Wow! The charter boat was one of my favorite parts about our trip to Georgia! Seth was an amazing boat captain, guiding us through the marshes and even to the edge where the river meets the ocean so we could find dolphins. And we did find them! There were so many cool species of birds, and I loved watching the pelicans dive into the water for food. Seth dropped us off on a small private beach to walk, swim, and explore for about 30 minutes before picking us back up on the other side. The total tour was 3 hours long, and it was a great way to explore the island. To get to the dock you have to walk straight through the Crab Shack (near where the birds are). He can bring you right back here after, or, like for us, he dropped us off at the south beach on Tybee Island so we could walk to get lunch. Highly recommend!

Our boat trip with Crab Creek Charters was the highlight of our wonderful week in the Tybee / Savannah area. We booked The Little Tybee Trip online one day ahead, and received great instructions on what to bring and where to meet via email and text. We met the boat at The Crab Shack, and as we started navigating slowly through through the marsh we immediately spotted a mama and baby dolphin swimming around the waterway. We also spotted lots of other wildlife, including beautiful birds and jumping fish. Captain Seth was an excellent boat pilot with a mystifying ability to navigate the marsh. He shared lots of information about the area: the tides, the environment, and the wildlife. We enjoyed walking along the beach on Little Tybee and picking up buckets of shells and sand dollars. It was a wonderful excursion! My daughter said to give Captain Seth a ten star review!

Sunset in the marsh

Unbelievably awesome vacation memories! When we got in the car to leave, the kids and husband thanked me for finding this awesome tour. Feeling under-appreciated? A sunset boat trip through the marshes of Tybee and a long walk on a completely wild beach will fix you right up! We booked by phone with Captain Seth. (He did not introduce himself as Captain, but it feels right.) We met him at the Crab Shack dock, and he was ready with the correct sIze life jacket for our 12 yo. Here are the things I was worried about beforehand: 1- 3 hours would be too long; 2- what if Captain Seth was weird; and 3- a combination of 1&2. Thankfully our experience reinforced my self view, which is that I'm a complete, worrying, idiot. We started out at 5:30pm and snaked our way through the beautiful wetlands of the area. We saw egrets, heron, a bald eagle nest and kept our eyes out for The Others. (Who gets my Lost reference?) The area we traveled felt like something out of Lost, pre-Others, in that it's all innocent. Just nature's beauty. The sunlight glowing on the marsh waters as we meandered through tiny channels, close enough to reach out and touch the grasses. The salty breeze and rushing sound of the wind as we picked up speed. The kingfishers flying nearby and coolly turning 90 degrees to dive straight into the water. Nature slayed. Captain Seth piloted us to an island and suggested we drop a pin on Google maps. He showed us on the map where to meet him at the end of our walk. And then He. Left. Us. Alone on the beach. And motored off. We were castaways. It was freaking amazing. First off - zero ppl. Zero footprints, zero beach blenders, zero boom boxes blasting Macklemore on this beach. It was welcomingly desolate. There were shells Everywhere. Like giant gift shop shells. We took pictures. We explored. The kids were holding hands. It was magical. Pure dopamine. The moon rose one one side of the island and the sun started to hang low on the other. We found Captain Seth and he took some nice sunset pics of us. (On My phone bc he's not a weirdo). We gracefully slid onto the boat, ha!, and started back. Sunset in the marsh was gorgeous. It got dark as we pulled up, and I wished we had started the tour earlier so we could have had more than 3 hours.

Great time! Very relaxing. Little Tybee Island is a gem to be cherished. Shelling, birdwatching, scenery phenomenal. No one else on the beach Captain Seth's knowledge of the salt marshes and his respect for the ecosystem made for good conversation. What a great trip! Thank you Captain Seth!

Relaxing on the boat!

Seth was awesome! Great experience! Would recommend to anyone visiting Tybee! Best way to see the island!

Beautiful

Seth took us on a custom trip to see a bar-tailed godwit on a sandbar between wassaw island and ossabaw island.

Had a good time on the Savannah Riverboat Cruise…read more Honestly, the best part was being able to get out on the water, walk around the boat, and see Savannah from a different perspective. There was some history mixed in along the way, which was interesting, and the whole experience was relaxing. The food was probably the weakest part for me. It was served buffet style with fried chicken, mac and cheese, mashed potatoes and gravy, plus fruit. It wasn't bad, but it was all pretty lukewarm and just didn't leave much of an impression. That said, I don't think people are booking this for the food anyway. You're booking it for the views, the boat, and the experience. We had fun, enjoyed the ride, and I'm glad we did it.

Overrated. Upon…read morearrival, the ticket-taker did not greet us. He simply said, "Tickets." No, "Welcome aboard!", no "Glad you're cruising with us." and no "We're happy to see you. Where are you traveling from?" Nothing. No welcome or warm greeting. The next person wanted us to take a picture. For money, no doubt. No way. We're already not wanted, why would you want a picture? I've already decided I'm not spending any more money after being greeted in that fashion. No drinks, no snacks, and no souvenirs. The narrator was knowledgeable, had a few jokes, and was tipped appropriately. The paddlers do not run. Two stars for a knowledgeable narrator and clean restrooms. Otherwise, this riverboat cruise is a big pass.
