What an awesome Saturday night dinner! As a party of 7 we had a variety of different drinks, appetizers, entrees and desserts; everyone had nothing but good things to say. The ambiance was upscale charming & very very comfortable (given all that's going on). Our waiter was wonderful between helping some of us pick entrees to often checking in on how we were doing with meals/ drinks. I believe the owner even stopped by our table to check-in as well, which is always a service plus in my book! The drinks were great, from the wine selection to the dirty martinis, espresso martini, & Pumpkin Martini for dessert. For apps, some of the items we got included Zuppa de clams in a white sauce & Fra Diavolo, the Clams Orregenata, Seafood Salad, Escargot, and Shrimp Cocktail. Each was flavorful, fresh & a great size. For dinner we got the Shrimp Fra Diavolo, Seafood Genovese, Filet & Shrimp Special, Veal Imperial, Linguine Special & the Chilean Sea Bass Special! Just about every plate was left clean!! The pesto cream sauce on the Seafood Genovese was unreal, my Veal Imperial was so flavorful yet still light, the Filet was cooked perfectly & the Sea Bass was flaky & delicious. Make sure you save room for dessert, too, especially the insane Cappucino Gelato, which was easily the best gelato I've had in Jersey. We will definitely be coming back!! read more

I went there for lunch with friends and was disappointed in the entrees. I ordered a chopped salad and requested to add chicken for an additional $8. The dish that I was served was embarrassingly minuscule. There was a very tiny bit of greens mixed with a few pieces of avocado and red onion. It seems as though that by adding the chicken, they skimped on the greens. I was quite surprised that they would serve such small portions of food and prices are on the high side for what you get. The salad dressing was flavorless; very oily with hardly a hint of vinegar. I won't be returning. read more

Visited Savini for a client lunch and really enjoyed it. We usually go to Capital Grill but Savini was a nice change of scenery. The restaurant itself is very fancy and has a little bit of a private golf club type of feel. The food is really good and everyone enjoyed the steaks. The filet and grilled vegetables were so well seasoned and cooked perfectly. I have reserved another lunch meeting for next week and plan on trying other items on the menu. Food was ok. I don't get what everyone says about service. Ours sucked. Waiter took drink order and gave us drinks and then disappeared. Well not really. He was at other tables but not ours. Someone else took our food order. Food came out lighting fast that it was a speedy meal and not overly relaxing. Different waitress took our dessert order and brought us the check. No one asked if we enjoyed the meal or if there were any issues. read more

I went to Savini's a few weeks ago on a Saturday night for the first time. Their outdoor seating area was set up so nice with lights hanging off the top of the tent. They did an amazing job with the ambience. We ordered the seafood salad and it was SO GOOD. But, let me tell you about the chicken francese. Now, I order this everywhere I go.. I mean everywhere. I'm very basic and stick to what I know I like. This chicken francese was one of the best, if not the best, one I have ever had in my life. I always ask for extra lemon and the sauce was thick (I hate thin francese sauces). I dipped dip my bread in the extra sauce. It was just amazing. This is an amazing place. We had dinner last night in this tucked away restaurant in a residential neighborhood. The food was fantastic. We had the stuffed peppers for my appetizer which we shared. That was my first stuffed pepper with meat and risotto. So flavorful. The branzino with broccoli rabe was perfect! The limoncello cake with mascarpone frosting - insane! But for my diet, I would have ordered a second slice. I cannot wait to go back and try more of their food. Thanks for the great service as well. The wait staff were great. The location was lovely and the general ambiance very upmarket. The food was pretty average (for the price) and not remarkable. What was remarkable was the foul-mouthed wannabe gangster sitting behind us who dropped the f-bomb about 5 times per sentence. It was at a volume that was obnoxious and a good manager would have asked them to keep it down. It was like a parody of a Sopranos scene without the wit, drama or intrigue. The guy was just talking nonsense. We could barely hold a conversation on our table over the sound of this fool holding forth. In future Savini's, I'd suggest that you tell your guests to keep their f-bombs and voices in general down. It spoiled our meal totally. read more

A perfect place for a birthday dinner. If you let them know in advance they print the specials menu with the birthday person's name on it as a special keepsake. The meal starts with cheese, olives and bread on the table. The zucchini flowers were amazing. The linguini seafood special was delicious. The service was quick and accommodating to a larger group. Best of the Best My wife & I wanted to celebrate our 51st wedding anniversary by coming here for the first time. We read the reviews & while we had high expectations after reading the reviews, we found that they far exceeded anything we could have imagined. The service, food & atmosphere were about the best we've ever had. They gave us our own special menu with our names on it and our dessert had a chocolate disc with "Happy Anniversary" on it. Our waiter, Mario A, was very professional & attentive, while being very helpful. My wife loved her jumbo shrimp cocktail as her appetizer, while I chose the baby arugula salad. It had strawberries, honey crisp apples, sun dried apricots & toasted sliced almonds in a Mandarin vinaigrette dressing, topped with shaved Asiago cheese. It was delicious. My wife had the salmon in a Dijon mustard sauce & loved it. My chicken Francese was about the best I've ever had. All in all, this was a very special meal at a very special restaurant. Wonderful accommodations under the test post quarantine. Everything was top service. Everything was clearly marked out from the start, signs everywhere, valet drivers had gloves on as well as all the servers, hand sanitizing bottles, and everyone in masks keeping their distance. Even during these tough times and being so hot outside the servers and wait staff worked tirelessly. The menu was even touch less and accessible via cell phones! Very impressed! I went here with my family for my dad's birthday. The atmosphere is very warm and inviting. They even gave us a customized menu with my dad's name on it which was really cute. What I really liked about this place, besides the really good food (I had the soft shell crabs with francaise sauce and tiramisu for dessert), was the service. From the bussers to our server, Frank, everyone was just so attentive, nice, and friendly. I definitely recommend this place especially if you have something to celebrate. Been here a couple of times and I just don't like it. Right off the bat, an Italian Restaurant that charges extra if you want to substitute rice or potatoes for pasta is a joke. I mean seriously, its an ITALIAN restaurant and you want to charge me $3.00 for pasta!!! I came here tonight to celebrate my dad's birthday with my family. The atmosphere was very warm and inviting. However, I felt that the tables were too close to each other. I was bumping into other people's table just trying to make my way to my own table. The room is not that big so a few less tables would have been better. I felt like the tables around me were sitting on top of me. And I am not sure why there was mandatory valet parking when the lot was not that big. But I guess they wanted to give the image of being a fancy restaurant in the middle of a suburban neighborhood. Although it was a bit pricey, the food was mostly great. For the appetizer, we shared the Fried Calamari and the Clams Oreganata. The calamari were bigger than what I am normally used to and there was a good bread crumb to squid ratio. The marinara sauce had a little spice which added a nice flavor to the calamari. The clams were, unfortunately, on the small end. For my entree, I had the Lobster Tails, which were 3 4oz. lobster tails with drawn butter and mashed potatoes and string beans as the accompaniments. They were decent, but I could tell that they were frozen. There wasn't much seasoning on the actual lobster meat so the butter added the extra flavor. The string beans were had a nice "crunch" to them and the mashed potatoes were very smooth. The rest of my family seemed to have enjoyed their meals and because there was so much on the plate my mom and brother had to take the rest of their meals home. For dessert, I had the tiramisu. It was not overly sweet, which is just how I like my dessert to be. The service was great. The waiter was always checking on us to ask how we were doing. Right before dessert, the waiter noticed that there was a some sauce on the table cloth. So he put down a clean cloth napkin to cover the spot to ensure that my dad would not accidentally place his elbow into the sauce. I thought that this was a nice touch to the service. Overall, I thought that this was a great restaurant and I would come back again for another occasion. read more

My husband and I came to Savini's for our Anniversary dinner and everything we ate was absolutely delicious. Calamari melted in our mouths, crab cakes were perfection! I had jumbo shrimp pasta with garlic sauce over linguini and my hubby had short rib, cavatelli with sauce, nothing was left over. We'll be back for sure. Had dinner with my children on Sunday. We were a group of 6, the table and chairs were set for 5, we had to ask for a chair, table setting etc. Drink order taken and then people who came in after us (table of 4), got their dinner, before our order was taken. Had to ask for Bread, and water refills. My husband's smoked salmon appetizer was cheap packaged salmon - you can taste cheap. The carpaccio was edible, but again not the quality you expect for the price you pay. Our dinners were tasty, but very pricy for small quantities. My branzino was $41, and it was only 1 filet. Too much hype and not enough substance. Will not go back. read more

I've become a regular here with my wife. The food and the service are both outstanding and let's just say the bartender is very generous... Salih our host is always so friendly and Stephanie, who has tended to us twice now, is super attentive as well. A lot of restaurants are struggling these days with staff shortages both in the front and back of the house, but doesn't seem to be the case here at all. First and foremost, we felt very safe dining here. There is adequate social distancing, mask wearing, and all precautions taken. The outdoor setup was comfortable.
