I've been hooked for like 9 years!!! I've been coming since they opened and they literally (Hand To God) just keep getting better!!! Nicest coolest owners/Chef. Amazing food consistently! Great friendly waitresses every time! Great Italian and Sicilian decor. The New thin crust neo pizza blows my mind! It's my fav pizza from them now! The New lasagna Wednesday is absolutely THE BEST IN TOWN. I travel A LOT and I swear it's up there with Mulberrys in Buffalo (on the Food Network, all the Bills go crazy for and frequent them). We need Josh Allen to start frequenting Sauce now too haha. Big delicious portions. Mind blowing desserts. Serve beer and wine. Everything is so fresh and made in house. Do yourself a favor and get their spicy fried provolone and arincinis too! *drooling* It's within walking distance of the La Quinta and the Double Tree hotels. The food was fantastic, but it took at least 1 hr to get the food. Pasta was perfectly al-dente and sauce had a ton of lump crab and plenty of shrimp. Our waitress only had a few days on the job, but when a customer has to go ask about the food twice to make sure we weren't forgotten, makes the experience unpleasant regardless of how good the food is. If you are short staffed in the kitchen at the very least let people know it's going to be a long wait. read more

I came here for the first time recently and had a good experience! Their menu had a great variety of pasta dishes, pizzas, sandwiches, and more. I opted to share a large "The Boot" pizza, and there were plenty of leftovers to take home and enjoy again the next day. I loved everything about that pizza! Went to the reopening tonight and got our favorite pizzas, Sonny's Revenge and Drunken Nonna. They are perfectly chewy and crunchy. Sonny's packs the heat and an overwhelming amount of different flavors. Nonna is decadent and cozy. The half pizzas are large enough to get two and take half of them home for another whole meal. Pricing is very good. I love Sauce and I've missed you! read more

On a weekend trip down to Jamestown and after spending the afternoon in Lily Dale, the family and I were hungry for dinner and had a hankering for pizza. After taking a look on Yelp, we came across SAUCE and saw they had great reviews, plus they dine-in service so we wouldn't have to pick up and bring a pizza back to our hotel room. In short, we had an excellent meal! We walked over from a local bar a couple blocks away around 6:30pm on a Friday. Upon walking inside, the place was plenty busy. We met the hostess and asked how long the wait for a table of three would be and she told us five minutes! We waited outside for her to call us back and indeed, about five minutes later, we were seated at a table. Then our waitress came over with menus and a pitcher of water and took our drink order, but gave us a moment to browse their food menu. She was excellent - Friendly, courteous, attentive. Once she took our food order, it was about a 25 minute wait for our dinner, but it was very much worth the wait, plus I didn't mind sipping on a PBR Cold Brew and a Coors Orange Cream Pop Hard Seltzer and socializing. For dinner, we decided on ordering one of their specialty Sicilian-style pizzas called, The Lefty, which was a red-base sauce pizza with Italian sausage, green peppers, a little bit of onions, and breadcrumbs in their Whole (12" x 18", 12 slices) size. Now I can be a bit of a Buffalo pizza snob, but wow, was this pizza phenomenal! The toppings were plentiful on each slice and were fresh. The Italian sausage wasn't overly spiced and cooked perfectly. Their red sauce was not sweet like a Buffalo-style but had excellent flavor and was ladled on perfectly. The mozzarella cheese was plentiful and had that awesome cheese-string pull when picking up each slice! Everything about this pie was excellent, but the standout to me was the dough and crust. The dough was thick, had a nice crispiness, and was cooked perfectly. The crust was the perfect balance of crispy and chewy that had me craving more! Between the three of us, I ended up eating half of the pizza by myself, it was that good! What amazed me though was that I didn't get a heavy feeling from the pizza, I was full, but I didn't feel gross. haha Also, the price for our drinks and food was incredibly reasonable, I honestly was shocked at how low the total came to be. So, in summary, if you're near downtown Jamestown and want to sit down and enjoy some pizza (or maybe some pasta or a hero), you should really consider going to SAUCE. My family and I are already talking about our next visit here when we come back to Jamestown! read more

We are in town for the Lucille Ball Fan Fest. Not knowing the best places to eat we depend on locals and Yelp reviews. We came here for dinner. Not a huge place and so glad we came when it first opened...it was packed by the time we left. We had the "fully loaded" bread. Omg! It was wonderful. For mains we had the chicken piccata...she said it was fresh and delicious, penne with a meatball and Sunday sauce - again she said it was delicious, pepperoni pizza - again, delicious and I had a garden salad (very fresh with Italian dressing) and a meatball. As a vegetarian, I don't normally order pasta at a restaurant because it's usually overpriced for what you get. After asking the server for recommendations, though, I went with the eggplant over ziti and it was amazing. Super thin and crispy breading, no bitterness left in the eggplant and rich, seasoned tomato sauce. Breadstick was a delicious, happy surprise too. I was in the mood for subs one day and was tired of all the usual places (especially Wegmans--as good as their subs are, I just wanted something else)... I came across Sauce in my search. It's not a "sub" place per se, but it's where I went. We ordered the Eggplant Hero and The "Pinky Ring." DELICIOUS. There were so many other items I saw in the menu that I can't wait to go back. Some great-looking pastas and I look forward to trying the "Corrado's Garden" pizza. I'll be happily thinking about Uncle Junior from The Sopranos the whole time. **** HIGHLY RECOMMEND **** I was not expecting such a great restaurant in this town!  Not that it's a bad town, but it felt a little sketchy when we pulled into our hotel. Our hotel was a 4 minute walk from Sauce, and we needed dinner before our trip to Southern Tier Brewing Company. The short walk to/from dinnee was perfect. Interesting bottle décor in the outside window displays welcome you to a tasty Italian meal. The typical Italian art/prints throughout the restaurant are a little cliche, but set the mood. We weren't sure what the cinder blocks, chains and handcuffs were for?  Maybe if you can't pay your bill, you'll "sleep with the fishes?" To order, you grab the pencil and notepad on your table, which has your table number written on each page.  Write out what you want and bring it to the ordering desk.  Order a drink, or grab a soda while you're up there.  They bring it out to you. The ordering system seems like a fast food joint, but the food is nothing of the sort! My penne alla vodka was incredibly flavorful, and a tad spicy. With creamy vodka sauce, a few capers and fresh shaved parmesan, it hit the spot!! The garlic bread was a delicious accompaniment, which I used to sop up the extra sauce.  I don't think they are homemade noodles, but everything tasted delicious. My nephew got the chicken fettuccini penne and my husband got the chicken piccata (too lemony, but he liked it like that).  I had to bring half back to the hotel because there was so much food!  I'd say the prices were pretty good for what you get. OH!  And get the salted peanut butter pie dessert.  SOOOOO GOOOOOD. I don't know if I'll ever be back in Jamestown, but I will definitely come back if I do! FYI - This restaurant is in the town where Lucille Ball was born, and there's a cute little museum a block away from the restaurant.  There are all sorts of references to Ms. Ball all over town. read more

I came here Saturday night with three friends before a big race in Lakewood the next morning. The decor is cool and they had The Godfather playing on a tv. I split check Marsala with a friend. For $17, what she received was quite small. They had small bottles of Barefoot wine. My drink was a 20 ounce bottle of Diet Pepsi. It's a weird set up. You seat yourself, walk up to the counter and order, and then your food is brought out to you. The counter is further back in the restaurant. We split the arancini appetizer which was quite good. I took some peanut butter pie with me which was good too. It was quite a pricy meal with a small serving size but I'd come back if I was in Jamestown again to give it another chance. Visiting Jamestown I stumbled upon this wonderful little restaurant. It was delicious! The garlic bread was covered with 3 kinds of cheese and they don't skimp! I had crusted chicken with a tasty sauce, and pasta with the Sunday Sauce which is amazing! I can't figure out what they put in it to make it taste sooo good. Disaster - no table side service - took 1.5 hours to get our meals, and then they forgot 1 of the dishes - took another 30 mins before they could get the pizza to the only kid in the group; I ordered the $18 chicken Marsala and ended up with a less than mediocre breaded, double fried chicken breast (tasted like they cooked it 3 days ago); husband ordered the chicken piccata - and was so tart, could barely eat it... loud, no music, and a single order taker/cashier - who apparently could figure out how to record/enter any orders in less than 10 mins each... read more

My husband and I came in tonight and this food is AMAZING!!!! We have a Little Italy in Baltimore and this food is better than Little Italy. The app portions (enzo bread and fried cheese) were large, so we had a lot of takehome, but man this guy can cook (and we have no complaints about leftovers). The staff is also very friendly and nice. A great find. Our bill was only $78 and that was with two apps, two entrees, and a bottle of wine :) The decor is fabulous, looks like it was done by professional designers. read more

I got this for the first time during quarantine. It was expensive... my bill came to ~35$ for an appetizer (eggplant stack) and a full pizza (Sonny's revenge). It was well worth it!!! The pizza was amazing!! One of the best I've had and it's all Sicilian crust made fresh daily. Pick up and ordering was simple and completely safe! You definitely get what you paid for... if you're skeptical with the prices or authenticity try a half size (6 slices). The eggplant stack was more than enough to share and just as delicious the next day . Try it!!! You won't be disappointed. read more

I've been known to make jokes about Italian restaurants and pizza places in general in our area. A new one pops up every day it seems. When Sauce opened, I did the same razzing to my friends about it: "Oh. An Italian restaurant? With pasta and pizza and family recipes? You don't say..." and it also hurt that it opened in the same spot as one of my favorite restaurants (Jones Valhalla) that recently closed. I am not ashamed to admit that I was wrong and that this pizza IS different than some of the crap around here. The pizza is a true deep dish style pizza and it is INCREDIBLE! We got "Don the Jeweler" which had different meats and a white sauce on top. It was spectacular and it's one of my new favorite pizza places. When you walk in, you need to order at the counter and then they bring you the food when it's done, took us a minute to understand that. The place wasnt too busy because it was close to closing time, but they still allowed us to order and it didn't take long for the food to come out. Service was good, the restaurant space was clean and looked good. Decorations were cool. I loved it all. read more

Visited the in-laws and they recommended Sauce. In Jamestown, NY this is easily a 5/5. My wife and MIL loved the eggplant stack. Our toddler son (and everyone else) devoured his Alfredo pasta. Personally, I thought my dish (puttanesca ) was the best of the evening, but each diner loved their own dish with as much conviction. I wasn't going to write a review but after thinking about it and being accused of it by the owner well here is mine. I went in yesterday to get a refund, and was met w hostility so i will exercise my 1st amendment right. My wife left a review that I was unaware of, and owner took exception. Even though I paid with my money, he gave me an ultimatum. If I want a refund, review has to come down first or I never want to see you in here again. I was told to go home and "handle" my wife point blank. And was told she isn't a "foodie" because she doesn't make reviews. Meanwhile she is a chef a couple blocks away. Im sorry but nah my man, you are a professional and should have some level of customer service skills. I've never been treated like that, and my wife is her own person. I dont control what she does but i drove 30 mins to get my refund I sure as hell ain't driving back because you can't handle one negative review that I was ambushed about. I will just dispute it with my bank and let everyone know regardless of the reason for refund, mainly how the owner acts. If you cant control your Facebook page, dont get mad when people are impatient after a ruined night. Instead simply say all inquires please call or email. read more

So I am only giving them two stars for this one experience. We are locals and get food from this restaurant every now and then, service tends to vary from time to time. We had to actually order in person because they were not even picking up their phone whatsoever. Apparently they take off there phone at seven they said, but they definitely took their phone off hours before that when we were trying to order. We ordered about 1 hour and a half ago and we still haven't gotten our food, even though they said we would have in 45 minutes. It's not even the fact that it is taking this long, but it's the fact that they told us it would be a lot shorter of a wait, so we have a person who went to pick the food up at the time they told us and they've been waiting there for twenty minutes now. I mean if it is going to take a while just tell us and then we won't be expecting it any earlier, basic restaurant service. Also we could not even call them or contact them because of their ridiculous phone service. We didn't even order a lot, we ordered two pastas and a salad. When we finally got our food (which was not hot at all) there was no discount for the inconvenience or anything. Absolutely ridiculous, unacceptable, bad service today. We understand that you are busy but you should not neglect your pick up orders over your dine in orders. Very disappointed. read more

I was in town traveling for work. Really cool vibe in here. Looks to be catering to a younger/ hip crowd but they were incredibly welcoming to me (older than 50). I did takeout. The service was outstanding. Very friendly. One of the cooks came out and thanked me. He may have been an owner? I had the Jimmy 2 Times pizza. Thick crust with full flavor. Tasted very fresh. I got the butcher this weekend and it was absolutely awful! I lived in Sicily for almost a year (just north of Marsala near the airport) so I know real Sicilian pizza when I eat it. This isn't it, not even close. This isn't even good pizza to begin with! I ended up tossing most of it and ordering Dominos. Go someplace else if you want even a decent pizza. read more

This was a really tasty Italian restaurant! It was a little awkward when we first walked in. We weren't sure if we could seat ourselves or not. You also have to order from the counter up front, so we didn't really have a waitress, which was frustrating because I definitely would have preferred to get refills of my drink without walking up to the counter. The food took forever to come out, but we think it's because they make everything for your order specifically...which on the other, was super nice because the food was incredible! Would definitely come back here again to try different options! Just wish those working at the counter were a little more attentive to the tables like a usual server at other restaurants. read more

We tried Sauce for Dinner this week and were very happy with the look and feel of the restaurant. The wait staff were very friendly and "on it"! We started by sharing shared eggplant stacks and arancini, both very appetizing and quite good! The arancini are different from the local Sicilian style Home made recipes but proved to be a delicious alternative. We ordered the Don the Jeweler (?)
