We always have great service but I want to say a special thank you to Vincent. We forgot to mark our sprinkler heads for the aeration service. Vincent still managed to get the job done without any damage. He also had to move our patio furniture because we forgot to do that as well and instead of stating he would have to come back at another time, he moved the furniture and got the service done. These guys were great. They took down a small tree for a third the price another guy--who I also reviewed--charged me to "trim" it (He basically did nothing.), and they did a way better job of cleaning up after themselves and were very pleasant and fast. read more

I've been using Mountain High Tree for three years now to perform lawn and tree maintenance. I've always been impressed with their professionalism and service, but want to give a shout out today to John and Travis, who visited my house yesterday to spray my spruce trees for IPS Engraver Beetles. They took the time to move my sectional patio furniture several feet away to make sure they could fully treat one of the trees and prevent any cast-off spray from hitting my furniture. I have a huge elm that needed a big trim. I called 4 companies and chose Mountain because they were very knowledgeable and gave one of the lowest bids. The salesperson, Terry, spoke with me several times to answer questions and even came out the day of the trim. The crew was excellent and did a great job. read more

In response to company response written... I did not call in an emergency tree trim due to weather. Yes the home was my listing and scheduled to close the following week after the recent snow and yes there was a broken tree limb. The limb in question did not require a ladder or even a chain saw to trim it off. I explained all of this in the phone call. The company said that due to the storm they were booked out 6 weeks. I asked if they would be able to squeeze one branch into their schedule and they said quote "Yes but it would be $200 just to show up to the property". I find it appalling that companies gauge people for anything out of the normal. He simply could have said that they could not make the time frame and had no room to sqeeze it in and I would have been onnmy way. But again its disturbing that out of the several companies I called, this is the only company who said 200.00 just to show up. This leads me to believe that this company is unethical and I will not do buisness with and will not refer them to any of my colleagues. read more

Very honest, competent and fair. Left job site clean. Pricing was fair and competitive for tree trimming and they were judicious but thorough. Felt like they were a bit overbooked this summer due to the spring storms that caused a lot of tree damage, so they were a bit slow to get back to us to do the work, but they were better than the other companies we contacted read more

Mountain High helped me with landscaping in my front yard. I had a fairly modest budget for what needed to be done, so they really worked with me to design gardens that I could continue to add to a little at a time over the years. They also were able to upgrade my sprinkler heads to the water-saving rotating type. One of the trees was looking a little spindly, so they replaced it for me last summer. Don't trust these people. I asked them to cure my elm tree which drips a sugary sap on our cars. They claim I asked them to spray for aphids. When the technician came he sprayed only a small rose bush and a medium sized aspen tree. The note he left mentioned only these two things, but I couldn't believe he had not sprayed the elm. I called because of course the problem was not fixed. They said the problem with my tree is scale and I had not asked them to treat for that, so they hadn't, and then gave me an expensive bid to fix the scale. According to them I was supposed to know what was wrong with my tree and order the correct treatment. And they have no problem charging a great deal of money to spray a tree and a bush I could easily have sprayed with my garden hose. read more

Mountain High delivered from the beginning with responsive scheduling, to speaking with an arborist, to showing up on time, to great pruning of a 60ish year old silver maple and other trimming, to miscelleneous advice about mulching, fertilizing, watering, etc - I was very satisfied and would recommend Mountain High to anyone. read more

Mountain High has done our tree trimming for a number of years. They have always done an excellent job and we really recommend this company. We talk to our arborist Dave a couple of times a year and he knows the property very well. In an emergency, Dave is here the same day. We really respect them and depend on them to address on going tree maintenance, new tree planting and emergency care after a big snow or wind storm. Everyone I dealt with was extremely friendly and great with follow up. I got estimates from 3 companies and Mountain High Tree was the most reasonable. I had somewhat of an emergency and they did everything they could to get the job done as soon as possible. Unfortunately they were in the hands of Excel for a loop drop which delayed things. This review is in addition to the one written previously. My contractor discovered that the water feature was placed too close to my foundation. The water was splashing onto the ledge where the brick was laid on the foundation. Because the water was standing on the foundation, the water was seeping through into the inside of my home. I had asked the employee who placed the water feature, if this would be a problem when I noticed that the water was splashing onto the foundation. He assured me that it would not. I wondered then if he should have put a piece of flashing or, at the very least, caulking where the water feature was placed. I have written the owner, reported this company to the Better Business Bureau, and still have heard nothing. This company reminds me of a terrorist organization hiding behind there masks. They are cowards and have no intention of taking responsibility for any of this. So I am writing to warn anyone who is considering calling this company to stay clear. Taking advantage of widows and senior citizens is bad business. And this company is bad business! I am sure that this review will not put this company out of business, however, if it deters even a few potential customers, my work here has accomplished what it was meant too. Hire this company at your own risk. I do not wish anyone the frustration, damage and expense, that this company has caused me. read more

I had a terrible experience with this company. We sought them for landscaping services based on some attractive landscaping photos and testimonials on their website. We had a pretty clear idea of our landscaping plan and were ready to finalize with a landscaping company, pay a significant sum ($50K), and have the work done. I thought Mountain High was the right choice. I couldn't have been more wrong. They should never have advertised landscaping services when, in reality, they were unable to perform any landscaping services whatsoever. I met our first designer early 2015 and our plan was to embark upon the actual landscaping in late June. However, things kind of dragged along with the designer and it was hard and frustrating to bring things to fruition. There were many meetings and phone calls involved, and as instructed, we embarked on our own flagstone hunt, which was time-consuming. I had every indication that the work would finally begin in early July. This was later than I'd hoped, but we were just ready & excited for it to actually happen. Next thing I know, our designer was laid off! Not good. So I was then placed with another designer and had to basically explain everything from square one, which was, again, involved and time-consuming. However, he did seem knowledgeable and our hope was just to move forward. He presented an improved design to me only to tell me that, for various reasons, he would be leaving the company the following week. This was very disappointing and worrisome in that he obviously wouldn't be available to oversee our install/landscaping to make sure all went according to plan, as is usually the case. Further, there were various details that weren't clear to him from the previous designer, but he offered to clarify these matters before leaving the company. That didn't happen. Once he left, we were told that the landscaping division was being "phased" out, but to please use their other tree & lawn services in the future etc. Clearly, they do not "get it". NO WAY would I contact them ever again after they wasted so much of my time and energy! It's now late August and we were left "high & dry" after a great deal of time invested, effort, and futile promises. To think that I wasted so much time dinking around with this company, twice thinking we were just on the cusp of getting the job done, when in fact nothing was going to happen whatsoever, has been incredibly annoying, frustrating, and draining. I don't normally write reviews, but this is warranted. read more
