There was some history mixed in along the way, which was interesting, and the whole experience was relaxing. The food was probably the weakest part for me. It was served buffet style with fried chicken, mac and cheese, mashed potatoes and gravy, plus fruit. It wasn't bad, but it was all pretty lukewarm and just didn't leave much of an impression. That said, I don't think people are booking this for the food anyway. You're booking it for the views, the boat, and the experience. We had fun, enjoyed the ride, and I'm glad we did it.

I've already decided I'm not spending any more money after being greeted in that fashion. No drinks, no snacks, and no souvenirs. The narrator was knowledgeable, had a few jokes, and was tipped appropriately. The paddlers do not run. Two stars for a knowledgeable narrator and clean restrooms. Otherwise, this riverboat cruise is a big pass.

This is a wonderful option that the city of Savannah has for people to get around because driving in Savannah can get very congested. The staff were very helpful, but they also maintained and upheld boat safety. It's important to know what's going on in Savannah when you are there because if there's a big event at the convention center, get congested and you may be waiting over an hour to get on the ferry. There's a schedule that they have posted on their website, which is pretty accurate.

We loaded up and left promptly. She gave us some knowledge of the area on our way. She talked the entire way of lots of things we passed! We had a disabled person with a walker and she was very considerate and helped her get her walker on and off the trolley and made sure she was first on things and ahead of the group. She also had a cooler of free waters that I thought was very considerate! The itinerary was a bit different than the website I booked from. We went from their office to the boat ride, then lunch, then the lighthouse/beach area then dropped off people at their hotels and then back to their office. She said that the ticket was good for a couple days and that if you called them they would be there within 15 minutes and drop you off where you wanted within an area. While the tour information indicated there would be walking and some stair climbing, it didn't mention we would be walking up a steep hill covered with ballast from the riverfront back to the meeting point. After the tour, we realized that some personal belongings were lost and the staff at the store could not have been more helpful trying to track down our missing item.
