I called and made ordered ahead for their authentic Chicago style deep dish pizza because it takes about 40 minutes to bake. We got here around 7pm and there was no line and parking was easy in front. The crust was very thick and there was a lot of cheese. I had a nice cheese pull! A 10 inch can feed 2-3 people. I liked this better than Lefty's deep dish. It was nice inside was sport bar feel there were basket ball and baseball game going on and outdoor seating is available. I will be back to try their chicken wings it looked good.

Came here on a friends recommendation. Ordered ahead as the deep dish has a 40 minute bake time. Ordered the deep dish cheese with pepperoni. It had a nice cheese pull and was very filling. The dining area was large and had sports games on the televisions. There is also outside seating. Good Chicago Style Deep Dish Pizza.

My brother and I decided to try this place after he saw some ads on Instagram and got really excited for Chicago style deep dish pizza. The establishment itself is pretty nice, it has a bunch of board games, Django, and other games for what it look like kids to play. They had the soccer game on which was nice, and a nice little bar section with a decent beer selection. The staff were all very respectful and kind as well. The pizza took a little bit over 45 minutes to be ready which is normal for most deep dish pizzas. We had some jalapeño poppers before we got the pizza and they were lukewarm and not flavorful at all honestly. So I thought to myself well the Pizza's gotta be great... the pizza came out and had good presentation, but man it was such a letdown. We got the deep dish pizza with pepperoni and you could barely taste the pepperoni at all. The pizza was extremely oily and when I say oily I know a pizza supposed to be oily, but I mean really oily. When eating it the best word I can describe is it was just bland. I see a lot of good reviews for this place and to each their own for whoever enjoyed it. But if you're looking for Chicago deep dish style pizza, I really don't think this is it.

Dear diary, I was craving some pizza in the middle of the day and saw this place. When we walked in there was barely anyone there but the staff were inviting and explained the menu to us very well. We got the works pizza to split between 2 people and let me tell you we devoured it. Left no crumbs behind. We also got a beer and moscato perfect paring imo. It was a more laid back and casual atmosphere where we can enjoy our pizza and watch some sport on the tv. PS it's a pizza hard to mess up on that.

We ordered online and took about 40-45 minutes. It's best to do it this way if you're not dining in. We had the deep dish meat lovers. The actual pie itself in my opinion is good. No complaints except the sauce, I wished it was less. But from the cheese, toppings and how deep the pizza is legit. Ambiance is alright, not a lot of customers when we picked up. Plenty of parking.

Our waiter was nice. The mozzarella sticks were yummy! The pizza took forever and I didn't think it was that great. I wasn't even sure if the crust at the bottom was cooked. We ordered a tiramisu and it was still frozen when it came to the table. I was sadly disappointed because I was looking forward to having Chicago pizza since I had not had any after Pizzeria Uno had sadly closed.

I've been wanting to try @chicagobrospizzeria for the longest time--seriously craving their deep dish, and let me tell you... this cheesy, overloaded masterpiece did not disappoint. Not only am I living my best life with this slice of heaven, but I also got to film how they make it . Watching that cheese pull in real-time?. Oh, I will not forget their spinach calzones stuffed with my favorite ricotta cheese... absolutely divine

When we first walked in I didn't notice there was a bar to the left. We got two beers, a 14inch meat lovers deep dish and a Cesar salad. Total $64 Price was steep, but the pizza was 100% delicious! My husband said it was very close to Chicago style pizza. He was so happy. Overall, with my daughter. Husband and I we still have 3 slices left. The place was pretty chill, they have high chairs for your little one. I wish I would've noticed they had games on the side. It would've helped with my toddler: to keep her entertained. But we didn't notice until we left.

Came here for lunch randomly, I was craving buffalo wings, and they really nailed those! So crispy and hot, the sauce was good and the blue cheese was delicious. I also got the mini pie with cheese and pepperoni, so yummy and fresh. I couldn't finish it to myself but can't wait to heat up the rest later for dinner. Can't wait to come back and order the italian beef dip, suggestion from the guys there. They were also playing good music and not alot of people so it was nice relaxing lunch!

    Deeeep dish!

3.5 stars... We ordered this to-go previously and weren't impressed, but being from Chicago wanted to give this one another shot... Ordered the deep dish combo... lots of filling, great crust, and perfect cheese! Started with a salad and Chicago beer to round out the evening. Ambiance is strip mall cafe, service was at the counter, and prices are in line with the area. If we are looking for deep dish we now have 2 options in San Diego!

Do you sell beer by the pitcher?

    Yes we go

Are the slices of thin slice cut in wedges, or squares? The photos on the Website look like wedges.

    Wedges.

Is there a separate area for group of 40?

No there is not. It's one big dining room

Do they sell pizza by the slice?

yes we do sell pizza by the slice we have to two types of slices deep dish style and thin crust style.and we have a daily special for slices too it comes with two slices and a drink!

Has there been a change of ownership recently? If so, when? I think it's been nearly a year since my last visit. The food and service was exceptional!

Yes, there has been a change in ownership but I'm not sure when exactly it took place. It's definitely been a few months, at least. We have been since the change, though & we still really enjoyed the pizza!

Is this Chicago Brothers related to the "old" one that opened in La Mesa way back in the late 1970s or early 1980s?

This is not the original Chicago Brothers that has pizza and ribs. We asked the last owners several years back. Recently ownership changed but it still seems consistent. My husband loves Chicago deep dish and this is the closest to Chicago he can…

Is this place Dog friendly? (Outside patio)

Yes! Please bring your dogs to our outside seating area. We’ll even provide a water bowl for them!

We ordered the calamari fritti ($16.50), spaghetti allo scoglio ($25.50), fettuccine gamberi e pancetta ($27.50), and gnocchi alla salsiccia ($23.50). The spaghetti allo scoglio was definitely the standout for me. The seafood was super fresh and cooked perfectly, and I loved how the marinara sauce complemented the natural flavors of the seafood without overpowering them. The pasta was also cooked al dente. The calamari fritti was a great appetizer as well. The calamari had the perfect balance of crispy on the outside and tender and chewy on the inside. The fried pickled jalapeños were a really nice touch, although I wasn't a huge fan of the tomato dipping sauce. The calamari was still delicious without it though. The restaurant has rustic-chic decor and a really nice atmosphere, making it a great option for a date night or a nicer dinner. Service was friendly as well! Our server checked in regularly and made some light conversation with us. There is both street and lot parking available, although it can get pretty busy at night. They also offer happy hour from 4-6pm on weekdays.

My youngest got a "small" order of spaghetti Bolognese (there's no kids' menu), and she cleaned her plate. We also ordered the house bread, which our server explained is baked fresh to order, so it took a little extra time--but it was worth the wait. The seasoned olive oil dip was incredible, and the butter was rich and creamy. The only thing I personally missed was a side of balsamic vinegar. The drinks were just as impressive: a refreshing lavender mocktail for my oldest, a beautifully presented strawberry lemonade for my youngest, and their take on an Aperol Spritz for me. We substituted the tagliatelle ragu with pappardelle pasta since we already had fettuccine and I liked that a lot. When the pasta came out, our server asked if we wanted cheese on the pasta to which we said yes, and then he forgot to bring us cheese so we had to ask the hostess standing outside. Not sure if it was because we were quite literally the only table outside.

Nothing was necessarily bad. it was just surprisingly bland. For a dish that's usually rich and comforting, this one felt forgettable. Pesto Pasta: 7/10 This was decent and definitely better than the ossobuco, but it wasn't anything I'd go out of my way to order again. The pesto was enjoyable, and I appreciated that it wasn't overly acidic. Beyond that, it didn't really stand out. The cocktails were good, the service was fantastic, and the complimentary limoncello cake was delicious.
