Visited this spot late night on a Saturday after going to Cru (which was wack) & this helped redeem my night! The music was old school hip hop & R&B, the fried catfish and the onion rings were pretty good & it was a dope vibe. The drinks are good but NOT strong * BEWARE!!! The only thing is the servers could be a little more patient & they charged extra for the live music if you ordered food and I wasn't even there for the live music. This is a cute spot for a date night or to hangout with friends. I went in the evening for dinner. The drink menu is full of surprises. I had the Sangria and my hubby had the Georgia Peach. Both drinks were amazing. We sat at the bar and our bartender/waiter was Jeremiah. He did an excellent job of taking care of us. We were there early in the evening so the vibe was really chill. There were a few other folks there enjoying an after work wind down with a hookah. The food was pretty good. I had the salmon rice bowl. The glaze was a little too sweet but the salmon was cooked perfectly. The vegetables were also cooked really well. My sister n law was visiting from NY and wanted to get out of the house for a while so we ended up coming to this place, we were a little disappointed to have to be seated on the deck because of the heat but almost every table had a reserved sign on it so we ended up at a table in what seem to have been apart of the parking lot. My party was there and I never made it in and we had a time on the porch ya'll! The music was good and it got even better with the live entertainment that Saturday night. I went here last night for an alumni holiday party and had a BLAST. This place was a whole vibe (I hate that saying, but I digress)... Anyway, the waitress working our area was super on point and very nice. I can't remember her name, but she was a tiny little thing. The music was super awesome. Prices were super reasonable. Music by the band and the DJ put me in my feelings (which is a good thing). Sometimes I wanna jam, sometimes I wanna reminisce to some slow shit. The band and the DJ had a perfect mixture of both. I first met my lady at this spot over 2 years ago. We recently decided to visit the place again and it was very disappointing. Not only do they not have a full bar (multiple vodkas, tequilas, bourbons, and whiskeys) but some bottles displayed were empty. This place brings in some excellent bands. I recommend it just for the music. They have a decent happy hour with good prices - normally. Once they were out of a common tequila. The food is served plentiful and hot. However I made the mistake of ordering collared greens, which were described as "cooked with Turkey" were obviously out of a can, drained to complete dryness and cold! I read the reviews and was expecting way more than what I experienced. I went on a Wednesday for karaoke & crablegs. The crab legs were good but not worth the price. You get 2 crab legs for $10. For $16 you get 2 crab legs, corn, potatoes, and sausage. Crab legs were skimpy and the corn and potatoes were tasteless. We also had drinks, they were good but expensive. My $12.50 margarita with 1800 tequila was served in a small plastic cup!! Then the bartender charges us 20% gratuity for 2 ppl. Very nice bar and grille in the neighborhood. Went for the first time couple of days back on a weekday. They have a live band and Karaoke which was awesome. The live band and Karaoke is actually 5 stars and the restaurant is 4 star. The wait time for the food was little delay. They do need more waitress for the crowd that they have. You receive your food and drinks faster by walking to the bar, which was very inconvenient being that we had a table. Other then that, I enjoyed my time there and would absolutely go back again. The draft Beers and well drinks were reasonably priced. I had Crab Cakes which were good in taste. For the cigar smoker there is a patio where you can enjoy your smoke with a good bourbon or scotch. They also have Hookah with different flavors. Atmosphere was very laid back and decor was nice. Great place, nice vibe, good service and delicious food. The management and staff are great at Savoy. They have ample free parking. I like how the crowd can vary with different ages. It is definitely a place that can accommodate all age groups. This place was so nice! A great place to relax and vibe on a week night when you aren't feeling up to more urban clubbing. They had live music when we went and the lineup was great and engaging. It was a low key type of vibe but the owner did not hesitate to ensure we were well attended to. He introduced himself and made sure we were taken care of like VIP. Let me tell you how much of a difference it makes when you feel like the "Boss" is watching out for your pleasure AND safety. It was myself and a few other females and one guy friend that rolled in on a Thursday night exhausted from the previous night activities on the strip. This place was dimly lit, spacious, music was on point and inside and outside seating with equal bar access. The owner later revealed that he recently renovated and added the patio (which I really loved, being in GA on a slightly warm summer night) This venue is not close to Atlanta but on the opposite side but definitely worth the drive. I would say more of a mature crowd, leaving the early 20 somethings to party hard, and the mature crowd to have a great time laughing, drinking and enjoying life. I'm looking forward to revisiting this place upon my return. Price and vibe is right and I will definitely see Savoy again! read more

We were at the local Office Depot and hungry...so we popped into Savoy. Even though we live about ten minutes from Savoy, each time we've thought about trying it in the past, there has been a long line and we just haven't had the energy to stand in line or to stand up once inside. We popped in at the perfect time, because there was no line, and the hostess promptly greeted us, let us know there was going to be a comedy show (apparently a regular Thursday night event "at 8:30...ish!"), and seated us close to the stage. We liked the atmosphere but found the food lacking. The food was about $2-3 overpriced per item and the menu options were less than we'd like. We ordered the wings (Cajun honey), the fish (catfish, we chose fried) and grits, and the salmon. The wing sauce would be better if it were thicker; it was kinda watery and didn't really stick to the wings...had lots of potential tho. The fries that came with the wings were literally the best thing delivered to our table, other than the water (we have no idea why the water was so delicious...maybe a sprinkling of crack? ‍). Anyhoo, the fish (I personally would have liked grilled, but my husband ordered fried) was too greasy for me (as most fried foods are for me), but he thought it could've been fried harder and needed more seasoning. I deeply disliked the sauce which was covering the grits, that I would've thought were "just okay" otherwise. The salmon needed seasoning, and I asked for salt but was told they didn't have any (say what?!). For the record, the salmon was well-cooked, but just lacked seasoning. The garlic mashed potatoes that came with the salmon was literally the best thing on my plate, and the green beans qualify for the worst I've ever had. The atmosphere was great! The crowd was energetic and grown. The comedians were cool, and because the crowd was smaller than most Thursdays (so they said) the comedians interacted A LOT with those of us in attendance. It was more friendly banter than roasting anyone. In terms of service, the staff was friendly but the refilling of drinks (water in our case) could have been quicker and just checking on us in general. I would have expected our speed of service if the house was packed. Given the small crowd, the service left something to be desired. The comedians were good. For a fee show, this is the best you can ever expect! Overall, we'd definitely come back but would only order wings (trying new sauces) and maybe some other items (like catfish tacos) or drinks that we didn't try this first time. It seems a cool spot to meet up with fiends. Thy had hookah pipes and a nice outdoor patio area, none of which we got to try. One last thing: the parking lot is fairly small. This place is in serious need of some customer service coaching. The menu has Stella listed as a draft. We asked for Stella Artois. Why did we receive a bottle? When we brought it our waitress attention she clearly didn't know that a Stella beer full name is Stella Artois, despite the fact that the draft handle is in plain site. My drink crown on the rocks came in a extra small glass as I looked around and saw other cocktails in shorties. I am still trying to figure out why glass didn't have the same consistency as the other guest. From that point on the experience became lack more challenging to deal with. read more

8/26/23 I live in Stockbridge, GA. I had friends visiting from NC and I wanted to take them out to hear live music & have a good time. I typically go into the city to dine and visit quality restaurants and bars. A friend recommended I try a place closer to home, which led me to Savoy on Mt. Zion Road. The environment was fine, but the food, service, experience, and quality of the management staff were subpar. I ordered the Bang Bang shrimp. The dish was SO salty it was inedible. I tried one and had my guests try one to ensure I wasn't wrong about the inedibility. I was not. Here's my experience from there - The Manager said she could not take the item off the menu because I ate some. She then said " I can get you something else", so I ordered a side salad. She charged me for the salad even though she made the offer seem like a "fix" for the lousy food. - My guest sneakily paid the check because I'd been treating them all weekend. When I reviewed the check, I was surprised to see the salad charged. I was also surprised to see an 18% gratuity automatically added. My guest paid an additional tip not realizing 18% had already been added. Given the fact that the service was subpar and the food was subpar, I also wanted the "additional tip" refunded. The "Manager" then had the "General Manager" come out to speak to me about the bill/experience. He asked me to step outside with him because the club was too loud for him to hear. - The General Manager was unpolished, unprofessional, rude and belligerent. Definitely not someone I'd want representing my business. I'm not sure why they continually wasted my time escalating the issue to each other when they had no plan, authority, or capability to resolve any of my concerns. - I remained calm, direct, and descriptive in my conversation with the General Manager. He is a poor listener (talking over me instead of listening); did not like what I was saying about the unprofessionalism, so he informed me I could not go back inside. He refused to let me back in to retrieve my handbag (which had cash, credit cards, AND my car key inside). He then threw out my friends who did absolutely nothing and did not retrieve my handbag - just left it at the table unattended. Anything could have happened. I called 911 and when I did the on-site security person allowed my friend to go grab my handbag. During this, the police officer on site walked over and asked me about the situation. - The police officer at the site was very professional. He listened to my gripe and agreed with my points, but indicated my issue would be civil if I wanted recourse. Overall the experience felt ghetto and unprofessional. This place is a restaurant and hang out spot. They have three floors one floor is a rooftop deck where you can sit and chill and eat and drink or smoke hookah's or anything else. The inside has tables a bar and a area for live music. The singer Erika kept the crowd dancing. She was very good. The band was awesome. After the band played a DJ played lively music and people got up danced. The outside patio area have a DJ as well with tables and a bar and a small area to dance. I ordered wings to eat. My friend ordered shrimp tacos. Both were OK they served their purpose. The service was kind of slow. Overall the experience was good. It was a laid back atmosphere where many people were enjoying themselves. The only thing I did not like was all of the smoke from the hookahs and whatever else people were smoking. read more

I'm a fan of this spot. They have a spoken word night, Karaoke night, crab legs night, open mic night. Hell you name it and they've got a night for it. The drinks are decent, but I feel like the food sucks. I've been on three occasions were they were out of the food my friends wanted to order and it can take them an hour to prepare aome items. I stick with the wings, when I do order food, and they aren't anything to write home about. I would eat before I come. For this reason I give a 4 Star instead of 5 for the overall appeal of the club. Definately enjoyed myself great food and band was popping! My only compliant is we had to sit in the patio until a table became available( so make reservations). I did not like the dj in the patio area, we wanted to listen to the band. The patio is set up like another club separate from the main area when the band is. I recommend to ditch the dj in the back and connect a speaker so we can hear the band in the back too. Last night was my first time at Savoy. The live music and DJ had me dancing all night. I absolutely loved the energy in the building. The servers were nice and management was present, walking around checking on guest. I had a problem with seating and management handled it with a smile. The only negative I have with Savoy is the bar. I should have looked at the liquor they serve before ordering a drink. If you enjoy premium liquor this is not the bar for you. He responded the very next day and was very accommodating.
