Apparently the City of Chicago rules changed about suburban companies servicing the city for tows, and now requires a license and a fee. I was disappointed because their service was world's better than NorthShore. I bought guest passes on Sept. 16. But if they haven't been patrolling our lot, without EVER sending us an email or calling, for a month, what was the point of selling the passes to us. Waste of money. The owner and a tow truck driver said someone (Glenda?) was supposed to send an email to us, but we got absolutely nothing. The fact that we never sent a cancellation letter for a new company should've been the tip off. If not for the SUV parked in one of our spots, I have no idea how long it would've taken them to tell us. I noticed communication was all over the place anyway. One lady on the phone (still unsure if it was Glenda) would tell me to text pictures of the car that needs to be towed instead of taking the info down herself. The owner, who usually sounded like he wanted to do anything but answer the phone, would still take the info via phone. Cris was responsive, but he also gave me another number to call and would follow-up to see who was working that night. (I felt bad about this because I always seemed to need his help on off days.) When a tow request was overnight and I'd call in the morning, the owner told me on a couple of occasions he didn't know what was going on. Nobody seems to know what the next person is doing. I'll give the company 5 stars for Cris. He always was quick to respond, followed up and efficient. Kelly was at first and then again later on, so I'll give him 4 stars. (He tolerated my dog who had a case of the Zoomies.) I think the team is nice overall and STILL would've rather worked with them than another towing company, but I give it 3 stars due to disorganization and mediocre communication.

I had the misfortune of driving over a piece of metal on the expressway and getting an instant flat tire. After somehow getting off the expressway in one piece, I exited to a pretty dark and secluded area that gave me the creeps. It was dark, cold and I had no idea where I was. To make matters worse, I realized that I didn't have a spare tire or a tire inflating device in my truck. I called two other towing companies before I got to M&M, and they each said it would take a minimum of 1.5 hours to pick me up. Thankfully, when I called M&M, I was able to speak directly to the driver. He picked me up in 15 minutes. He was quick, efficient, and got me and my car home safely. I will save this company's number on my phone in case I ever need them again.

It all started well enough, but as we were riding down my street, the driver went flying over a speed bump. We flew over it and the car smashed down with a loud thud. The driver stopped to "double check on the car" and to "refasten it" and he didn't mention anything and I didn't think to get out and see if anything had happened. So after all is said and done, I take my car home and I parked, walked behind it and noticed that the bumper had been scrapped and tattered. I immediately contacted John's Towing. They gave me the run around. First John acted like it wasn't him that had driven, or that he wasn't the manager. Then he said he would call me back. Did they? No. I called back today and I got the response that "ma'm go do whatever you'd like, we aren't paying". I filed a police report, talked to my insurance company and will file a complaint with the ICC. This is completely unacceptable. if need be, I am taking this to small claims. I would not have been so mad about the whole situation, had I not spent 800 bucks two weeks ago getting brand new bumpers installed on the car. Then I lost the car key and it hadn't been driven the car at all until John's Towing came to pick the car up. So I know my bumpers were still unscathed and brand new until he wrecked it. I'm furious. My estimate for the damage is $600 bucks because they ended up scrapping and piercing the bumper.

They guy who picked up my car was very personable and friendly. The second time I needed towing I called a different place first and was not satisfied with the estimated arrival time or cost of service. I called John's Towing abd they beat the price and estimated arrival time in half of the original place I called. I even got the same guy and he remembered me. That is great customer service! We called this place and Rich got us connected with a truck in about 30 mins. The driver was amazing. Got my car onto the flat bed and got it into my garage with a little help from us to push. He drove us home with the car and was friendly the whole way. He was a life saver!! They even offered to junk my car for me if need be. I will keep these guys in my phone just in case. I highly recommend. If you have to wait a little, it's still worth it. Our insurance tow driver never showed so this place was the right move. They turned a crappy night into a less crappy night and I will always appreciate them for that.
