I just had to stand in the dumbest long line ever because they've moved to all self checkout. They only have one stand that accepts cash (or card) - all other stands only accept cash. We're not so much shoppers at Savers, but they're our first choice when making donations when cleaning out the garage/closets. This one in particular benefits Big Brothers, Big Sisters which is a great organization, so I feel good that my stuff is helping a cause I believe in. Dropping off goods is painless. They have two spots designated for donations and they always have plenty of people there to help you unload your car and make sure you get a receipt/20% off coupon for a future visit. They take pretty much anything - but that doesn't mean you should give them garbage; a rule of thumb is that if you don't think it can be sold, you probably shouldn't donate it. Be conscious of their time and resources. For shopping, there's a lot to see, but like most second hand stores, you gotta take your time to look as you never know what you might find. The wares that are available tend to be in better shape/condition than other thrift stores I've been to, so things may be a little bit pricier than a smaller neighborhood option. read more

The lady who works behind the glass case.. always has an attitude issue, don't work that job if you hate interacting with people... she's so busy pricing the earrings and acts bothered when obviously she has to help the customer look at an item. My review is based on the entire purpose of thrifting, which is finding quality items for a bargain...Welll let's just say that's not what I found... First off people DONATE these items too help the less fortunate or others who could use the items more than the previous owners... now how is it ethical too price used items soo high to the point that you're not even helping out those in need anymore.. Prices are extremely high, to the point where shipping on clothing store sites, or Apps that sell used/new items for cheap like Mercari, Poshmark, offer up, heck even Craigslist.. This entire establishment is a joke... Greed is clearly taking over many of the industries. Where would this business be if nobody donated? Exactly... this is why I stick too my lowkey thrift stores... hint hint the best I've found were in Glendora, Azusa, Covina and they're definitely worth the drive. I visited this store several times and have donated and bought many items. The last visit has me convinced that my time is just being wasted there, supporting a store that the employees don't even know how to do basic transactions on the credit card machines. My card was charged twice and they refused to credit it. That double charge on my account was a huge inconvenience and annoyance. I had to go through my bank and dispute it and they had to fix the mistake of savers employee. The manager needs to learn how to deal with people when they are angry. Telling someone to "relax" makes people more mad. Help your customers! Shop there if you want, but you've been warned about their subpar ways. Won't be back. read more

This is one of the cleaner thrift stores I've been to. Everything is neatly organized. Clothes aren't jammed on the racks like other stores. You can easily find what you're looking for. Prices are also pretty good. I'd definitely return here again. read more

I love coming to this savers!! It's always clean and staff is super friendly! The best part of savers is when you sign up with your email you earn points and coupons. The selection is always great they are super organized. I've been to other savers but this one is my favorite. I started coming every two weeks (obsessed) for the last few months and collected so much for my daughters first birthday (mad hatter tea party) and my sister in law baby shower! (Forest theme) I've gotten amazing deals. I've gotten so lucky on prices! I got tea pots and cups for dirt cheap! Parties are over but I keep coming because there's always little treasures I find. Your local thrift shop is only as good as the neighborhood it is in... well Yorba Linda is pretty close to being as good as it gets. Went in and was amazed at how nice it looked on the inside. Everything was nicely organized, plenty of staff and the prices are pretty good compared to the other Savers in So Cal. Yes Savers is slightly more expensive than the Goodwill, but I tend to find some sweet deals at Savers more often. Came in with a pocket full of money and an open mind and left with a couple of different items. All the clothes is organized by type (short sleeve shirts, long sleeves, shorts, pants, etc.) and also by size. This makes it so much easier to do your shopping as you can go straight to where you need to. I understand that this is a new store and it will not always stay like this, but until then enjoy it. There is always good deals to be had and don't forget to join their membership club. You get discounts certain days of the week and they will send you promotions. Also your purchases help out those in need. Its like a win-win for everyone, at least that is how I like to look at it. read more

I came here and found some vintage film camera. Took a gamble on whether or not it'll work but one was $3 and the other $12. If they work it would be a cool find. Which is the exciting part of thrifting. However, I've seen a few items with originally price tag on them and savers would price it higher than the originally price tag, which is not cool. If you're a woman, you're going to have a broad and high quality selection available. But the men's section probably has like a third of what the woman section has and nothing that you couldn't otherwise find at your local goodwill and for cheaper. It isn't really their fault I guess since it appears that women are the target demographic for this particular store. Otherwise, the place was decent enough for a thrift store and did have a nice selection of furniture and other household goods. I really love this Savers because I love the fact that they have the clothing organized by size but I have found it recently that the clothing is priced super high and I'm just not willing to pay as much for used clothing. I have noticed a lot of their items are pretty high. It does take the fun out of it but I will continue to shop here but won't buy as much and I hate that they took the dressing rooms away and you can't try things on so I would wear leggings and a tank top so you can try them on by a mirror over my clothes. Donators please realize more than half your donations wont end up on a shelf or rack here. Savers and Goodwill have online Ebay stores and they sell the stuff at the highest price they can get. Employees also get first pick. Donate elsewhere. After over 100 visits to this store over a 3 year time spand I officially give up. The items they have are the worst non working junk yet they price it like they tested it all out. Battery compartments completly destroyed on electrical items and they seal the bags so you cant see it. Designer Jeans priced at 49.99 and 59.99. Hawaiian shirts priced at $59.99. Tommy bahama with stains and missing buttons $ 24.99. Old flannel shirts with holes priced at $49.99. WHAT!!! I swear there are at least 6 employees at the register's all talking personal stuff along with the manager while customers wait for the one cashier working. These stores think they can receive 100% free donations then proceed to research the highest price they can get for and item online and that is how it will be priced. They need to change the name from a thrift store to a used store. I wish all the donators would realize what's happening to their stuff they drop off here. Please take your stuff 1 mile down the road to the Motivate my Closet thrift store that helps mentally challenged people. They even teach them how to have jobs working in the store. Your donations would be so much better deserved at a place like that, than any Savers! I would also like to point out that if you happen to find a item without a price tag they get really pissy and give you attitude and will slap any high price they feel like depending on the mood they are in. Upon entering the store, I noticed a small patio table priced at $2.99. I asked the staff to put it aside. An employee then called another staff member to look at the price. I told them they can view on the cameras and that I just walked in and that is how it was priced in case they were insinuating that I changed the price. I told them to look at their cameras, I just walked in. They then proceeded to call a section supervisor (JESSIE) to look at the price. As she walked up I explained the same thing and told them they need to honor the price. She then pulled off the price tag and showed me there was another tag underneath (with a much higher price). I told her that as a consumer I would have no way of knowing if the store did that or not. She was immediately combative and said, " I was going to BE NICE and sell it to you for $7.99 but since you didn't let me talk I'm going to sell it to you for what is on the tag." Then she pretentiously said "I can change the price whenever I want." Mind you, this abusive and LOW CLASS behavior was in front of my children and mother. I then asked her other staff to set that aside for me because I wanted to shop. When I went to the register I asked them how much JESSIE priced the small patio table for. She had it priced for the much higher price that was on the tag because she claims I was RUDE and didn't let her tell me she originally felt like selling it for $7.99. I get that I'm not shopping at Nordstrom, but this is a retail store and they are still bound to consumer and retail laws. I think it's sad to assume that I can't expect to be respected and given customer service just because it is a thrift store in an affluent neighborhood. I was humiliated and appalled to say the least. This review is about the principle of that matter not the money as we are talking about no more than a $25 used item. The point of this post it to bring awareness to the Savers Corporation as you what type of employee they have in that position. A position where JESSIE felt like she could be so bold to disrespect a consumer and set an awful and embarrassing display of her inability to succeed as an area supervisor. I hope that the SAVERS corporation can look into this matter and promote someone who is actually deserving and capable of giving consumers a fair and pleasant experience. Some people are not adequate to place in a position of any "power" as it shows their true character. In this particular incident, JESSIE demonstrated that she does not value her job nor have any respect for consumers or the staff is she supposed to set an example for. Seven and Amanda were two employee's whose name I took down as some of the witnesses to this unfortunate incident. They were very sweet and calm and tried to make the remainder of my transaction pleasant. Everyone around JESSIE looked embarrassed by her erratic behavior behind the counter; especially after she walked away from me as I was talking. I had asked her to repeat to me what she said earlier about her theory behind pricing and she said she didn't have to and walked away. read more

Savers is my favorite thrift store, and this store is to par with the others! Fountain Valley is still better just because of the larger store = larger selection, but this store is super organized and I found some wonderful deals. The staff are also super nice with helping for the the fitting rooms and check-out. The book selection surprised me by being organized by genre. It's on the pricier side of $3.50 each and buy 4 get one free, but worth it for saving time. read more

The reference section is amazing here. Generally, I have found that the quality of books is higher here than at the Savers locations in La Mirada and Fountain Valley. I found many good psychology textbooks and other reference books for self-studying that are high-quality. The selection was similar to the Savers location in Arcadia, which I also recommend. They also had a lot of interesting board games and a good selection of men's shorts and pants. They seemed to have lots of clothes for men, women, and children. I also like the 20% off coupons every time I donate something to the Savers donation center located outside the store and the friendly staff at this store. It also was pretty clean and had good air circulation around the store. read more

Excellent location. You can score some gently used clothes from brands usually sold in Nordstrom if you do some digging. Also, the employees have been friendly and are prompt with checking out customers. The only shortcoming is the dressing room wait. I like this thrift store and enjoy shopping there. They have a nice variety of household items and clothes. What I don't understand is why their prices keep going up to almost new retail cost. Their items are donated for free, they have tons of volunteers. It's like they're taking advantage of what's happening in the world. NO NO NO. RUN AWAY. Just left this location empty handed bc as soon as I tried on a pair of old Levi's my legs started itching immediately. I kicked them off and found 5 fresh bug bites. I've been thrifting all over for about 15 years, half my life and nothing like this happened to me. So gross. I stopped for rubbing alcohol and wiped myself down just in case. On top of that, prices were way too high for stock that's 95% fast fashion cast offs apparently infested with bugs. This gives thrifting a bad name. read more
