Terrible waste of 20 dollars on a gyro plate. Comes with side of Greek salad. Lettuce completely wilted and brown, disgusting and inedible m. Also, only came with this amount of onions and NO tomatoes, I had to cut my own tomatoes at home. I would not come here again, Smileys is way better quality. UPDATE***** Owner contacted me right away and offered a in store credit. Also addressed whose staff that the salad does not go in the plate, should have gone in separate container. Which may of contributed to the lettuce being wilted. I will be updating on Monday, once I give them another try on their food. read more

Working our way through Savino's menu. Tonight's fare included a Philly cheesesteak for me, and an Italian beef for my hubby. The cheesesteak tasted awesome. A very generous portion! My only complaint was that it was soaking wet. Not sure if it's because of the mushrooms (which are a high water content vegetable), or if it was grease from the meat. The bread was soaking wet, and my plate was full of liquid when I was done. Still, I did love the flavors of the sandwich, and while it was messy, I would not hesitate to order it again. The beef sandwich was very good...full of flavorful seasonings, and a very generous portion. Unfortunately, my husband ordered green peppers (which were an additional upcharge), and there were no peppers on the sandwich. That being said, he called and they were very apologetic, and offered us a discount on our next order. Mistakes do happen, and how those mistakes are rectified is what matters. I sooooooooooooo wanted to like this place. Went there because our regular Italian beef place was closed. Walked in -- nice little storefront, impeccably clean. Very nice girl waited on me, super pleasant environment. Then... Wings--wings came with bread and fries. The wings themselves were pretty good. Decent amount of meat on bones, garlic parm sauce was very tasty. But I had one bite of the bread and literally spit out -- very bad. It was super greasy and had this off taste to it. Then tried the fries. Same thing--this weird off taste and super greasy. Had one, spit it out and threw the rest out. I also tried the gyro. Initially was ok. Meat was fresh (some was a little dry --they should have shaved that outer and just given us the inner). The tomatoes were actually pretty good. Had some flavor, even for December. But then - the pita. Somewhat stale but again had that off taste like the fries and greasy. Couldn't eat anything else after tasting that pita. My husband had the Italian beef. He said it was ok tasting. (He is very particular with his Italian beef, lol). I asked him how he liked the fries and he said they weren't great but he put a lot of ketchup on them and ate them all. (I honestly don't know how he did that). 20 minutes later he spent a good 30 minutes in the bathroom and told me not to go there again. I hate leaving bad reviews particularly for what seems to be a nice little place, but I hope the owner sees this. My suspicion is that old grease was being used in the fryer and it was used on the grill to toast the bread and warm the pita (maybe to soften it up because it was stale?) I hope my husband doesn't continue to feel sick; if he does I may make a few calls tomorrow. But I sure am glad I didn't eat those fries... read more

I stopped in to try the Greek feta fries. I know how do I dare stop in a place like this and NOT try a hot dog or Beef? Anyway, the service was great. The young lady at the counter was very polite and personable. I only ordered the medium fries but for me, I thought good bang for your buck because I got 2 meals out of my medium. Food quality here is fine. The reason I am giving two stars is because their prices are outrageous! I went there today to get a burger and fries. They had a patty melt on the menu. I started to order that. I also added a small fries to the order. I looked at the register and the price was already at $18 and it wasn't even totalled up yet with sales tax. I decided to change my order to the two hot dog and fries meal for $7.99 instead. I really didn't want 2 hotdogs, I wanted a burger but I'm not willing to pay more than $20 for lunch at a fast food place. I don't care how good the food is. I know the cost of food is high these days but not that high. I can go to a bunch of different places and spend between 10 and 15 bucks for lunch. That's as much as I want to pay for fast food. I know this place needs to make a buck but I won't be going back. read more

Very very good! I am from Chicago and was pleasantly surprised at the authenticity of they gyros! The sauce it sooo goood! It tasted homemade!!!! Our server was Sarah she was great and was so sweet with my daughter!!! When we asked her what we had to try we had already ordered it! But while we were waiting for our food she brought us out their homemade cream of chicken soup and it was homemade and very very good! It was very sweet of her to give us a sample! The gyros itself was meaty and tasty! Sauce absolutely delicious! French fries were good! My daughter had the grilled cheese kids meal! Great sandwich on Texas bread and she at the entire thing! 7/15/2020 update: Very disappointed. Ordered 2 "Chicago" dogs w/fries as they were always some of the best around. Dogs came with diced tomatoes on top, (not gonna kill me I know). Gyros are extremely important to me. So naturally, I was excited to try this place. Since there's not many options for good gyros in the area, I was expecting Savino's to knock it out the park. Upon entering, the service was prompt and friendly. I ordered the gyro, my husband had a chicken pita and we shared cheese fries. He enjoyed his pita but my gyro was lacking flavor. The cheese fries looked delicious but fell short and was just as flavorless. I was very impressed with the portions. They were very generous with the gyro meat and trimmings. I am a repeat customer and a big fan of Savino's different Rice Bowels which are all delicious. I recently had a Halloween party and asked them if they could prepare a platter of my favorite, the Skirt Steak Burrito Bowel. I brought the platter in and they did an awesome job!! The steak and rice cooked perfectly, all veggies were so fresh and seasoned perfectly! The presentation impressive as you can see for yourself on the attached picture. Came in around 2 and ordered grilled chicken gyro and Greek salad. While the gyro had plenty of meat ( I asked for extra) it was dry. At 2pm. Only way that happens if it was from yesterday or they overcooked it that morning. Salad was good as usual. read more

Stopped by here for lunch today, and was blown away. It looks like your typical hole in the wall Greek/American food joint, which can typically be hit or miss. I got the Cajun chicken sandwich, and it was cooked fresh, and was one of the best chicken sandwiches I've ever had. I wish I took a picture of it because it was also presented very nice. We've been here several times and love the food and the service. The only thing I would recommend is to change you taziki recipe so that's it's more traditional with less dill more cucumber and make it thicker. We really enjoy the gyros, but we take them home and put out own taziki on. :) A different taziki would be a game changer! read more
