He refused to offer any information on the typr of insurance provided unless I provide a credit card or check for $10.00 to process drivers license. I inquired about this unusual practice and he became beligerant and hung up on me. My inquiries simply included: are you a private insurance company or a local broker from a larger firm and do you offer rental car coverage in your premiums? For all those years my agent has saved me thousands of dollars, had protected me in two occasions of car accidents where I was accused from the opposite party with no fault on my part. Similar situations had happened before when dealing with some of the major Insurance Companies like Mercury for example and they would drop me with no explanation after the incident. Also twice I have followed my agent's suggestion to switch between Insurance offers in order to get better rates. No one else has ever done this before for me. Cal Society Insurance and their broker Jose gave me the most unprofessional service I've ever seen. They charged me a $400 broker fee, and then the insurance company they placed me with (Redwood Fire and Casualty Insurance) charged me an overpriced premium of around $1,500 per month. After that, they started asking for more and more documents. I provided everything they requested, exactly as they asked for it. Even after giving them the correct paperwork, they still cancelled my insurance for no valid reason. What made it even worse was Jose's attitude. The moment they took the fee, he became rude, unhelpful, and even hung up on me. Zero customer service, zero respect, and zero accountability. I'm writing this review so other customers can be careful. This was a complete nightmare from start to finish. I would never recommend this agency or their service to anyone.

I recently purchased a new car and was looking for reliable and affordable insurance. This is my first big purchase so I wanted to go with a top insurance broker to ensure that my baby will be taken care of if anything ever happened to her. I've been with Geico for 4 years now and they are a bit steep but I LOVE their customer service and their effectiveness so obvi I was looking for a company with similar competency. SO I am a very efficient person so weeks before I purchased the car I shopped around at different brokers. When I got to State Farm the online quote was $170 a month. I wasn't thrilled about it and an agent called me to go over the quote. I provided more information about myself and from there they re-did my quote and got it down to $119.43 a month which was UNBELIEVABLY amazing so I followed up with the agent and let them know that quote would work for me. So thinking I had the price locked I went forward with the purchase of my car. Saturdays they aren't open and you cant reach any alternative customer service rep. Which is bizarre I was on hold for 30 mins and no response. Geico is NEVER busy. Their are reps available 24/7 so I was already suspicious about this company. Fast forward to Monday after I purchased the car. I called the office again, and spoke with a rep about my quote and how i wanted to move forward with the policy. She was friendly enough and helped me out. She got all my info as far as vehicle vin and my cc info, but then she tells me about some Renter Insurance that if i get I can pay just $1 more a month and be fully covered. Im not thrilled and she convinces me to go through with it. So whatever 120 and some change not a big deal right! So then after like 2 hrs she sends me an email and says that the Renter Insurance will be $10 extra bucks a month and that my total will be $129 or I can opt out the insurance and pay $132 for my premium coverage -_- At this point I am ANNOYED. LIKE the fuck is up with the every elevating numbers. I'm not even a customer and your already pulling shit out of nowhere and tryna play me. Like seriously I was annoyed. Although it was an extra $10 from the quote I was more upset about the devious bait and switch move they pulled. Don't entice me with a low ball number then fuck me in the ass for $120 more a year. On principle alone I decided to take my ass to Geico who has NEVER misquoted me or tried to dollar fuck me in the end. I talked to Rosemarie about it but all she had was some half hearted apology and didn't really empathize with my frustration. Overall I would never mess with SF. I was able to get Geico to competitively match the price which was amazing so know I am getting great service and no deceit from a reliable agency. STAY AWAY!

I was able to finally cancel my policy through Kemper's Support where they tell me it would take 5 weeks to get my refund. 5. WEEKS? It doesn't take that long to get a refund. Even the Customer Support Kemper forwarded me to sucks.
