This is our favorite light, lunch spot. We come here 2-3 times a week for Poke Bowls. I've never had one before so I can't compare to another. But I am HOOKED. They are always fresh. Made to order. Filling but not too filling to where you wanna roll over. It's a quiet little spot. Never crowded. But people always come and pick up to go order. The girls at the register are always very sweet and nice. Offering water awhile we wait for our to go order. They have a tv that is always playing a movie. It's very quiet and calm. Tables are clean. Floor is clean. Air conditioned and a fan running which is nice on hot days. I would reccommend this place! read more

POKE BOWLLLLLL :P Their poke bowls are soooo fresh and have so many topping choices. Also, they put a lot of meat on their poke bowls and they are decently priced, I think with my additions I chose it's usually about an $12 bowl, the bowls start at $10 I'm pretty sure. The young lady who is the only server I've seen there is so nice and even turned on Lilo and Stitch for my toddler while we were eating so we could enjoy our dinner. I was surprised to have found a place that served poke in Tracy. I thought I'd give this place a shot based off of the reviews. Upon entering I was greeted by dated furniture and dirty booths and mismatched tables. The place seemed a bit run down and the way the dining area was arranged was very odd. When dining in you had the option of ordering Japanese cuisine from the table or ordering at the counter for poke. There was no "have it your way" kind of set up when ordering poke either. All the food was prepared behind a wall. When I got my poke, I was saddened by the fact that the fish was not skinned properly. I still had some on my salmon and the salmon had a frozen-esque taste to it. Overall the poke was OK, but it was nothing amazing. Despite all this, I thought customer service was superb so no stars deducted there. All in all I do not think I will be returning. read more

The lack of people in the restaurant should have triggered my warning lights. With no one around, we were seated quickly but experienced extreme lack of attention throughout the remainder of the evening. There were 3 employees , 2 waitresses and 1 chef. The waitresses were streaming Gilmore Girls on Netflix on the TV. It took forever to take our order, once we did the waitress kept asking for the menu back even after we mentioned we would be order more rolls. The food took quite a long time to arrive. The tempura was overly breaded, cooked appropriately though. The bento box was decent, good portions but sub par cuts of meat (beef and chicken). Udon soup was lackluster in flavor and quantity. The rolls proceeded to take 45 minutes to come out, 1 at a time. By the 30 minute mark we asked them to disregard the last roll we were waiting on, they informed us the chef had just made it "so sorry", then took 15 minutes to bring it to us. Rolls were decent enough. Would not go back. read more

The food here offers great value. It is a way better deal than many other Japanese restaurants. Staffs are very friendly. I love the fact that they always have comedy shows playing on their TV. I understand they are a relatively new business and it takes time to build up their customer base. But closing at 8 pm seems kinda early for a restaurant. read more

Gave this place a try one day after school with my friends. the interior was cute and they had this one large painting in there with horses and bamboo on the windows which gave off an Asian interior thing going on. The staff was welcoming and kind, they were helpful with me ordering and answered questions that I had. they even did a customised roll for me because I didn't like certain things. I order the firecracker and the chicken teriyaki. Those were very tasty, I recommend it. I will definitely be back soon, they always have funny on the tv, like cartoons or stand up comedians. The food was made really quick from when I placed the order. The chicken was alright with rice. The price was not bad and the staff was friendly. This place is a gem. Was a little quite when I walked in but I'm so happy I tried it. I was wondering what the seaweed salad tasted like because it's a topping on the poke bowl and they gave me a sample to try before I ordered. It was so yummy I could just eat that. I was THRILLED to find a place that makes Poke bowls here in Tracy! I was a little skeptical at first, because frankly the place that was at this location before scared me a bit. But I decided to give it a shot and was pleasantly surprised at how good it was here at Satomi. Extremely quick service, friendly staff, and comfortable environment. I got the Saba Sashimi and Ahi poke bowl with all the fixings. The fish was the freshest I've had in Tracy, and the rest of the ingredients were very fresh as well. They were out of Saba, so they let me switch it to Hamachi (which is more expensive) free of charge. I highly recommend this place to everyone who is looking for a good sushi/ poke joint. Definitely a great place to get some good sushi here in Tracy. The Owner, and his staff are extremely friendly, and attentive to you, and the Menu is very refreshingly different form other sushi places I have been to. They also have plenty of options for Vegan/ Vegetation customers, sot hat is always a plus. I'll admit when I walked int he first time,t he lack of apparent business almost put me off, but I soon realized that this is only because a lot of their clientele are getting to go orders, which is a shame, because the in house dining is very nice. Satomi was delicious! Last night my friends and I were craving gyoza and udon and Satomi hit the spot. We were able to pick-up our meal in no time. Last month on a Tuesday, we came here for dinner because of the reviews. When we went inside, there was a couple of customers dining in. We approached the counter to order or meals. My friend chose a poke bowl while I opted for the seafood ramen. We sat down on a table and was served a small saucer of salad as we waited for our food. When I got my ramen, I tasted the broth first and was surprised that it had curry in it. I like curry but I wasn't expecting it in my seafood ramen. The menu didn't mention it nor was I informed when I ordered it. I didn't think that it was bad, but I can't say it was good either. And my friend found the poke okay. So based on our food and experience, I'll rate this average. read more

The food was amazing. I would recommend the poke bowl. Best price for the best bowl. The options for the bowl are large. From yellow tail to tuna and a large variety of veggies.
