The Caesar salad was delicious as was the Icelandic cod. Gelato after dinner was a good choice. Go early for dinner or make reservations for weekend. We'll be back.

This was a traditional Italian restaurant that had a standard menu with homemade pasta and a few specials. There seemed to be a large party or event area on the left side upon entering and a more casual dining room to the right. The service was kind and friendly as we only ordered appetizers. This was also BYOB. They start with a breadbasket. It came out very hot. It was very tasty. The crust was crisp while the inside was soft and had a nice texture. For appetizers, the eggplant stack ($15) and the Prince Edward Island mussels ($17) were ordered. The eggplant stack consisted of fried eggplant, fresh mozzarella, and roasted peppers with a balsamic glaze. This was solid. The eggplant was crispy and very flavorful. It paired nicely with the mozzarella. The only issue for me on this dish was the roasted peppers. They came out cold and were very thick. It just seemed off when eating the rest of this. The mussels came with tomatoes, basil, roasted garlic, and white wine. There were about two dozen or so mussels. This was okay at best. The sauce lacked flavor even with the thin garlic pieces. The mussels were tasty, but the sauce left a lot to be desired. Will I go back? Probably.

Great ambiance and friendly staff. The pasta was a simple dish yet incredible-cooked perfectly and just the right amount of garlic. The tiramisu was also a great dessert. Would definitely recommend this place!

Delicious and fantastic service - plus a BYO! I certainly would recommend any app on their menu. No complaints at all, worth checking out!

I ordered the Mahi-mahi special which was served over pasta. It didn't taste like what I was expecting but still flavorful. The restaurant had an inviting ambiance. Savor was one of the few restaurants opened on a Monday, but it wasn't very busy which was great. For an appetizer, I ordered the caprese which had thick cuts of mozzarella and beefsteak tomatoes, basil, and olive oil, drizzle of balsamic glaze. I am obsessed with balsamic, so I should've asked for more on the side. Everything tasted extremely fresh, but the basil tasted as if it was perfectly harvested. For my entree, I planned to get the NY Strip but made a last minute change when I heard the Mahi-mahi was one of the specials for the day. It was dressed with sun-dried tomatoes, garlic, and asparagus which ultimately won me over. If I ordered it again, I would ask for the pasta to be served on the side. Our server was very attentive and helped us with last minute accommodations to our orders. I did request a side of risotto to come out with my entree which never hit the table, but I didn't even notice. There was enough food in front of me. I would return again.

Savor has been able to be open again, after being affected by the fire on Main St. up the block at King Tut, luckily they were only closed for 3 weeks. I'm sure for Rob and staff it felt like 3 months. We went yesterday, was so nice to see the umbrellas up and outside seating ready for guests. We opted for inside seats, near the windows (always great to people watch) for our lunch "date". Can't even count the number of times we have all eaten here, I personally must have been here 50+ times over the years, (not including showers, rehearsal dinners, repasts, and catering) who knows about the other three? Anyways, yesterday, did not disappoint as in any other time. Maybe the smiles on Rob, Lisa and staff were bigger than usual? Salad's were super fresh with dressings that popped, chicken succulent and shrimp cooked to perfection. The home-made rigatoni was al dente with the best vodka sauce in town. Having two sweet tooth's with us, off-course there would be dessert with lunch! The fluffiest, lightest, most-delicious cheesecake with a thick decadent raspberry sauce on top (I tried half of a bite, amazing) and who can pass up home made cannoli's? So glad Savor can be back in the rotation

Known for their homemade pasta. Great location in downtown Somerville. Def recommend making a reservation. BYOB. Good food, the sausage and pasta dish is my favorite. Mussels are good, could use a bit more garlic in my opinion. Overall - good experience after going a few times.

The special salad of the night, fresh water cress with feta, red onion, craisins & nuts. Yumm!

Upon entering, each guest is warmly greeted by the host / waitress as family and seated. Each table is served house made bread before the meal. We called ahead, and the restaurant gave us a quote and helped us set up a prix fixe family-style menu with several options for each course, which made everything easy for a large group. The service was excellent, especially considering the size of our party. The food came out smoothly, and the staff was attentive throughout the meal. On to the food - The bread was incredible warm, soft, and so good that I ended up taking some home. Food highlights: - The calamari was crispy, tender, and one of the best appetizers we had. - The salmon was another winner. - The chicken parmesan was soft, steak, and other entrees were all solid and everyone at the table seemed happy with their meals. The biggest surprise was dessert. I expected the tiramisu to be my favorite, and it was very good, but the standout was the warm apple crostata (apple dessert) served with vanilla ice cream. I totally ate more of that than i should. It was absolutely delicious and ended up being my favorite dessert of the night. Overall, Maggiano's did a fantastic job accommodating a large birthday celebration. I'd definitely return for another special occasion.

We had a nice, relatively secluded area in the restaurant for our party of around 25-30 people. We were started off with hot & cold antipasto served family style: Tomato & onion bruschetta - a simple dish, but still super yummy! fresh mozzarella, roasted peppers & olives - again, standard, but well executed fried calamari - crispy and delish! served with some scrumptious marinara sauce! Portobella mushrooms sauteed with white wine, garlic & seasoned bread crumbs - this one was the surprise of the appetizer round, great stuff! We then got a round of mixed greens with balsamic vinaigrette - simple, but refreshing after the app round of cheeses and breaded things. For my mean, I opted for the filet mignon, served with a delightful balsamic glaze, a vegetable medley, and whipped potatoes - peeeerfectly cooked to order (medium rare), a really nicely sized portion, a real winner! Aside from a birthday cake that was brought from an outside vendor, we were treated to an assortment of in-house desserts, like cannoli, cheesecake, and tiramisu, all served with tea, coffee, cappuccino or espresso. I can definitely understand why my parents have been raving about this place (and that a mutual friend of my parents and the birthday boy/man recently had their own 70th birthday party there). A bit of a schlep from the city, but it really was a lovely night with great food, plentiful drinks, and a bounty of good times, laughs, and cheers.

This was...confusing to say the least as other parties were already seated outside but there were many high top tables remaining. Service continued to be mostly a miss. Not knowledgeable about the menu and brief to the point of feeling dismissive (it didn't feel intentionally rude, but it didn't feel particularly helpful either). The food sucked. I had a gnocchi special which had a flavorful sauce but the gnocchi themselves were not the right texture, and the sauce itself had these big tomato wedges that were barely cooked down (think of like an orange wedge you might get post-meal, they were that big). These tomato wedges also found their way into the pappardelle bolognese. They weren't very good their either, but the real problem with the bolognese was that it just wasn't good at all. It tasted like someone had stirred some ground beef around in a post with tomato puree for 20 minutes. Absolutely not the rich and complex sauce that it should be. At this price point ($40 a plate!) the food or the service needs to be better. I will never return for a sit down dinner, but I still might try a lunch special.
