Friend and I were craving some pasta and stopped by this restaurant along the street. Their free bread and olive oil was a great starter, and they were happy to refill for us twice. I got their chicken and spinach pasta special, while my friend got a garlic tomato linguine. I wish I got the linguine- the pasta was perfectly al dente, and the simple flavors really shined. I wouldn't recommend the special I had, not the tiramisu, which tasted like it just came out of the fridge. Other than that, the atmosphere felt like a dine in family restaurant which was nicely dimly lit, and peaceful. That's it from me :^)

This was a traditional Italian restaurant that had a standard menu with homemade pasta and a few specials. There seemed to be a large party or event area on the left side upon entering and a more casual dining room to the right. The service was kind and friendly as we only ordered appetizers. This was also BYOB. They start with a breadbasket. It came out very hot. It was very tasty. The crust was crisp while the inside was soft and had a nice texture. For appetizers, the eggplant stack ($15) and the Prince Edward Island mussels ($17) were ordered. The eggplant stack consisted of fried eggplant, fresh mozzarella, and roasted peppers with a balsamic glaze. This was solid. The eggplant was crispy and very flavorful. It paired nicely with the mozzarella. The only issue for me on this dish was the roasted peppers. They came out cold and were very thick. It just seemed off when eating the rest of this. The mussels came with tomatoes, basil, roasted garlic, and white wine. There were about two dozen or so mussels. This was okay at best. The sauce lacked flavor even with the thin garlic pieces. The mussels were tasty, but the sauce left a lot to be desired. Will I go back? Probably.

Lunch and dinner is great here! Would definitely recommend. Very peaceful and service is attentive. I love the rigatoni vodka with a chicken cutlet on top with cheese!

Great ambiance and friendly staff. The pasta was a simple dish yet incredible-cooked perfectly and just the right amount of garlic. The tiramisu was also a great dessert. Would definitely recommend this place!

Delicious and fantastic service - plus a BYO! I certainly would recommend any app on their menu. No complaints at all, worth checking out!

I ordered the Mahi-mahi special which was served over pasta. It didn't taste like what I was expecting but still flavorful. The restaurant had an inviting ambiance. Savor was one of the few restaurants opened on a Monday, but it wasn't very busy which was great. For an appetizer, I ordered the caprese which had thick cuts of mozzarella and beefsteak tomatoes, basil, and olive oil, drizzle of balsamic glaze. I am obsessed with balsamic, so I should've asked for more on the side. Everything tasted extremely fresh, but the basil tasted as if it was perfectly harvested. For my entree, I planned to get the NY Strip but made a last minute change when I heard the Mahi-mahi was one of the specials for the day. It was dressed with sun-dried tomatoes, garlic, and asparagus which ultimately won me over. If I ordered it again, I would ask for the pasta to be served on the side. Our server was very attentive and helped us with last minute accommodations to our orders. I did request a side of risotto to come out with my entree which never hit the table, but I didn't even notice. There was enough food in front of me. I would return again.

Savor has been able to be open again, after being affected by the fire on Main St. up the block at King Tut, luckily they were only closed for 3 weeks. I'm sure for Rob and staff it felt like 3 months. We went yesterday, was so nice to see the umbrellas up and outside seating ready for guests. We opted for inside seats, near the windows (always great to people watch) for our lunch "date". Can't even count the number of times we have all eaten here, I personally must have been here 50+ times over the years, (not including showers, rehearsal dinners, repasts, and catering) who knows about the other three? Anyways, yesterday, did not disappoint as in any other time. Maybe the smiles on Rob, Lisa and staff were bigger than usual? Salad's were super fresh with dressings that popped, chicken succulent and shrimp cooked to perfection. The home-made rigatoni was al dente with the best vodka sauce in town. Having two sweet tooth's with us, off-course there would be dessert with lunch! The fluffiest, lightest, most-delicious cheesecake with a thick decadent raspberry sauce on top (I tried half of a bite, amazing) and who can pass up home made cannoli's? So glad Savor can be back in the rotation

Known for their homemade pasta. Great location in downtown Somerville. Def recommend making a reservation. BYOB. Good food, the sausage and pasta dish is my favorite. Mussels are good, could use a bit more garlic in my opinion. Overall - good experience after going a few times.

The special salad of the night, fresh water cress with feta, red onion, craisins & nuts. Yumm!

How about Zero APV refreshers so every teetotaler can toast just like the big kids. My grandparents used to call this subtrafuge a "Shirley Temple." We started with wine to match our dinners, the selection is good, nothing great and market priced. The salads were okay, and dressing was too much and drowned the lettuce. The entrees were presented well. The filet ordered medium rare was a fully cooked piece. Oh well, mass produced food on an assembly line kitchen in full view. The planked salmon was well cooked too as picture represents. Server did not ask salmon preparation selection. We each ordered one of the dessert items which are cake or similar in a shot glass with frosting or mousse or some other topping. They were good, again nothing great. No specially prepared sauces for the entrees to make things pop or standout, just basic dinner fare. On a positive note, food was much better than the Longhorn steakhouse chain or similar establishment.

I have no idea how they do it but their fish is incredibly silky. We got several dishes- branzino fish soup, steamed halibut, Wuva black cod trio pro, and bok choy with mushrooms. Everything was so delicious. We got no spice and no sour for the soup and I thought maybe it would be lacking in flavor, but the soup was delicious and the fish was silky. The WuVa black cod trio had so much food- fish, shrimp, chicken, veggies, and rice. I loved the variety. The steamed halibut was delicious and barely had any bones. It reminded me of the steamed fish you can get in Chinatown restaurants but way tastier. The bok choy with shiitake mushrooms was delicious too and pungent. Overall, I was really impressed with Wu's Fish House and would be back again!

There are some things that can be improved as below. A beautiful space and well used space. There were tables of various sizes including private parties. Service was professional, timely, and friendly. The owner was walking around chatting as well. They have a good sized menu with varied food choices and a good sized wine list as well. 1. French onion soup - Good broth, lots of cheese on top, no big loaf of bread inside which is a good sign. Slightly above average for me. 2. Zucchini, fried - Thought these would be thinner and crunchier but there could be improvements here. Good flavor; some with too much salt; some soggy. 3. Octopus appetizer - Solid with good grilled flavor that is not overbearing. 4. Fig and burrata - Good refreshing dish; simple 5. Beet salad - Large portion. You have to like beets and strawberries to appreciate this dish. Good balance of flavors with the other appetizers. 6. Crab cakes - One of the best ones I've had. Minimal filler which made the cakes very flavorful. Also not too salty, which I appreciate. 7. Crab ravioli - Loads of flavor here with good tasting sauce and the right portion size. 8. Charred broccoli (side) - Wish it was a bit more crunchy but the charred flavor is nice 9. Fries - Good but not great. Could be a bit crunchier. Good size though. 10. Grilled Lobster - Big size, great grilled taste, loved it. 11. Tiramisu - Good portion and good mix of texture. Not alcoholic. 12. Baklava - Large portion size to be split (or not).
