Dear diary, I was craving some pizza in the middle of the day and saw this place. When we walked in there was barely anyone there but the staff were inviting and explained the menu to us very well. We got the works pizza to split between 2 people and let me tell you we devoured it. Left no crumbs behind. We also got a beer and moscato perfect paring imo. It was a more laid back and casual atmosphere where we can enjoy our pizza and watch some sport on the tv. PS it's a pizza hard to mess up on that. read more

We ordered online and took about 40-45 minutes. It's best to do it this way if you're not dining in. We had the deep dish meat lovers. The actual pie itself in my opinion is good. The jalapeños poppers were delicious. The guy at the counter tells you that the deep dish pizza takes an hour but In a discouraging way but we still ordered it. Ordered pepperoni and cheese deep dish but they messed up and gave us the master piece and we didn't want it. We are not a fan of raw onion in pizza and it was filled with it when we told the guy he said oh sorry yes it's the wrong one. He did offer to remake it but we didn't want to wait another 45 min so we just kept it. The crust and dough was tough and over worked. The sauce was decent. read more

When we first walked in I didn't notice there was a bar to the left. We got two beers, a 14inch meat lovers deep dish and a Cesar salad. Total $64 Price was steep, but the pizza was 100% delicious! My husband said it was very close to Chicago style pizza. He was so happy. Overall, with my daughter. Husband and I we still have 3 slices left. The place was pretty chill, they have high chairs for your little one. I wish I would've noticed they had games on the side. It would've helped with my toddler: to keep her entertained. Came here for lunch randomly, I was craving buffalo wings, and they really nailed those! So crispy and hot, the sauce was good and the blue cheese was delicious. I also got the mini pie with cheese and pepperoni, so yummy and fresh. I couldn't finish it to myself but can't wait to heat up the rest later for dinner. We came here with a group of 7. It's a no frills place next to a lot of other restaurants. We ordered both types of pizzas - a deep dish and a thin crust. Both were good, but the thin crust wasn't that memorable. We also got an order of chicken wings and jalapeño poppers. The deep dish was good and very filling, so we didn't even really need the sides. I ordered the 16' thin crust fiesta and it was very good! Toppings included mushroom, onions, green peppers, black olives, pepperoni, and sausage. It was a good mix of meat and veggies. The location is nice! I didn't dine in but when I went to pick up my order I thought it would be a cool little spot to eat at. The guy taking orders was very polite. Loved their antipasto salad. And love that they have the dressing on the side so you can add as much or as little as you like. I don't generally like a lot of dressing on my salads so this was perfect. We got the thin crust pepperoni pizza and it was delicious. Crunchy and the cheese and pepperoni are excellent. Definetly used the pepperoni which is nice because a lot of places don't put much on but they loaded it!!! We live across the street from Chicago Bros, and it never fails to come through. It's a great place for deep dish pizza (rare for us, but still a treat!), and such a family-friendly place, we highly recommend going there when you can. One time we went there, and about a dozen little league baseball kids (and a few parents) were seated not far away. It was not bothersome at all -- quite the contrary, it was entertaining to see them all laughing and having a good time. It's really a fun place. read more

The food was 10/10 for the Cheese lovers deep dish. I took my friend who hates thick crust and saucey pizzas (she prefers thin crust NY style) Even she was converted and loved this! They had thin crust which my husband loves we had the Hawaiian and people loved it so much I'll order 2 next time. The flavors in The Masterpiece deep dish got a bit lost in translation. Do yourself a favor and order the garlic Parmesan wings! We were fighting for the last one! Salads were standard. I wish the antipasto dressing had been tossed in to get all the flavors. I'll try the sandwiches, calzone and pasta next time. Parking was tough on a Friday night. Plan ahead and carpool. It is a busy little strip mall. Took half a point off for this. Our service was great and I called 2 days prior to make sure we'd have a table for 11 and they reserved it for us and the day of a few hours before we arrived I ordered all the food. I don't recommend this pizza. The deep dish pizza was mostly tomato sauce that was inedible and highly highly acidic. I purchased a pizza with mushrooms, expecting them to be fresh. However, the mushrooms were canned! Yuck! We had 10 hungry people who couldn't eat this pizza. Very disappointed because it was highly rated on Yelp. The pizza was cardboard crust, the pizza sauce base was not flavorful but I did taste some sweetness to it - are they adding sugar? Eek - I've had better grocery store frozen pizza. The wings - absolutely do not order. I requested no "sauce" on the wings and I'm glad I did - I was able to see how burnt they were. It seems they were double fried as they reeked of old oil and biting into it you just got a mouthful of oil. I took it to the counter when I first received and asked if it was a mistake and they had accidentally given me burnt wings, she said no, this is how we make it but you wouldn't notice it if you had gotten it tossed in the sauce - eeeek! Ordered the masterpiece. But some masterpiece, it wasn't dripping with massive cheese as depicted with ALL their pizzas. Especially, when we were watching and admiring the video they had playing behind the register counter and food prep area.... Quite a disappointment!! The young lady at the counter was distracted, unprofessional and un-attentive. We ordered two slices of pizza since it was going to take 40-45 minutes for the deep-dish Chicago style pizza and we were hungry! When she finally brought our pizza to the dirty table, she first sat a slice of pizza down on the table and then I had to ask her to wipe it down. She then took our pizza and sat it on the table across from us. Very begrudgingly wiped down the table, then slid our slices of pizza across the table. I was done! The pizza was barely warm and obviously reheated from having been cooked some time earlier. Still hungry and disappointed, we decided to order some wings. We obviously didn't learn our lesson. They too were reheated, sauce added, NOT fresh, and barely warm as well. Just as we were about to leave, the server, or whatever her position was, finally walked over and asked if there was anything else we needed. Wow! Found this little hidden gem in mission valley! The family atmosphere is amazing! I love that they have games in the corner, and the patio area is a great addition to enjoy the San Diego weather! The beer wine and liqour section is great and the girl working the front is very helpful! The pizza variation is incredible and modifications are simple, I couldn't ask for a better hidden gem! This is purely for their sub sandwich rating. I was craving a parm chicken sandwich and since I'm pregnant, was willing to drive far from the photos taken. I was sadly disappointed. The portion looks big when you get it but it's all fluff with bread and wayyy too much marinara sauce with a generic taste. I barely tasted any chicken (it was sooo thin) and compared to other places, I don't feel inclined to return. I also asked for pepperoncinis & mayo & never got it. The total price for a sandwich, fries & drink was wayyyyyy too much as well for lunch ($29). There are far cheaper places with real fillings of protein or better caliber of food.
