Bar Harbor is located within the Hyatt at National Landing (ground level). Arriving early evening, I opted for pickup. Their phone number is the same as the Hyatt's front desk, so be sure to specify you're calling for the restaurant and they'll transfer you. Food was ready within the estimated 20mins, even though I didn't dine in the space itself was goregeous and had a nice mix of tables (high top and standard) plus a variety of sporting events on the tvs. The burger was cooked perfectly, and the Margherita pizza had a nice balance with the balsamic glaze. The tomatoes were a bit thicker than I'm used to for pizzas, but fresh. If you are going for the brownie with the ice cream, recommend eating that first as the brownie hardened pretty quickly. If I stay here again, will definitely reorder. read more

This restaurant is inside the Hyatt. They have happy hour Monday - Friday with specials for around $8 and up. Which is a good deal and the portions were smaller but still good. The staff was friendly. It can get kind of busy at times. So we ordered Togo which it's normally not allowed. Happy hour is dine in only. But my granddaughter was over being out so the nice waiter boxed our food up. So I was appreciative!! I ordered loaded fries, my daughter's got nachos and chicken tenders. The fries were pretty decent. The chicken tenders were ok. My daughter really liked her nachos but they were very salty to me. It was pretty average, but served it's purpose. If I stayed at the hotel again I'd return. read more

don't get fooled by the menu online. They don't have pizza. Would it hurt them to make a dish or two for vegetarians. I am surprised how limited the menu was during stay at Gaylord. The food... :( Buttermilk chicken - someone busted out a box cutter blade to slice that chicken as thin as they could likely getting 3 - 4 sandwiches out of one chicken breast, multiple chicken chips were tossed onto a bun. The chicken was fried too hot and in old oil it literally had black burn marks on my three chicken chips. Inedible. We stayed at the Hyatt Place during a trip to the National Harbor. The Hotel and staff were wonderful. Bar Harbor was horrible. Everything shuts down by 10pm during the weekend except for Bar Harbor which stays open until 11pm. The restaurant is chic and gives an upscale vibe until you look at the menu and experience the service. We stayed at the hotel for 5 days and as we were coming and going the restaurant was never really busy, probably due to the plethora of other restaurants and bars all on the same street with quality food and drinks. On Saturday night we decided to stop at the bar before heading up to our room at around 10 pm, since everything else was closed. Based on the selection of liquor it would be wise to stick with the basics. There were 2 young men behind the bar and before we sat down 3 people who were all together were the only patrons who already had drinks. My husband and I sat there for about 10 minutes without even being greeted watching the two trying to figure out how to make a drink. Ready to eat, we started with the slider appetizers that came with a nice quantity of fries. Not to overlook the shrimp appetizer, we ordered those too. All were great! The sliders were nicely seasoned and the shrimp were plump and fried perfectly. While I probably could've stopped there, we'd heard the chicken sandwich was good so yeah..we got that AND steak tacos. The steak tacos could've stayed out of the equation. The meat tasted like it came from frozen and the seasoning was forgotten. It was bland. Located in the Hyatt, it has some nice indoor and outdoor seating a little close to the water. Note that happy hour ends at about 6pm so get in a little early if you'd like to take advantage of it. Would recommend you make a reservation before stopping by, as it and other establishments in the National harbor area can get pretty busy on Friday nights/weekends. The menu is quite extensive there were lots of food options. We started with the wings and calamari, both tasty but also comparable to what you'd get in a typical bar. The buttermilk chicken sandwich was also tasty but my favorite was the chicken cheese ravioli pasta. The portions were decent, not excessive and you could probably finish it in one go. Our waiter was super sweet, but service was a little slow because it got a little busy as the night went on. Our server, Maurice, did a great job and was very accommodating from the moment we sat down until when we left. There is a full bar with TVs, and it wasn't packed during Sunday Night Football which is always a plus for me. Plenty of seating with booths and couches. The food was pretty good as well. We ordered the chicken nachos and the buffalo wings for our starters (which are pictured in this review). Both were pretty good options, I would order them again if I were to return. For our entrees, we had the breakfast burger (just a burger with a fried egg on it) and the ravioli. Both were good choices. All in all, a nice place to consider when in the area. read more

So I recently visited Bar Harbor today which is located in the Hyatt at the National Harbor, right across the street from the Silver Dinner. The food was decent. I had the sweet and spicy shrimp. There were 5 jumbo fried shrimp that were glazed with some type of sauce. There was no dipping sauce and it would have been better with a dipping sauce. Now the service was great with Maurice at the bar. He was pleasant and paid great attention to me. So the service was not the issue. The bathrooms were also cleaned and so was the bar. But the food was the issue abd the advertisement in the time for happy hour was the issue. So the flag outside said that hh was 4 to 7 but it ended at 6. I mentioned that to Maurice and he said they have to take the flag down. But what in the world. Why advertise something that is untruthful and a blatant lie to customers. Just my observations. And the food needs some work and they didn't have liquor on happy hour, only wine and beer. I would recommend new chefs and truthful and honest advertising of their hh times. Phenomenal service! We made reservations last minute with Chef Moore for 18 people and he willingly accepted our reservation and accommodated our party! He kept coming out to check on us and our hosts were also great! We received our food in sections and for the most part, everyone ate at the same time! The food was delicious and the place overall seemed really nice! Our area was clean; there were tvs around to keep us entertained and overall we all enjoyed our experience! They built a new Hyatt hotel at the National harbor and it has this restaurant across from the lobby. Really nice ambiance when you walk in (perfect for a little date) and a really cool oval shaped bar. There aren't many food choices on the menu, but what I got was pretty good. Started with the calamari and ended up ordering their burger. The drinks were made well and I left pretty content. We were in town celebrating for my gf's birthdays. Drinks took forever to get to us , food was decent but cold had to send it back, the servers were trash . Completed disrespect, clearly didn't want a good tip. Then after requesting for a manager , made smart remarks and comments . Manager came , he didn't do anything. We had an average experience at Bar Harbor. This is the kind of place I would go for convenience and a nice atmosphere if I were staying at the hotel (it's in the Hyatt), but I would not go out of my way to go there. The staff were very good but they were clearly understaffed. The 3 ladies working at the bar were also waiting on all the tables in the restaurant and were spread too thin. It took a long time to get service and drinks. We got cocktails which weren't great. I would get wine next time instesd. The pizza was good. The patio, which is the main drawn, was closed for a private event. They have another patio that in front but they don't provide table service out there. I have to say I was a little disappointed coming here even though the set up is beautiful. We came here on Valentine's Day for dinner and got the crab cake sandwich, side of fries, 2 Pepsi's, a beer and a Harbor's Edge. For dessert we had the cheesecake brûlée which was good. Food: 5/10 - I just felt like the crab cake was very soggy and basically fell apart on the bun. It came with old bay fries which is basically what saved it. The plate also comes with a side of tartar sauce and ketchup. Drinks: 8.5/10 - drinks were a little strong for me and my boyfriend but still really good, the atmosphere for drinks is amazing here as well. Service: We waited for about 10 minutes before anyone actually attended us to sit even though there was no line and it wasn't very packed either. Our server was kind but you could definitely tell she was frazzled because she forgot multiple items from our order and was short-sprinting around to tables a few times. What I was really disappointed with was that even though we weren't upset that we had to wait for long period of time, at the end when we put our card out for her we didn't see her so naturally we didn't say anything and when we did see her she was attending other tables so we decided to wait. When she came to the table she said "y'all didn't even say nothing" took our card, walked to the register and said it louder to which the bartender asked what happened.. I attended a business dinner at Bar Harbor on 6/5/23 and unfortunately it wasn't a great experience. The salmon I ordered was extremely bland along with the bed of rice and spinach that it came with. I ended up not eating it and the bartender/server (she was doing both) took it off our ticket which I appreciate. I decided to just eat some wings from a friend but those unfortunately took way too long (over an hour) to come out. We were given more wings as a courtesy for the delay but we spent over 2 hours here for no reason. We found the place to be severely understaffed. Went there about two months ago and though they didn't have a couple of the things listed on the menu, the breakfast burger was great so were the nachos and the fries were absolutely the best. We went there yesterday and they had no nachos, they'd changed the fries to something that barely approached average and, as described by my ten-year-old, "the Mac and cheese used to be noodles and gooey cheese, but now it's just some Kraft Mac and Cheese with a gob of cheese on top". We love National Harbor, but this restaurant won't be one of our stops on our following visits to National Harbor any more. We had an early dinner elsewhere but was still craving something...just appetizers. The food was tasty! We ordered the spicy shrimp, a personal cheese pizza and a a harbor burger. How..how did this bar get a five star rating?? The three staff members that they have working their bar area all look confused af. And the running...running..two of the staff members were running from one end of the bar to the other like they were slammed..there was like legit ten people in there total and everyone had what they needed for the most part but the staff seemed super frazzled for no reason..and the wings..probably about three different customers complaining about their wing order getting messed up or how they've waited awhile for them. The bartender is a heavy pourer that puts 4 shots in every drink she makes..drinks are a little too strong that they're not that enjoyable for me at least. Ordered the fried avocado bites...they were flavorless and tasted like they were just some frozen crap from a store. The sliders we received were an absolute joke. Smashed buns and zero presentation. My salmon and steamed veggies were cooked fine but lacked seasoning across the board.
