This small coffee -breakfast place is pretty cute! Located on King Street and has a pretty palm leaves painting inside. They decorate it with some Christmas decor and look so cute! I came for an iced coffee and ordered their iced coffee gingerbread latte and pretty happy with my order. Will visit this place again next time.

Gross sugary syrup at the bottom of the banana bread matcha
Haley B.

Met up here with a friend and honestly I was sad regarding my drink, vibes, and lack of hospitality... We came on a Saturday afternoon around 12pm, they were slammed packed. The store is really really small so every table was full, people were standing around, and it was just really busy in there. As you're waiting for your drink you just feel like you're in the way. The whole set up is odd, they weren't taking orders at the register but instead had these kiosks you order from. The drink I wanted, a banana bread matcha wasn't on the kiosk menu so I had to flag someone down and ask how to order it. They told me to write it in the special requests section so I did. Whats so sad though, is they kinda are taking a loss because on their printed hanging menu the banana bread matcha is around $7.50 but on the kiosk because it wasn't listed it was like $5.25 instead, (just trying to let yall know so you don't miss out on $) But anyways I got lucky... because honestly I didn't even drink the entire matcha because it was EXTREMELY sweet. Like a gross sweetness level. In the photo attached you can see all the sugar left on the bottom. If I knew this place made them that sweet I'd ask for half sweet. I didn't bother to ask them to remake it because we waited about 10 minutes for our order and at the point we were just ready to go. So I just waited awhile until the ice melted so it was watered down. Not sure if it was just a bad day to visit there as maybe the staff were overwhelmed due to the busyness. I wanted to like it but honestly I didn't and wouldn't really come back due to everything stated above.

Dubai Espresso Latte Strawberry Cream Cheese Danish

I was excited about this new cafe on king street. The coffee is excellent and the food is very good. There is a lot of variety. The paint is the same as when it was cafecito, but the vibe is different with a young and trendy feel. I tried the Dubai Latte with Espresso (as opposed to Matcha) and I was super impressed. It tasted so good and was rich without being sickening or over sweet. I also had the strawberry cream cheese danish and I was super happy with it. I will definitely be back especially since there are a lot of fresh ideas for coffee here and the prices are very reasonable. It's a small cafe without a lot of hang out space, but it's good if you're on the go.

Small place with seating for maybe 10 people. Ordering was done through kiosk which was okay--you could put notes in the order. While the avo toast tasted good, for the price it was skimpy. Very small and maybe 1/4 to half an avocado between two small pieces of bread. Mocha tasted okay and it's nice I could customize as I wanted. For the price though, it's not worth it. $6 muffin was pretty large though.

Great coffee spot Downtown Charleston. Great staff and service. I had the drip coffee, butter croissant, and chocolate chip cookie. All of it was really good. Workers are real personable. Just a great coffee shop. Go by and give it a try.

Pistachio latte

Cutest little cafe with creative and fun drinks! They definitely lean on the sweeter side, so ask for less sweet if that's not your thing. I love how unique the options are. The pistachio latte was incredible! I'll definitely be back.

Xmas cookie butter latte

Sweet Palm has so many great drink options! I love the seasonal options that change throughout the year. I got the Xmas cookie butter latte that was so good. The shop itself is adorable and well decorated and has a great location right on King Street

Pistachio latte

This coffee shop was cute and close to the hotel and I did enjoy the pistachio latte. However the line was a little long and it was quite confusing as most people couldn't figure out the machine to order and only had one person making coffee.

Iced coffee was refreshing I came back the next morning for another round. It was flavorful yet not sugary. It definitely gave me a kick and got addicted to it, except I'm only in the area for 4 days. Staff and manager were friendly yet professional. Although I was charged twice, the manager assured me they would fix it once the line was manageable. Somehow I trusted her word for it, just the manner with which she handled it was text book! Indeed, saw the overcharged taken care of by the next day. A must stop in downtown historic Charleston for sure! Great awesome pastries, sandwiches Parisian style made and clean refreshing breakfast beverages. This is the best patisserie option which actually lives up to its name, unlike those wannabe k ones!!!

We've had the blueberry muffin, peach turnover, pain au chocolate, olive oil citrus muffin, banana chocolate croissant, and the macaroons. I would personally skip the macaroons - they weren't very good as far as filling and flavor went 24$ for 6 not very good cookies was disappointing. Everything else was great! And like I said coffee (all of it) is super!!

The oysters were fresh, cold, and exactly what we were looking for as a light bite before dinner. We enjoyed a drink, relaxed for a bit, and soaked in the atmosphere. It was a great spot to stop for a snack and a cocktail, and the friendly service made the experience even better.

The ambiance is nice without being too formal but also feeling like you're enjoying a nice meal. We had a wide array of items which included their caviar service, fresh oysters, crab claws and some appetizers including their fried oyster slider and a unique oyster appetizer. All of these were DELICIOUS! Their caviar service was one of the best I've seen, the oyster slider was delicious and my only complaint is that the oyster itself was small. The oyster appetizer was unique but had great flavor with the old bay seasoned crackers. For entrees I had the cornmeal friend fish. It was a great size price of fish, came out hot and fresh and fried to perfection. It does come on a bed of cream corn, but there were no real side dishes you could add or order. So it was filling, but not as hearty as other meals. I also asked for a sauce to accompany the fish just to break up the taste and texture a bit void of a true side. For dinks we had one off menu and I had them make a traditional whisky sour. Both good. This place came highly recommended and didn't disappoint. I would make it a stop on my next visit.

I remembered enjoying it during my first stay, so naturally I had to return. This time around I stopped by twice during our two-night stay. On my first visit, I was tempted by the limited-time LoveShackFancy collaboration and ordered the Pistachio Rose Matcha Cloud Latte. It sounded amazing: house-made pistachio rose syrup, your choice of milk, topped with fluffy matcha cold foam and rose petals. Unfortunately... it was way (way) too sweet. And this is coming from someone who usually likes sweet drinks. At $10, I powered through it, but it definitely wasn't for me. My friend ordered another one of the collaboration drinks and did not finish hers because it was overwhelmingly sweet. Thankfully, my second visit redeemed everything. I went back to an old favorite - an iced matcha latte - and it was just what I was hoping for. Service was excellent during both visits. While the cafe seems to remain pretty popular, it wasn't overwhelmingly crowded. I still love the atmosphere here. It's such a great place to grab a drink before heading out to explore Charleston or while staying at the Emeline. Lesson learned: sometimes the specials are worth trying... and sometimes it's best to stick with your favorite!

Luckily, we were able to be seated immediately but it was very close quarters with surrounding tables. The menu is vast with different dessert options. If you want to know what cakes are available, you should check out the display stand right when you enter. Since we were there 2.5 hours before closing, there didn't seem to be a lot of cake options available, but my husband and I decided to share a slice of the s'mores cake with a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream to make it à la mode. The s'mores cake was a chocolate cake with mini marshmallows, chocolate fudge, graham crackers, and more marshmallows. The cake was good and had everything I could ever want in it, but it was a little dry. I think this also had to do with it being the end of the night. The ice cream complemented the flavor well. It would have been better with a second scoop of ice cream though. Service was great! It took about 10 minutes from when we ordered to get our dessert. I would probably come back here again, but not so late at night so there would be fresher cake with more options available.

We waited about 5 to 10 minutes to be acknowledged while two employees stood nearby. The two layer chocolate caramel pecan cake, which our waitress initially could not find, was dry and tasted stale. I would not order it again. The Tollhouse pie was a bit better, but the presentation and the whipped cream were the standouts, and the whipped cream wasn't even homemade! That's the best thing I could say about our experience. The food, pricing, service, and ambiance all fell below average. When you are located downtown with so many great dessert options around, you really need to step up your game. We will not be returning.
