Stopped by for a pick-me-up while spectating the coladas marathon as this place was right at the halfway point for the runners and the best place to see my friend run by! It was really yummy - a tiny little place with about 3 two-top tables and an order-first at the counter format. I was lucky to beat the crowd, the second i ordered and sat down i turned around and there was a line out the door. I tried the sausage egg and cheese English muffin and an iced coffee. We stopped by after picking up our cookie order from next door at Uneven Cracker Catering and it's a trendy little neighborhood coffee shop. The decor is quite fun. First off, staff is friendly and there were plenty of seats for a small space. I had the matcha and it was pretty good. It wasn't too milky and you can taste the matcha. Usually matcha at coffee shops are a hit or miss but they do a pretty good job here. Breakfast burrito was also quite tasty as well. read more

Savageau was a bit challenging to get to with the road construction but the friendly smiles when we entered was worth it. Super clean and friendly staff. Several ice cream selections and coffee option... we went for coffee and walked out with coffee shakes. One made with vanilla bean and the other with butterscotch and both were a tasty treat! Kate, our barista, was terrific! She was very nice and informative. Savageau serves Huck coffee (our favorite). The medium latte was delicious with the thickest foam I have experienced to date. The stirrer stood up in the foam by itself! The cups are attractive and keep your beverage hotter longer. I never experienced that either. The shop is cozy and comfortable, but the back patio is the best secret in Denver. It is hidden, spacious, with fantastic seating, and gorgeous! The ham and cheese croissant was buttery, with delicious ham. They also sell Sweet Action Ice Cream. I took home the chocolate brownie and lemon sorbet. You can also ask for a coffee with vanilla ice cream!!! Don't let the construction on Colfax stop you from going to this wonderful cafe. Park on the side streets and be sure to walk along that section of Colfax and York to experience fascinating and unique shops. read more

Popped in after an early dinner looking for a sweet and we opted for coffee drinks. The cappuccino was very sold and the espresso hot and fresh. They use Huckleberry coffee, a local favorite. Charming quaint coffee shop with an interesting cafe style menu we will be back to explore. I am a member at the Sie with the Denver Film club and I am SO glad I discovered this place! I was seeing movies at the Sie and they don't have coffee or ice cream so they let you bring it in with you. Savageau is on my way to the Sie and now I make it a regular stop right before any move at the Sie on Colfax. Espresso affogato with my choice of DELICIOUS ice cream. I roll UP and meter park RIGHT out front - run in, get my fix and carry on my way to the Sie! LOVE this new routine! Weirdly, it is still Colfax. So my first time in to this shop there was like a big hunting knife open and astray on the counter area on the left and then on the right was a guy who seemed really high out of his mind talking to..idk who and then the barista guy who was just trying to do his job and seemed kind of unclear on comfort levels with the guy who was just talking to the air. Dumbly, I was like - IS THIS YOUR KNIFE? to the possibly high guy and he said YEahhhhhh... and thanked me profusely. Hm.. didn't think that one through. The barista just looked at me. Yeah. Ordered my affogato, felt weird and was OUTTA there. But the super quality affogato was delicious and I ate it as I watched Thelma at the Sie. I've been there several times now and the people that work there are super nice and the affogatos are high quality consistently every time! I love watching the espresso crema come out of the machine. If you want to take a break from the busy street of Colfax and relax in a quaint cafe, then go here. In the southwest corner of Colfax and York stands this super cute coffee shop that offers 6 flavors of ice cream on top of the coffees and teas. What impressed me upon stepping into this cafe was the super warm greeting by two male and female workers. Their kind tones manifested in their voices reflected that this is a place where EVERYONE is welcomed. They answered a few of my questions before deciding on the Cortado that's not even on the menu. They then asked me what kind of milk I wore want in my coffee instead of picking whatever milk on their mind. I appreciated this little attention to detail. Prices are not insane here (my Cortado was $4 with some change.) The menu is just the right size. I appreciate a lot of offerings but sometimes that can be too overweight. To be frank, my Cortado tasted okay. Maybe I should have asked for the whole mild instead of 2%. It tasted like something was lacking although it was much needed stimulation in the mid afternoon and it truly hit the spot. Overall I enjoyed this super tiny business. It's nice to know ow that it exists to serve the people who live on this street that never sleeps. Nice discovery for sure! read more

Cute little coffee & ice cream place in a great neighborhood. I came with friends while visiting from out of town. Was happy to see a vegan option (cookies & cream) but I only had a sample. It was very good but a little too sweet/rich for me (I'm not a big ice cream person). The person behind the counter was happy to me & my friends hang out for a while (long enough for the other friend with us to also decide she needed ice cream - they had brown sugar banana and French chocolate between them and said they were both really good. Service was very friendly. We'll have to check out their little garden/courtyard the next time! read more

Savageau Coffee and Ice Cream was alright. My drink and pasty were mediocre, but the atmosphere and service were lovely. I visited Savageau around 4 p.m. on a Thursday with four other guests. Only one barista was working and the coffee shop was nearly empty. I ordered an iced chai latte and cream cheese danish. The chai latte was more milk than chai and was a bit grainy. The pastry was alright, but it was nothing to write home about. I wish I would have tried the ice cream. It looked yummy. The atmosphere of Savageau is very cute! There isn't much seating inside, but the walls are covered in various shaped mirrors, perfect for photos. The singular barista was also so sweet and thoughtful. She made sure, several times, that our drinks were up to our standards. I don't think I'd visit Savageau again, personally. read more

The barista convinced me to try the affogato here and WOW I'm not sure, I will ever look at expresso the same way again! This delicious concoction is simply expresso poured over ice cream and it make a sweet and creamy pick me up. It is served in a small bowl, but actually think a cup and a straw would work well on warm days since you can drink it once it melts. My husband also enjoyed his drip coffee and we both loved sitting on the sunny patio with our dog. Such a fun place for coffee, ice cream or both! read more

I was waiting for my daughter and her SO and saw this shop a few doors down from where they went in. We promptly went over upon their return. A nice small place with a totally laidback vibe! The young man behind the counter was helpful friendly and chill. The ice cream was very reasonably priced and delicious. I had a 2 scoop cup with French chocolate and vanilla bean. Tasty ice cream, smooth and very flavorful. Other patrons were there, but never felt rushed or crowded. Would certainly return when back in the area. read more
