New flooring and new refrigerated cases
    Roger Y.

The antiquated open refrigeration shelves have been replaced by sleek new cases with doors in a recent remodeling completed the past couple months. Not only do they look more attractive, they are more energy efficient too I bet. The dark laminate flooring is also new. Sushi is added to the deli section. Transparent partitions are placed between self checkout registers. This is not my go to everyday grocery store but it is still very nice to see improvements in a local business.

Don't always have the cheapest prices but overall it is just as effective as the two safe ways in down.

Great place to save and I really appreciate a clean place and wide aisles. Everyone I know recommends this place.

Kim's Mart is a medium sized Asian grocery store or a large Asian convenience store in downtown…read moreDavis. $5 credit card minimum, cash, or debit card payment. You can find some fresh produce, like Chinese Broccoli (gai lan), green onions, lettuce, cabbage, bean sprouts, and Korean radish. You can find frozen sliced meat for Hot Pot. There are aisles of Asian snacks and instant noodles. I saw a section of crunchy chili garlic and an aisle with Japanese curry blocks. There are fridges of prepackaged banchan or Korean appetizers. I also found $3.99 Vegetable Japchae in another fridge. You can also find packages of frozen Korean dumplings, tteokbokki, and potato mozzarella corn dogs. I heard customers talking about what they usually buy there and another customer expressing gratitude for the store being there. You can find a little bit of every Asian ingredient here.

Store was clean, I did find a larger variety of Soju than I normally have seen , so I picked up a bottle of the Melon Soju for $5.50, which seems about par for prices I have seen in other stores for other Soju. I also bought a couple of 10 packs of snacking Nori that were on sale for $4 The counter was staffed by a couple of young adults , seemed maybe college age, who asked if I found what I was looking for . They were pleasant, friendly and helpful.

Only complaint is that pies aren't bigger. I've been going here for a couple years now and I could…read morehave sworn the pies I bought when I first went there were 10". The boxes they use are definitely big enough for 10" pies, but they currently sell 9" pies (for $30). The pies are excellent, don't get me wrong. But I drive up from southern california and I'd like to take back a bigger pie, even if it's for more money.

Theres sooo much hype about this place so we went to go try!!…read more Its in very rural davis-ish. Its like a plot of dirt then the lil stand. They have their famous pies as well as produce and some other stuff, but its a very small shop with like 4 tables outdoors. Def a stop on your way somewhere, not necessarily a destination. Their pie slices were like $8 a slice and a whole pie was $30. They also had many more options for whole pies vs pie slices, but its possible its because we went later in the day? They had some savory pies, cold pies, but mostly baked pies like peach, various berries, etc! They also have fruit freezes you can purchase too! We ended up sharing a banana cream pie and i got a peach pie too. The banana cream pie was HEFTY. It was HEAVY and PACKEDDDD. A LOT of cream a LOT of banana filling. Very yummy though and feeds a lot more people than you'd think. The peach pie was also very good! Im not a huge "cooked fruit" person and neither is mt family but we demolished the pie. The peaches were a surprisingly nice texture! And the crust was very good. $30 is a bit steep but if theyre using fresh fruits and baking them fresh its worth a stop if youre in the area!
