We were visiting from out of town and were really craving pizza, so we decided to try Chicago Bros Pizzeria, we're so glad we did! The pizza was delicious and the ingredients tasted very authentic and fresh. The pizza was also served on a wooden board, which I thought was a really cool detail and added to the whole experience. The salad was great, the wings were really good, and overall everything we tried was enjoyable. The environment was very nice and clean, and the staff was attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. Service was quick too, although it was a little empty when we went. Horrible service when I was there for the US soccer game. Decided to come here when McGreggors was packed since no one was there except for a couple. Placed an order for food and drinks and thats whe the wait started. Two of the orders came out in okay time, but the third one was a personal pizza that was forgotten about. I know it was forgotten because another group came in after us by about 10 or so minutes, they got their food and then i could see the cooks in the back making that pizza. Overall, the service fron the kitchen is below average. You can see them from the bar and I was able to see them vaping with what looked like two females who were employees there. We got here around 7pm and there was no line and parking was easy in front. The crust was very thick and there was a lot of cheese. I had a nice cheese pull! A 10 inch can feed 2-3 people. I liked this better than Lefty's deep dish. It was nice inside was sport bar feel there were basket ball and baseball game going on and outdoor seating is available. My brother and I decided to try this place after he saw some ads on Instagram and got really excited for Chicago style deep dish pizza. The establishment itself is pretty nice, it has a bunch of board games, Django, and other games for what it look like kids to play. They had the soccer game on which was nice, and a nice little bar section with a decent beer selection. The staff were all very respectful and kind as well. The pizza took a little bit over 45 minutes to be ready which is normal for most deep dish pizzas. We had some jalapeño poppers before we got the pizza and they were lukewarm and not flavorful at all honestly. So I thought to myself well the Pizza's gotta be great... the pizza came out and had good presentation, but man it was such a letdown. We got the deep dish pizza with pepperoni and you could barely taste the pepperoni at all. The pizza was extremely oily and when I say oily I know a pizza supposed to be oily, but I mean really oily. When eating it the best word I can describe is it was just bland. I see a lot of good reviews for this place and to each their own for whoever enjoyed it. Miriam and back of house staff were amazing!!!! Stopped in randomly on Saturday August 2nd for the first time. We were going to Snapdragon for a concert and parked nearby to walk. We wanted a quick drink beforehand. We were pleasantly surprised that we made the right choice by passing the crowded nearby bar and stopped in here instead after seeing their beer advertising out front. They actually have a full bar as well, which is amazing for a pizza place!!! We also saw they had pizza by the slice which was great because the concert would charge way more for food. Ordered pepperoni and cheese deep dish but they messed up and gave us the master piece and we didn't want it. Loved their antipasto salad. And love that they have the dressing on the side so you can add as much or as little as you like. I don't generally like a lot of dressing on my salads so this was perfect. We got the thin crust pepperoni pizza and it was delicious. Crunchy and the cheese and pepperoni are excellent. Definetly used the pepperoni which is nice because a lot of places don't put much on but they loaded it!!! I ordered the 16' thin crust fiesta and it was very good! Toppings included mushroom, onions, green peppers, black olives, pepperoni, and sausage. It was a good mix of meat and veggies. We live across the street from Chicago Bros, and it never fails to come through. It's a great place for deep dish pizza (rare for us, but still a treat!), and such a family-friendly place, we highly recommend going there when you can. One time we went there, and about a dozen little league baseball kids (and a few parents) were seated not far away. The food was 10/10 for the Cheese lovers deep dish. I took my friend who hates thick crust and saucey pizzas (she prefers thin crust NY style) Even she was converted and loved this! Found this little hidden gem in mission valley! The family atmosphere is amazing! I love that they have games in the corner, and the patio area is a great addition to enjoy the San Diego weather! The beer wine and liqour section is great and the girl working the front is very helpful! The pizza variation is incredible and modifications are simple, I couldn't ask for a better hidden gem! This is purely for their sub sandwich rating. I was craving a parm chicken sandwich and since I'm pregnant, was willing to drive far from the photos taken. I was sadly disappointed. The portion looks big when you get it but it's all fluff with bread and wayyy too much marinara sauce with a generic taste. I barely tasted any chicken (it was sooo thin) and compared to other places, I don't feel inclined to return. I also asked for pepperoncinis & mayo & never got it. The total price for a sandwich, fries & drink was wayyyyyy too much as well for lunch ($29). There are far cheaper places with real fillings of protein or better caliber of food.
