Beef Kabob Baked Potato Fried Cauliflower Fried mushrooms
    Carol L.

We decided on Pilgreen's to celebrate my husband's birthday. It was just the two of us and there was no wait and got seated right away. Our waiter came over and was very nice and gave us the info on the birthday discount. That was a nice surprise. We got an appetizer of fried mushrooms and cauliflower- it was nice and crispy but not worth $15. I ordered the beef kabobs MW and the came out MRare, I couldn't eat it so I got it to go so I could cook it more at home. The baked potatoes good and the salad was bagged lettuce- disappointing. My husband ordered fried sirloin with gravy and mashed potatoes. The meat was ok until it was dipped completely in some brown gravy that was at best canned or in a jar. The mashed potatoes plain but tasted ok. Service was good but I think that might be our last time giving it a try and I hate that cause it's literally 5 miles from our house.

We went here to celebrate a friend's birthday. First of all thus place is huge! They were extremely busy. Also they don't open the doors until 5pm. So when you arrive b4 5pm there are a lot of people waiting in cars til it opens. So be ready for that. The prices are pretty reasonable and they do not charge gratuity automatically like many other restaurants do. So we at the table ordered the 3 combo appetizers which included fried cauliflower, fried mushrooms, and fried onion rings. I really enjoyed the cauliflower and onion rings. The fried mushrooms were very very greasy. The vegetables were also very bland but I still liked them. For my meal, I ordered the Loaded Chicken. It came with grilled onions, bacon, and cheese on top. It was moist and flavorful. The other ladies ordered the seafood platter to with they said it was very greasy. We had to call the manager about the food. In my opinion she did not handle our situation with any type of grace. She was not apologetic AT ALL. That left a very bad taste in my mouth. The experience overall was ok. Not sure it I will be back again.

    Cheesesteak was really good.

Service is amazing and workers are friendly. The food can be a hit or miss. Sometimes we go and it's awful, and other times it's very good!

Immediately upon entering there's a variety of booths, tables and bar seating. We opted for a table on the opposite side of the DJ so we could hear each other talk. Service was from Mimi who was very helpful in recommending the sides for our entree. We ended up ordering the jerk wings (appetizer), turkey wings with collards, dressing and candied yams. I ate the wings as my entree and we shared the sides. The presentation was great. Real plates & flatware. The sides came in their own bowls so the food doesn't touch. We were so hungry I didn't snap a picture but just imagine it! Or go try it for yourself when you're in the area. 5 Stars! The strip mall entrance and parking a bit of a challenge. Full review below: I went in Saturday afternoon. It was lightly busy but fully staffed so help/attention came quick. Dining solo so I opted for a seat at the bar. Bartender was super attentive. Didn't have to wait long for a menu or to place my order. Also, she regularly checked in on how everything was. I ordered the Yellow Diamond Martini ($15) and it was delicious. I got the fried green tomatoes (4 pieces) for $11.95. Complimentary very tall cup of water. The tomatoes were a little small so this is definitely an appetizer/light snack...which is A-OK for me. It came out shortly after my martini was ready. Overall, minus tip, it came to $29. Music was playing through a speaker but not too loud. People could comfortably have a conversation. There are multiple tvs throughout. I appreciated that some of them were showing stuff other than sports. One monitor, near the restroom, is devoted to Culturistic Kitchen content, which is smart. I did use the restroom. It's two stalls and two sinks. The non-handicap/ADA stall is tiny. I'm like a medium-sized woman who is 5'7 and even I was like yikes. When the place is busy/packed I could see a wait or a line for the bathroom. The one major downside...which is not Culturistic Kitchen's fault is that the strip mall is not easy to get out of and onto the main road (Jodeco Rd) especially if you're turning left. The parking lots for all the shops, which are great businesses, should be bigger than it is. Don't be surprised if, during peak times, you may have to park 1-2 doors down from the restaurant. Overall, I would go again. I don't go out to eat that often (there's food at the house ) but if I want a good cocktail and a light snack or try some of their regular food items, I would come again. More than likely, I'd choose an off-peak time because I wouldn't want to experience it at near full capacity but that's just me.
