The food here is fantastic but we'll get to that in a minute, but there is one person that contributed to a wonderful experience this morning at good stuff and that gentleman is Abby. He has been working here since 1985 and gives some of the best service I've ever had in Los Angeles! He shares a kind, compassionate, attentive and intuitive care about each person he waits on and you can really feel his grandfatherly love that can't be simulated. It is an hour later and we are still talking about the Love we felt from him today that got our day off to a great start! I believe he only works mornings through lunch and is a rare sever in the best kind of way!! Now for the food. We came in for breakfast today and every good breakfast starts off with coffee. Their coffee is head and shoulders above your typical restaurant coffee and they kept it coming (and Abby even gave us to-go coffee at the end). I got the Carne Asada & eggs ($16) which was 8oz of carne asada, 2 fresh eggs, brown rice, fresh guacamole and pico de gallo and warm corn tortillas. It was really good and filled me up! My girlfriend was craving their perfectly crispy bacon so she got the bacon and eggs ($11.30) which generously came with 5 pieces of the delicious bacon she was craving - she was super happy! It also came with 2 eggs served however you like (she got them over easy & they were perfectly made), choice of either 2 whole wheat pancakes OR chef potatoes with toast or a freshly baked muffin. She substituted the potatoes for fresh fruit and got sourdough toast which was fantastic. It was plenty of food and she was very happy with her choice! The food alone was a 5 star meal, but the added energy and love of Abby brought a special magic to our breakfast that set the tone for a wonderful day! If you eat here and have the privilege of experiencing the beautiful service from Abby, please let him know you appreciate him because he brings something rare that we need more of out there!! A seriously delicious local burger spot that I wish I would've found sooner. Everything was high-quality and had great flavors. It reminded me a lot of Farmer Boys because the patties were large, the veggies were fresh and crisp and it had very similar flavors. Service was fast and friendly and the pricing is very fair. There is a free parking lot attached so it is a really quick and convenient lunch or dinner option. They don't have outdoor seating but plenty of indoor tables but most people choose to take it to go, which is what we did. For the first visit I chose the Buffalo Burger with avocado and cheese and thought it was fantastic. The buffalo patty was very lean but filled with flavor and the french fries on the side were a good call and I would not recommend missing them. We also ordered a Mahi Sandwich and the fish was cooked perfectly and had a lot of flavor. Overall, I was impressed with the meal and would definitely come back again soon. read more

Many years ago, this was the Original GOOD STUFF restaurant which I loved, but recently when I went here, things were different! The logo looks the same, but they added "burgers" to the name.This should of been my CLUE. The murals are the same, and still say locations in Hermosa, Redondo, and Palos Verdes. This is false advertisement. This restaurant is pay and order at the counter and find a table. The menu is totally different. There was no air conditioning. The bathroom was dirty. My burger and fries were just okay. I was confused at how vastly different this place was to the Good Stuff I remembered, and now I know why. I would not recommend coming here if you think this is the same restaurant as Good Stuff. However, if you come here without any expectations, the food is sufficient, reasonably priced. read more

Stumbled on this place while shopping and boy am I glad I did! This unassuming burger stand in a strip mall is a real hidden gem! I daresay it is even worth a special trip just to eat here. Parking is in a strip mall lot, there was plenty available when we visited but I could see it possibly getting crowded. There is meter parking in the street. This place is 'blink and you'll miss it', so keep your eyes peeled. It shares a parking log with a Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf and a Jersey Mike's sub store if that helps you locate it. Good Stuff Burgers is counters service, so walk on up and don't be shy! The folks behind the counter are extremely friendly and helpful, and will answer any questions you have. They have a large menu and some vegetarian options, so this is great to keep in mind if you're hankering for a burger and have some vegetarians in your party, this place is perfect! I know it has been mentioned in the other reviews but it bears repeating, the onion rings here are amazing! Fries are also really good. Getting down to the burgers, there is a huge selection. I ended up getting the Western and my son just got the original Good Stuff burger... both were big hits. Great flavor, everything tasted fresh. I want to come back and try some of their other offerings. The owner was very kind, and personally dropped off my order at my table. He was very attentive. He made sure to check on me & when I left he said goodbye and wished me well. The burger was very hefty. The ingredients were quality, but the burger Patty needed more seasoning. I was disappointed about that. The onion rings were ok, & the side of ranch was pretty good. Probably the most solid and dependable burger spot on the west side. Been coming here for many years and it always knocks it out of the park. Nothing fancy, just a well crafted sandwich or salad. We like the Good Stuff locations in the South Bay and this one appears to be related but their menu is slightly different. Although we prefer the locations/food in the South Bay overall, this West LA location is still worth a visit if nearby. We ordered the mahi sandwich, turkey club and a side of zucchini parmesan. The grilled mahi was well-seasoned and tender and served on a soft potato bun. The turkey club was well seasoned without being overly salty. The zucchini parmesan was a bit of a disappointment as it was cut thinly so the breading took over the taste of the actual zucchini. With that said, the owner is very friendly, helpful, accommodating and attentive thus the extra star. He seemed to know the regular customers by name. read more
