Stopped here on our way up to South Lake Tahoe as Waze had us going around traffic on 205 and was pleasently surprised. We found it via Yelp and if it weren't for the good reviews I would have easily passed it over. I rarely go to sushi restaurants that aren't busy out of fear that the won't have fresh fish but this place did not disappoint. The poke bowl was on par with what I get in the Bay area. We usually order from this place and love it. However this was the most horrible experience I've had with this restaurant. We ordered two poke bowls and a sushi roll. In both of the poke bowls the toppings were NOT fresh, the cucumbers were wilted, the crab tasted not fresh, the avocados were turning brown and the rice tasted at least two days old. As for the sushi roll (which I was so excited for), the rice once again tasted old, avocado was turning brown and the "seared salmon" wasn't even pink. We ordered food with extreme excitement for lunch and was thoroughly disappointed not just with one item but with all. When calling about the issue they were no help and I was hung up on. Right away they said I was wrong and they will not give me a refund. I, as well as my coworkers (in this location alone 400 people), are so disappointed in this place as well as their customer service and definitely will not order again. read more

This is the best place to get Japanese/Hawaiian cuisine in the San Joaquin County! They never disappoint! My go to's are: the spicy edamame, the spicy poke appetizer, the last samurai roll, and of course the poke. The staff is always so friendly when my boyfriend and I walk in to eat. It's amazing why this place isn't packed every time we go... love everything about this place... Definitely a must try if your looking for something yummy to eat. I really liked the place. It was quiet and I ordered for take out. Tried their version of a poki bowl, Alaska roll, and salmon nigiri. Everything was really good and the young lady was patient with me when I was deciding. It took a little while but she apologized. Minus one star because I paid the extra two dollars for crab meat and avocado but it wasn't in my bowl. :( It's okay though because I know it's a newer item. Overall, good experience! I'll be back. :) They also had a tv playing a Korean drama. Always a plus for me. I'd like to study here if they have wifi or something. It definitely gives a home feeling which I like. read more

My husband and I came in for lunch on a Saturday at about 12:30pm. We were greeted by a gentleman out front and a waitress seated us and gave us our menus once we walked in. We were the only ones dining in at the time. We started with a couple appetizers, gyoza and the spicy garlic edamame. It was some of the best gyoza and edamame we've had, and we've had a lot over the years. We continued with some miso soup as it was still rather chilly outside. The miso was delicious with large chunks of tofu. Super hot and fresh! As for rolls we kept it simple. My husband ordered a tempura roll and California roll. Myself, I ordered the volcano roll. Everything tasted soooo fresh! The best volcano roll that I've had. It was spicy, as a volcano roll should be. The tempura on top of the roll tasted freshly made as if it was fried specifically for the roll, not just the scraps of all the leftover tempura batter from everything being fried already. That's always been my impression at other restaurants, top the volcano roll with the scrap tempura batter.. bleh.. but not this place! I couldn't help but eat every piece of batter on my plate! My husband said the California roll and tempura roll were delicious as well! Avocado was fresh with no brown spots, the cucumber was fresh with a nice crunch. Our waitress was so nice as well, after talking with her and explaining to her that I was pregnant she offered to sear the salmon for me next time so I can enjoy their poke bowls! The best waitress I've encountered in quite some time! Super sweet! Honestly, my husband and I cannot wait to come back! We've found our newest sushi spot. read more

I used to come here almost every week but today I had a very unpleasant visit, I usually get the poke bowls which are (usually) amaaaazzing but I decided to get gyoza for the first time today. Let me tell you I made a mistake!!! The chicken and beef teriyaki was dry and the meat had no teriyaki sauce on it. The sushi was not as good as other places I've eaten. Tempura tasted like they used the katsu batter for the shrimp rather than the tempura batter, which I prefer. read more

I order the tempura shrimp roll for my daughter. As I took a piece to taste, I immediately tasted a ransom, unfresh, and spoil shrimp. I took it out of my mouth into a napkin and had my husband taste one. He couldn't pick up the foulness, but knew something wasn't right so he also took it out of his mouth. In the mean time my kid ate 3 pieces. I called the waitress about the issue. They offered another role and I decided to get one without any seafood. Later, that night I was attending a child with food poison. She started vomiting until the next evening. This concludes my experience, unfortunately. read more

Came in the other week. It was pretty quiet but I figured it was because everyone was out of town for spring break. I was greeted by the cheery waitress, who sat me down and brought me my menu. I ordered the pork ramen. It took 10-15 minutes to come out but I didn't mind because I figured they were making it fresh and I could watch Gabriel Iglesias on the big TV. When my food came out the waitress offered me hot oil, which I gladly accepted. Man, oh man. That hot oil is amazing! I like my ramen spicy, so I dumped the whole small dish of hot oil in it. The broth was amazing! The noodles weren't too chewy or too hard. Just right! The boiled egg was just perfect. The pork was good too. Overall the ramen was delicious. I ate everything, down to the last drop of soup! The whole time while I'm eating, the waitress is checking up on me constantly, asking if I need anything or if I'd like more water.
