We celebrated our daughter's graduation from FSU at Savour and it was one of the most amazing evening we've ever had! First time here and though their was a wait Drew was very kind while we waited. Kim kept us in the loop regarding getting our table ready and we were happy they went the extra mile to accommodate us on a graduation night. Now we are seated and time to get this part started and Sam our waiter did not disappoint. This small, quaint location was the best service we have ever received. Overall the service was OK very nice waiter they were a little bit slow on cleaning our plates and the manager never came around and talked to us to see how everything was. Waiter asked if he came around and we saw him visit others, but no visit. We sat at the high table top in bar area, very cozy but definitely too close to other table with covid happening. Just spent a wonderful birthday dinner with my wife. From the moment we walked in and were greeted by Kim (one of the owners), the complete experience could not have been any better! Their restaurant is elegant without being pretentious. Kim spent some time when she seated us to talk about it being my birthday and how I had a complimentary dessert in store. She is engaging and charming. She told us that our server Jessi was one of their best and that does not do her justice. Jessi was delightful and her knowledge of the menu was helpful and impressive. She took time with us and made us feel like VIPs. We took her advice on recommendations for both our appetizer and our entrees. They were mouthwateringly delicious and paired so well with the red blend wine we chose. After our meal we asked to speak with Kim about our experience and even though they were busy she spent ample time with us as we shared our experience with her. We were looking for a nice restaurant to celebrate a birthday with friends. We'd not been to Savour previously - our problem. What a wonderful meal. The atmosphere was great, the service was great and the food was fabulous. We started with adult beverages which were quite nice. Appetizers - we ordered the fried green tomatoes with barrata and chimichurrie - fantastic. Burnt ends were tender and savory. BBQ shrimp were tangy and cooked perfectly. Entrees - two of us ordered Steak Frites 12 oz NY Strip perfectly cooked to medium rare. They came with some greens and fried potatoes (over salted). One diner ordered the double pork chop which was super tender (brined nicely). Lastly a miso redfish over fried rice (soggy rice) - it was a delicious flavor profile. We were intrigued by the Special of the evening - Buffalo meatloaf. We ordered one for the table - it was fabulous. Seasoning on point - juicy and exceeded everyone's expectations. Our server was great - attentive and familiar with the dishes. All were stuffed to the gills but we had to try dessert - one of each. Chocolate peanut butter ganache pie w Oreo crust was heavenly. Chocolate/orange Pot au Crème - scrumptious, Lemon Bread pudding w blueberries - yum, Bananas Foster brûlée - another home run. We had a great time. The dining room was packed on Thursday night. Went to Savour for dinner after work. The ambiance is nice, inside it feels like you are in Europe and service was great. The reason this i do not give this a 5 is because the main dishes were ok. I ordered the Mizo glazed redfish and the fish was a bit over cooked and the rice was plain and did not taste like bok Choy at all. Entrees we're over priced. read more

My daughter and I ate at Savour for a special treat. When we got there, we figured out that she had made the reservation for the following week but the hostess was so nice and gracious and found a way to seat us. We started with the Caesar and wedge salads and they were excellent! For our entrees we both had the Grits and Greens (made from local and organic vegetables) and both enjoyed it so much. With our entree we ordered accoutrements of the roasted broccoli and the brussel sprouts. The brussel sprouts were the best we have ever had! Seasoned just right. The service was excellent. To celebrate my birthday, I asked the family if we could go to one of my favorite local gems for dinner: Savour. I love their menu, the ambiance, and their attention to detail, but most importantly, how the owner, Drew D. McLeod, his wife Kim, the amazing Chef Brian, and all the staff always go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and special. Upon arrival, awaiting at our table was a hand-written birthday card for me from Drew & Kim, which was an especially thoughtful gesture, and a prime example of why this restaurant stands apart. We started with the charcuterie board and an order of their Garlic & Rosemary Broiled Gulf Shrimp - and if you like NOLA BBQ shrimp, you're going to LOVE these. The sauce is so divine I had to remind myself that I was in an upscale establishment and licking the bowl would likely be frowned upon (which I totally would have if I'd taken it to go, LOL). There was also a chicken meatball app on special that night, which were so deliciously moist and had just the right element of heat to give them a slight "kick" at the finish. I ordered a "Superman" cocktail (their drinks all have superhero names/themes), which came complete with an "S" shaped ice cube (for "Superman," "Savour," "Spectacular," or all of the above, I don't know). Now for dinner... I tell myself *every* *time* that I'm going to branch out and order something other than my favorite: the Bouillabaisse. I reneged on that again... it's just SO perfect, with mounds of perfectly cooked seafood and loads of flavor. And since everyone else at my table ordered other dishes, I decided they could just pay the "birthday tax" and let me try a sample of each. The hubby ordered the beef rib special, which was massive and fall-off-the-bone tender. My son ordered the shrimp and grits, which is always a fan favorite (and may be even better when eaten as leftovers which "disappeared" the next day ), and my daughter got the steak frites, which - OMG - I rarely order steak when dining out (it's hard to beat the Josh's Premium Meats we have at home), but I'd order that next time... well, if I'm honest, history would suggest I would if the bouillabaisse is off menu or sold out. The steak had a perfectly seared and seasoned crust and was cooked beautifully - and the texture of the fries was spot on. For dessert, I went with the crème brûlée - decadent and creamy and delicious. My only recommendation would be to please! bring back the Korean Burnt Ends appetizer - that dish is mind-blowingly good and I was hoping to see it back on the menu. I can't say enough good things about this amazing establishment, so I am looking forward to eventually trying their new restaurant - Sliders: A Sandwich Revolution - to see if the culinary magic extends to the casual dining experience as well. They even asked how many years, and after seeing everyone rave about how they brought champagne/dessert and made it special, I just knew that was the spot. But when we arrived nothing was special. We celebrated our anniversary at Savour recently. We were greeted, then led to a very special, reserved seating area. A greeting card was presented, hand written, welcoming us and wishing a happy anniversary. The note was accompanied by two complimentary flutes of champagne. The salad course was superb. House-made dressing and flavour were a portend of what was to come. The entrees change often due to the use of local, fresh, and seasonal ingredients. We had the filet and sea scallops. Very beautifully presented along with being perfectly prepared and seasoned. Desserts and coffee completed our experience with a warm farewell from our waitress and hostess. My wife and I just spent the day crawling through the wonderful caves in the Florida Caverns State Park, so we wanted to treat ourselves to a great meal and drinks. We jumped into the car and drove an hour to a little French restaurant in Tallahassee where we've heard tales of an escargot pot pie. It turns out that the tales were true. The pie was absolutely divine and redefined what I think of escargot. After our app we received my shrimp and grits and Tanya got the gulf coast bouillabaisse. Highly recommend both. Flavor built on layers of great flavor. The chef truly knows what he/she is doing. Lastly, our bartender Victor me the best old fashion I've ever had. My wife liked it so much that she drank half and she doesn't drink which explains why she's currently asleep. Savour has everything you want in a great restaurant; great food, professional friendly knowledgeable staff and a pretty cool atmosphere. My wife and I had our first date at this location when it was still "Avenue". We were very sad to see Avenue go. Last night we came here for the first time under the new name for a very special anniversary dinner at Savour, which couldn't have been better. The staff was amazing. The food was well beyond expectation. We started off with the charcuterie board, which was very good. The flavors were very mild. For dinner I had the special lamb shank which was fall apart meat with a great sauce served on a bed of goat cheese mashed potatoes. My wife had the fillet. For dessert my wife had the bananas Foster crème brûlée, and I had the Keylime pie which was very good and very traditional. We will definitely be coming back.
