth $15. It was basically the size of a cucumber making roll that I buy for my kids. But a cucumber making roll is $4 or $5. This roll is $15 and again one of their "Chef Specialty Rolls". Super embarrassing if this is what you serve as your chef specialty. Thankfully for me, I had started my meal with two appetizers. The nigiri sushi app and the sake fin. Both were great, but they are appetizers. What can I say. In the end, I spent $60 by myself to stop and grab dinner on my drive. Frankly, I left still feeling a little hungry. I know that sounds crazy being that I ordered two appetizers, two sushi rolls and a miso soup, but I'm not kidding. I was pretty disappointed. Maybe it was an off night for the chef. Even the best restaurants and chefs have bad nights. I may give this restaurant another try at some point because I still love the Ichiban Maki when it is made properly, but if my next experience is like this one, and if I continue to see sushi rolls the size of my pinky, it may be my last experience. Sushi is expensive enough as it is. The next time, if I do go back, if they serve me a what received tonight, I would probably send it back. Be better. Maintain high quality and provide value, and your customers will stay loyal. If you head down the cheap road, you will end up with a very quiet restaurant.

Prior visit - This is a great little place to be for a meal. Totally unassuming from the street and even when you walk up, as it is in a small strip business center off of 11th Street. When I walked in for lunch, I was immediately greeted by a guy behind the bar (which is right at the door) with a smile. I proceeded upstairs to the clean and comfortable 'loft' and grabbed a table along the window so I could see out. The interior is clean and simple, open first floor to second floor ceiling. Great music playing, and just a nice vibe all the way around. Andrea, came by with a smile and greeting, asked if I had any questions, and headed off with my order. I didn't get the bartender's name, but he was just as attentive and super nice, as he came upstairs to my table and described some of the beers he currently has available. Small batch craft beers are good. . . Food: The menu is not so 'typical' as you get to select your protein, the sauce or spice for that protein, then your carb, and your veggie (or make it a salad). Nice choices too. My chicken with Korean BBQ sauce, beer batter fries and grilled Brussels sprouts was good, especially the sprouts. My chicken was on the dry side, but I have a feeling it may have been due to the fact they were managing a party of 15 as well as all the other patrons while I was there. A bit hectic for two people to keep up that pace. I definitely recommend coming to the Upper Room.

Mother's Day dinner was a pure shit show with this place. We…read moreknew it'd be busy so we ordered "to go" from the app. First issue: the app does not take orders over $125. We're a big family so I ended up splitting it into 3 orders. Second issue: because I split the order, an item 3 members wanted kept going out of stock. The prime rib 16oz then the 14oz then the 12oz (only 2 of the 3 went thru on the order). Third issue: I went a few minutes just before the "scheduled" pickup time to pay the orders (app only took Apple Pay, giftcard, or pay at pickup). At this point I haven't gotten a call or text about my order. It's my turn up to the counter ("to go" pickup is outside) and ask about any possible available prime rib and she says they're out. I figure ok at least we got the 2 for the to-go order. I informed her that I have 3 to-go orders from the app. She goes to check on the orders and returns to inform me that they are COMPLETELY out of prime rib and had cancelled them from one of the orders. So basically 2 family members weren't getting dinner. ME being one of them. On mf MOTHER'S DAY! I kept my cool and proceeded to order dinner replacements. At this point we were 20min past the "scheduled" pickup time of 7:45pm and the orders still weren't ready. I asked the gal if I had ordered in the morning for pickup for dinner, would that have guaranteed the prime rib? She flat out said "Nope. We run out whenever we run out." Basically the app does not match up to their inventory and they don't hold anything for online/app orders. It's all first-come-first-served regardless of when you order. In other words the app is useless. Fourth issue: It seemed we had finally gotten the orders straight. All combined orders totaled over $300. I asked if I could get a discount since they cancelled part of my order without letting me know. They gave me my $12 appetizer free. I asked if I could get 10% off since the replacement dinners were more. About another $10 off. I thought whatever $22 off and still paid over $300 combined. Fifth issue: I asked how long for the order with the replacement steaks and she said should be quick about 20-30min. That seemed quick for how busy they were. So I waited. Not that I had a choice. 45 MINUTES LATER... Our food is finally ready and I'm still composed. I am at the counter and get the 3 huge bags. I start looking through them to try and make sure I have everything cause again it was multiple orders and I live 25-30min away. It was 9pm and so I'm trying to quickly go through the bags. Half the containers are soggy and cold. I think these might have been ready when I got there, but they're wanted me to wait until everything was ready. During the chaos the gal behind the counter asks me to move over cause they're backed up so she can help the next person. I tell her "I waited. They can wait." The lighting outside sucks. I can barely make out what's in each container. She again tells me to move to the side. I'm annoyed at this point and say "Ma'am I'll move when I'm ready." She calls over some shift mgr and tells her I won't move. That B of a mgr slams the window shut. At that point I was like F it. There's not enough room or light for me to check everything so I leave. Last issue: of course a bunch of sides are missing and some made incorrectly. By the time we tally up the damage the place was closed and no one is answering the phone. Cold, soggy food. Unhappy family. And a pissed off mom... on Mother's Day. I usually genuinely like Texas Roadhouse. Food is good. Service is ok, but yesterday they were crap through and through. Going today to get a refund of all the missing sides and extras that we never got.
