I'm not sure how many tea houses are in NW Arkansas, but I do know they have quite the competition with Savoy. Every time I am in town I make a point to go get the Ozark Sunset ice tea, which is some sort of strawberry peach blend of goodness. They always have a ton of samples to try, and if there's something you're unsure of, they'll brew it fresh for you while you wait. They have hundreds of flavors of loose leaf tea, from earl grey to birthday cake. On my most recent trip I was lucky enough to meet the boss lady and executive chef, Erin Rowe. She was happy to answer any questions you may have had about brewing tea fresh, and how long it lasts. I really wish Las Vegas had a similar place, however it fits perfectly in Fayetteville, Arkansas. read more

If you are a tea lover, you MUST come to Savoy! I live on the west coast now, but am from NWA. Every time I'm home to visit, I always make sure to swing by Savoy! They have tea and some food you can order at the counter, but the real spotlight is on the loose leaf teas that they sell. They have tasting stations where you can sample several of their teas. They have a wall of sample packs that have enough loose leaf tea for 4-6 servings which is the best way to try some new teas to see what you like. The sample packs are color coordinated and organized by type of tea which makes it simple to find what type you are looking for. Each sample pack has a jar underneath where you can smell the scent of the tea. The sample packs are buy 4 get the 5th free. If you find a flavor you love, you can come back and buy a bigger tin of that tea! You can bring the empty tin back to refill it with more loose leaf tea and you get a discount for reusing your tin. They have such an amazing system and a really cute ambience to enjoy while you shop or sip your tea. This was my first time ordering food here, I got the white chocolate raspberry scone. They heated it up for me and it was honestly one of the best scones I've ever had! The white chocolate chips melt in your mouth and the texture of the scone was perfection. I got the Thank You Very Matcha iced tea latte for my drink. The matcha latte was flavorful and well made. I took my drink and sipped it as I walked around the square for the farmer's market! Such a lovely Saturday morning. This will continue to be one of my favorite NWA businesses--if you have not been yet, add it to your list immediately! My sister and I grew up in the Fayetteville area and I went to school at the U of A. She and I have since lived in Boston, New York City, and DC for the last 5 years, and we've yet to find a place that can compare to Savoy in terms of its boutique menu options, presentation, deals on sample teas (buy 4, get one free) and the shopping experience/atmosphere. We come here every time we are home visiting in the summer or holidays to restock on loose leaf teas and go check out the latest seasonal coffee & tea menu. After living in Manhattan for 3 years, this place is so unique and different that i'm surprised it doesn't exist in NYC. So, its like having a little bit of NYC in the Fayetteville square, in my opinion, and that's the highest praise I can give it. And we've never had a bad experience here. I'd give more than 5 stars if I could. Among my favorite menu items over the years have been an iced Jack Frost latte (winter seasonal) and an iced bourbon mocha latte (spring seasonal) with a lavender white chocolate scone (spring seasonal). read more

I absolutely love Savoy! I come to Savoy at least a few times a week to do homework, read a book, or relax while I drink tea! It's the cutest oasis. It's very cosy and their Peach Honey Lemon Tea is one of my go-to's! The employees are very friendly & I am quickly accumulating points in their reward system! The only downside is parking can be a little bit difficult due to the location. That being said, I don't mind parking a little further away and taking a short walk! read more

Yesterday was one of those days of grand discoveries, the first being the best ever tea shoppe, in historic downtown Fayetteville! Not only was it cute, so was Savannah, the manager who guided us through all the unbelievable tea options...we sniffed (yep, they have an extensive sniffing station !), we shopped, we tasted, and we walked away not only satisfied, but laden with 'souvenirs' . I love a London Fog, especially the one made for me with Pink Peppercorn Chai tea!! Exciting to know they are looking at Tulsa, OK and possibly Little Rock, AR for new locations!!! A lovely little tea shop on the historic square in Fayetteville. I'm happy to say it is expanding and opening to shops in the Kansas City area soon one in the famous crossroads district and the other in Lenexa Kansas. The staff is very knowledgeable of the different tea blends. The selection is amazing! Many of their blends are on sample to taste and all others are to smell. The teas and treats are descent here, but what's heartbreaking is how dismissive and passive the girls are with me... I get it, I am brown but doesn't mean I don't enjoy the mediocre over priced tea... I aways have to prompt the reward conversation to get points and the response is always " oh yea, so what's your phone #?" Followed by a puzzled look at the stupid number points I've accrued. And my thought is, if you asked the Caucasian person before me, and/or my other than black friend that's with me, why not grant me the same courtesy? And then, leave my tea at the counter while the two girl gossip away... I mean you bring other people's tea at their table... what's wrong with extending the same customer service? Savoy has the best tea in NWA! All of the staff are extremely knowledgeable about all things tea, and they are always happy to share their knowledge and answer any questions you may have. I always enjoy looking at all the pretty tea pots and accessories available to purchase as well. The artwork and descriptions on their tea tins could not be any cuter! Not only are their teas delicious, but the tins look so sweet and decorative on my tea shelf at home. My husband and I love to share a pot of tea at Savoy, and it's affordable too (approximately $8, I think)! They also have a nice selection of bakery items and French toast. This is my favorite place to go for tea! I am not lying when I say I go every Saturday and I get the same thing so often, they know my order now (Iced Savoy Chai with extra chai syrup; I highly recommend it). They also have amazing baked goods! I live for their cookies, especially the ginger cookie and the lemon tea cookie. This is absolutely, positively, the most precious place in Northwest Arkansas. I am absolutely delighted every single time I visit, and I feel like a kid at a tea party when I walk in. Oh, and the teas are good, too! Savoy has a huuuuuge variety of teas organized by type - green, white, herbal, black, etc. Most of the teas are flavored with various flowers, fruits, and spices, though you can get just plain old tea. You can order loose leaf teas in a variety of sizes to take home, or you can order a beverage in shop. There is a small selection of sweets. They also have a variety of tea related items such as kettles and strainers for sale in the store. They also have fun events throughout the year. My absolute favorite said been magical unicorn month. They sold magical unicorn tea - a fruity, color changing tea - and magical unicorn lattes and you would get a free unicorn plushie with purchase of a tin of unicorn tea. At the end of the month, they held a magical unicorn party. I have not participated in one of these, but you schedule a private tea party. The one word of advice I give is that parking can be finicky by the square, so allow yourself some extra time to find a parking spot. read more

Definitely a hidden gem in Fayetteville. I live less than a 5 minute walk from this shop. I frequent the square and Dixon street at least once a day, yet it took me several weeks to discover it. But boy am I happy I did. This shop sells tea leaves and made to order drinks. The shop has iced, frozen, and hot options of both tea and coffee. Totally accommodating to any and all crazy requests I've had there. Once I tried the shop once, I've found myself there quite a few more times shortly after. My sister loves the frozen matcha drinks. I went to Savoy Tea today expecting to get a nice refreshing drink with my sister. Instead my drink was over sweetened. This wouldn't normally be a problem, but the service was very rude. When i asked the server, Helen, she said it was my fault and said ok. When I went and sit down and wait for my drink Helen talked behind my back, and told my sister she wasn't going to make it. Their tea (which is obviously the focus) is really good, but their food is also impressive, and the staff is both knowledgeable and kind. They have a great location and I feel like the prices are reasonable. I went on my lunch break and as always I was greeted and asked how my day was going. I said not so good and I was asked why. I explained that I received bad news from my vet about my dog. They were very compassionate and made me feel like everything was going to be ok. They truly seemed like they cared and that made it easier for me to talk about the situation. Very cute place! I'm currently going to college in another city, but I would always come here to catch up with friends when I come back home for breaks. The set up is perfect for afternoon teatime. You can choose from the menu or from a wide selection of teas that literally covers a wall. They offer both hot and iced teas. You can also get snacks like macaroons to go with your drink. Price range is around $2-5, very affordable. I've tried both the peach honey lemon and green apple peach iced teas. They're both really good.
