The narration was informative, and seeing the massive cargo ships and waterfront activity was a unique experience. The boat was spacious, with both indoor seating and outdoor viewing areas. We ordered the chicken tenders and fries, and they were surprisingly good--definitely above average for food on a sightseeing cruise. We also opted for the 42 oz souvenir drink, which was well worth it if you plan on enjoying a few drinks during the cruise. It lasts the full three-hour experience, and the bartender was fantastic--friendly, personable, and made a great drink. Unfortunately, it rained during part of our cruise, which likely impacted the experience since we couldn't spend as much time outside taking in the views. Of course, the weather isn't something the company can control, and there was plenty of indoor seating to stay comfortable. Overall, this was a fun and worthwhile experience that I'd recommend to first-time visitors, couples, and families. Between the scenic views, interesting narration, better-than-expected food, and excellent bar service, it was an enjoyable way to spend a few hours on the Savannah River. I'd definitely return--hopefully on a sunny day next time.

There was some history mixed in along the way, which was interesting, and the whole experience was relaxing. The food was probably the weakest part for me. It was served buffet style with fried chicken, mac and cheese, mashed potatoes and gravy, plus fruit. It wasn't bad, but it was all pretty lukewarm and just didn't leave much of an impression. That said, I don't think people are booking this for the food anyway. You're booking it for the views, the boat, and the experience. We had fun, enjoyed the ride, and I'm glad we did it.

From the moment we set off, Bryan's energy, knowledge, and sense of fun made the trip something truly special. We went shark tooth hunting (and found A LOT!), got an awesome history lesson along the way, and explored beautiful Daufuskie Island. Bryan is not only an incredible captain but also a fantastic guide who made the entire experience engaging and memorable for the whole family. Finding him and the boat was easy and he was ready to go. We took advantage of the cooler on board and thanks for the blanket because it did get cold once the sun set. We learned a lot about the Savannah waterways and history but at the same time we also got to just sit and take in the incredible sunset and dolphins. You can tell he just loves doing this! So, I'm feeling generous so I'm going to give three stars because it was a beautiful day, the boat…read morewas intact and clean, and our guide was friendly. However. It was yawn burger with a side of snores as my kids say. And that in consideration of the price deserves an honest review here. It was about $300 for two hours of a slow boat ride around the marshals where the only thing pointed out to us was an old beautiful hotel that the mob used to that used to smuggle liquor up and down the coast (which we initiated the conversation on, asking about it). The rest of the tour our kids wrestled and joked with each other on the front of the boat and we just enjoy the view of the beautiful houses. We've done many boat tours in different locations and normally there's some sort of discussion about the history or sightseeing the local birds/animals or the ecosystem of the area... None of this occurred. And that would be fine too, except we were told "there's a 90% chance you'll see dolphins" when we made the phone call to schedule, and one of our children was pretty excited about that. We had a good time because we're positive happy group of people but they need to turn the dial way up on this experience for families.

We paid $150/hour, and booked a two hour pontoon tour for Friday at 1pm. It was fantastic ! We had 2 captains on our pontoon boat tour, one of whom was Captain Mike, (I'm so sorry, I'm blanking on the other name!) They were both super pleasant and knowledgeable - also good humored as we blasted music over their speakers and danced around on the boat. When we weren't jamming out to TLC or Brittney they spoke to us about natural marshes, the landscape, dolphins, and geography of the area. They even let our Bride to be drive the boat for a little bit! We were allowed to bring anything with us on the boat, they encouraged it! We packed lunches and brought booze/waters as well - a definite must-do because it made the experience so much more enjoyable! The pontoon was covered, which I must admit being slightly disappointed to see - was hoping for lots of sun exposure, but it was still so much fun! Would definitely recommend bringing along a sweatshirt or jacket, it gets really windy on the water! There is a bathroom on the boat, but I thankfully didn't need to use it - there are clean bathrooms back at the marina.
