6/12/24 today I was at check out and normally I don't have any issues but today as I was scanning the machine didn't pick up items which I didn't notice and to be specific an employee name "GINA" Came to help at least that's what I thought. Little did I know I would have felt accused of stealing from this lady as she stood telling me that i had "more items not scanned then scanned" which is completely wrong when she had my recipes in front of her going through each item. She said we had two missing items and started handling the goods purchased aggressive and made a clip break off something I had purchased. I was upset because of the accusations and aggressiveness that was given. I didn't run out with items didn't say I wasn't going to pay for em. She then visibly got upset because I wasn't happy with the service of this person and went to say "I can get the manager" on me like as if I was trying to steal. AGAIN two accusations I should of told the manager on her. The manager didn't even look out way or say a word. Definitely don't think this person should be in the front if they can't handle themselves professionally or emotionally. Please consider re-training or retail classes. I hope next time I won't feel victimized. read more

Compared to the Salvation Army on Magnolia? This place is the Ritz. This Savers store blows away the La Mirada and Anaheim Savers stores as far as size. I was shocked at how big it is. The housewares section is nice and has much less useless junk in it than your average Salvation Army or Goodwill. Cute vintage stuff like dishes, vases, tins, or candleholders abound. I noticed quite a few 80's country goose decor and kitchen items. When the hipsters decide geese are "in" instead of owls, this is the place where they should come. My major beef with this store: the children's clothing area is really in trouble. It is only organized by "boy" and "girl" and the pants on the bottom. There is no rhyme or reason to the organization of the clothes, and that's a huge problem because the sheer amount of clothing is insane and you feel like you will never find what you need. The store really needs to divide the clothing by size, because it makes no sense to try and find the size you need in this mess. The clothes are well-organized for adults, but searching for a size 9 months in racks that have everything from newborn to size 5 years, it's like a tiny needle in a freaking haystack. That said, you can sometimes find very nice Old Navy, Gymboree, Baby Gap, and Children's Place clothes here. It is clean and not very rowdy or crowded compared to other area thrift stores. Savers employees are friendly and helpful and generally available to help you in my experience. They have never done me wrong. On some holidays, like Memorial Day, Martin Luther King Jr, Labor Day, all clothes are 50% off. Check their website. The Anaheim Savers is popular because of their Yelp Check-in that allows you 20% off your purchase, this store needs to implement that! It will help people who search for deals nearby find the store. The only reason more ppeople are not here is, no one knows about the store or what it is yet. Organize kids' clothes by size and 20% off check in deal, and I would give 5 stars! read more

I have gone to this savers a few time and 2 times there was an issue with their pricing according to them so they refused to sell me their items because according to them what it rang up as just couldn't be the actual price even though it was tagged and ticketed on the item as the price it rang up as. I decided to shop for a couple of t-shirts after work last week and was very happy with the selection I was presented with. Just like with any thrift store, you're gonna have to look for a little bit to find something you like. I got about five items for maybe $25 give or take, and they were all amazing quality. I was also helped out by a very nice guy at the register. Everyone seemed very friendly when I walked in. Honestly, I haven't had customer service that great in a while lol read more

Don't like the treatment o received as a customer! Didn't know there was self check registers. Haven't shopped at Savers in awhile. Yes prices went up but I'm picky too if something is just too much I won't buy it. If it has a stain I'm not paying $8 dollars for some sweatshirt just because it says Vans on it. As for the customer service it's gone down... I felt like I wasn't important when the self check wasn't working. I also had a backpack. And I left it with them had not a problem with it was just surprised by the policy then had to stand there looking at the manager for a few while she ran around, just to get it back. The store needs more security.. please the least you could do is respect the customer and give back their backpack after they bought things in your store. Customer appreciation goes far.. read more

I've been donating to this location for years and have always been greeted by very friendly employees. The last time I came here I dropped off some furniture and was turned away by a very rude young man, he wouldn't accept my bookshelf because it had been painted even though it was solid oak wood. He said it was ugly and no one would buy it (jokes on him because I posted it to Craigslist that day and sold it for $5). Decided to drop off some more donations on 1/11 and noticed they were very full, donations were overflowing onto the walkway and there were multiple employees sorting and carrying boxes inside. The brightly colored hair lady saw me, sighed, and said "great, they just won't stop coming" and walked over to my car. They didn't have any carts so she told me I could hand her the boxes and framed art. Most of my items are family "collectibles & antiques" that aren't worth much but are in pristine condition and frankly not my style. She took the first box and threw it over the pile where it rolled onto the sidewalk. Then took the framed art and tossed them on top of the pile, proceeded by another box. The glass clearly broke on the frame. I handed her another box that had multiple glass figurines and some crystal vases from Princess House and told her there was glass in that one, she threw it over the pile onto the sidewalk. More broken glass noises. It's hard to take the time to sell this stuff on Craigslist and other sites, and I feel better about donating it to a company that can profit from it and (if they still do this) donate to local charities and organizations. But after this time, I won't be going back. I'll find somewhere else. And for the record lady, your job position is only there because people donate. If you're so sick of it then find another job. read more

I've been here twice now and so far I'm enjoying my finds. My take is this: it's a thrift store- be prepared to spend some time browsing. Both times I've found treasures But I definitely have to be patient looking. Overall it is well organized, clean and it makes sense (says no one about thrift stores - but it does!). TONS of jeans and pants. WATCH IT THOUGH- Some items are OVERPRICED for used clothing. But, again it's up to YOU the buyer to know what it originally should have cost. Savers has a great program for donations too. If u donate u get a coupon towards purchase. And one of the two times I've shopped here I got a survey regarding my experience which would give me a $3 off of $5 coupon code just for completing. I love this. More ways to save. Bought my child size daughter a fancy dress for playing here for $8. It was new with original tags on it. Also bought her a pair of GAP shorts for $3. Got older daughter (women's sizing) a denim vest with studs (again brand new) $5 and myself a top $3. I don't shop in shoe section caz it is just gross over there- dark and let's be real - shoes stink. I'll check it out whenever I'm in the area from now on. A bit of grievance airing, but I found a Gorillaz 'Demon Days' record & Carrie Brownstein memoir recently at this location and was so elated. Unfortunately, all I had was an Amex card, which they don't accept. Luckily, the friendly cashier said he'd put the items on hold for me & I can come back the next day to pick them up. Came back the next morning & was told that they only put items on hold for around an hour before they're released onto the floor again. Predictably, both items were gone when I returned. He wouldn't even take the box of household decor items, that he won't take anything sharp, rusty, a tool, or stuff that won't sell. Salvation Army took it all, I suggest going there instead. This use to be my go to thrift store, two years ago. I'm not sure if maybe they have since undergone new management but wow have they changed (for the worse). Their prices have become completely ridiculous. $20 for used infant shoes that had stains?! I for sure thought it was a typo - but the employee was like "we just got those in that's why". Uh, sorry last time I checked I wasn't in the actual Nike store and these aren't just released special edition - this is a thrift store and these are used. Pretty sure I saw them being sold at the rack brand new a few years ago for less than that. Plain toddler t-shirts with stains sold for $4 when you bought them brand new at target on the clearance rack for $2.49. I don't know who is making these prices but they are laughable. The staff has become unpleasant, seeming irritable and burdened by the slightest question or even ringing you up. It's a sad day when you realize your favorite thrift store has become an overpriced resale store in the middle of LA. Oh, also let me add. I know make the drive to the Anaheim savers because the prices are so much better and the selection is bigger/better. I also think it is much cleaner and organized. The wife and I enjoy going to thrift stores from time to time for a variety of reasons. Firstly, the wife's a plus-sized gal and finding clothes that fit large and lovely ladies can be VERY expensive. Just go to Lane Bryant or Torrid and you'll see what I mean. Secondly - we like to find fun clothing for my teenaged niece. She's pretty easy to shop for abd we;ve found some really great finds for her at some of the local thrift stores. The age of the clothes doesn't really matter as long as they are well-maintained; because as we all know.. vintage stuff always comes back in style. Another reason is that over the past two years the wifey has lost a good 60lbs or so, and has decided to try her hand at selling her larger clothes on E-Bay. Having a good deal of success, we decided troll around thrift stores in the area to see what we could find that was saleable. This past Saturday we decided to drive around Riverside and see what we could find. Saver's was the first store we visited... and it was quite an interesting and pleasant experience. The store is located next to a Best Buy, and driving up to the parking lot we were both impressed with how big the place seemed from the outside...as big as any department store! When we went inside, we were equally impressed. The place is hue! Rows ad rows of merchandise' mostly clothes and books but also housewares, furniture and electronics. More importantly - everything is sorted and labeled incredibly well! The clothes are all organized by type and size. It was soooo easy for my wife to find what she was looking for and browse. The books are similarly well-organized. The prices were quite reasonable. The wife found a few choice items both for herself and to possibly sell online. The employees were all very friendly and helpful and helped explain how each store helps a particular charity or group of charities in the local area. They even offer a discount loyalty card program...as well as a card they stamp..so when you get to a certain number of stamps on it you get a 30% discount! And if you donate items to the store - you get a 20% discount on a shopping day! I wish they had one of thse stores closer to us...it's on the far end of Riverside, near the Tyler Galleria - but we certainly intend to come back from time to time and explore their offerings. A solid 4 stars for anyone wanting to find good-quality second hand items at good prices! read more

I came here for the first time today and I was so surprised at the size of this store!! This store is HUUUGE! Even though it's a Saturday, it wasn't that crowded so my trip was overall pleasant. I like the fact that the store is organized and doesn't have that strong funky thrift store smell. Lol. Some of the items there were a bit too pricey, though. Pretty much the greatest thrift store you could shop in. Everything is clean and organized by size (within the categories- men's denim, women's denim, women's sleeveless tops, men's dress shirts, formalwear, etc.) and individually priced. The books are also organized. The shoes are separated by size. The whole store is organized and laid out nicely. They have colored tag sales, where each week or whatever a certain tag color is half price. When I went, there was plenty of stuff with the tag color of the week. The staff members are friendly and helpful, except for a couple of the cashiers we encountered, but whatever. The staff on the floor are definitely helpful. When I went, the store and restroom were far from "filthy", but to each his own. I will definitely be checking out savers as often as I can! I'm SO glad it's finally come to southern California! read more

Love coming here to donate but also to shop for books. I clean out our closets and toy bins often and like donating to organizations like Savers which give back to local charities. And donate 6 full bags worth of clothes or goods and you get a coupon worth 30% off a future purchase. Every now and then they have 50% off sales, often on major holidays. My guilty pleasure are books and there is a great selection, well organized by genre and in like-new or new condition. Always buy 4, get 1 free. Keep an eye out for 50% off books days too, those are like Christmas! (For this nerd anyway.) My only complaint is I went in the bathroom recently and it was really unkempt: floor was in desperate need of mopping, dirty toilet seat, seat covers and TP trash on the floor, including a dirty diaper.. just gross. I nearly ran out screaming (Ok, I'm also a germaphobe). Doesn't match the rest of the store though - seems like a very neat and organized place otherwise. read more

Some reviews advised the children's clothing was well priced, but the Goodwill store is at least $1 cheaper. But there is a huge variety!! And in mostly great condition. Hands down, best frickin' thrift store in Riverside... The only place I know where I can find some $6.99 (mint condition!) Franco Sarto pumps, H&M dress new w/ tags still on, .25 cent children's books for my daughter, & a retro 70's fridge lamp for the house. He he.. No boutique-y prices, just radical pieces (both clothing, shoes, & accessories galore) & an amazing housewares and furniture section. This store is CLEAN, ORGANIZED, & BRIMMING with gems at unbeatable prices. **They even have a "Designer Section" up front where they carry high end brands & designers. That's where you can find a vintage Channel bag, Ray Ban sunglasses, or donated wedding dresses, etc. Very cool. They have 1/2 off entire store sales on Mondays I believe. That can be a good time to go because Sat & Sun are normally a little crazy. But the store is HUGE. If you like to browse, set aside a good hour and a 1/2 or so. Completely cost effective and uber fun. Staff is always very nice and check out lines aren't long. Plenty of rooms to try on clothes, and they even do returns. I love you Savers.
