We met him at a nice marina on Wilmington Island and he took us everywhere. Our favorite spot was the historic Daufuskie island. You can only get there by boat. It was about an hour long, super relaxing ride there. We all laid out on the front of the boat and caught some sun before arriving at this secluded island. Rented a golf cart and rode around with our drinks. Saw some great property, unique animals, super creepy burial grounds, and learned a ton of history from the natives. Marshside mamas had some delicious food and a live band. All around a wonderful time and not as expensive as you might think!

Our trip was filled with a lot of rain, but we were so thankful to have a morning like this. The boat ride was magical. Captain Seth told us all about the area, the community, the wildlife and more. We enjoyed fresh pastries before heading further out. We got to explore a sandbar filled with pelicans and other majestic birds. We got to see dolphins---something Seth kept us out longer to make sure we got to experience. He dropped us off closer to a coffee shop and gave us tips on what to explore on Tybee. We were so thankful for this portion of our trip. I cannot suggest this enough. We were to glad we included this in our 3 day itinerary.

They were SO knowledgeable about the area and such fun to chat with on a beautiful March day. We went to two different beaches, and Jamie helped us find probably 40 shark teeth of all sizes. It was amazing - I truly cannot believe we found so many. On the second beach, Malcolm showed us the coolest fossils I never would've even noticed, like a camel tooth from thousands of years ago and bottles left over from the prohibition era. It was an absolute blast and a must-do with family, friends, or partners. I am six months pregnant and had a totally fine time, so this would be an amazing trip with kids too. We loved seeing Hopper the dolphin, also. Our guide, Kyle, was so knowledgeable and did a great job of explaining how the area has changed and the importance of the marshes. We all had such a wonderful time on the boat and with Kyle. The kids loves it when he'd turn on the "air conditioning" by going faster. We will definitely be going with them again!

There was some history mixed in along the way, which was interesting, and the whole experience was relaxing. The food was probably the weakest part for me. It was served buffet style with fried chicken, mac and cheese, mashed potatoes and gravy, plus fruit. It wasn't bad, but it was all pretty lukewarm and just didn't leave much of an impression. That said, I don't think people are booking this for the food anyway. You're booking it for the views, the boat, and the experience. We had fun, enjoyed the ride, and I'm glad we did it.

I've already decided I'm not spending any more money after being greeted in that fashion. No drinks, no snacks, and no souvenirs. The narrator was knowledgeable, had a few jokes, and was tipped appropriately. The paddlers do not run. Two stars for a knowledgeable narrator and clean restrooms. Otherwise, this riverboat cruise is a big pass.

Finding him and the boat was easy and he was ready to go. We took advantage of the cooler on board and thanks for the blanket because it did get cold once the sun set. We learned a lot about the Savannah waterways and history but at the same time we also got to just sit and take in the incredible sunset and dolphins. You can tell he just loves doing this! PS we loved his music taste too :-)
