AUTOMATICALLY CHARGED 20% TIP on credit card. Used for trips from Anaheim to LAX. Cars are clean and drivers were on time. However, automatically charging an additional 20% to pricing on the credit card is not a tip - it's a mandatory surcharge and should be advised in the quote. I generally tip 15 to 18% for drivers, maybe 20% if they had luggage to carry or traffic was bad. Questioned the driver on this and he said Chris said it was 20%. The worst service ever in our lives. On the morning of our trip, my husband received a picture of a flat tire without any explanation. He had to ask himself what that meant. Nobody was going to pick us up because of the flat tire, and no backup driver was available because nobody was responding to his call. So we had to suffer his lack of maintenance, lack of backup tires, and lack of backup drivers. We had to drive ourselves to the airport. We will never use this service. So unprofessional. We wanted our vacation to be stress free, but this gave us a tremendous stress as we were having a breakfast before heading to the airport. We are in our 40's and 50's so we are not young, and we've experienced good and bad things. We know that sometimes a shit really happens. However, what happened here could have been avoidable with proper maintenance, preparation, or professional attitude. None existed. I used the service a few times and service was very good - clean and reliable. The last one however I contacted a few days prior via call + text for a July 3 pickup for an international flight from LAX and needed transport from Orange. I received a confirmation from Chris but then I had no details day before or day off and I tried to contact again via text as nobody showed up and I received no response. We had to scramble to find an alternate especially because the previous times were good and I would have recommended them. This not sure what happened but it was poor service especially with an international travel. So I would be cautious. read more

My cousin recommend this place. So when I needed a ride to the airport I called them. I booked my car ride with Chris (the owner). He was very helpful and was able to accommodate me even though I was calling last minute (2 days before my trip). He texted me confirming my ride and the driver's name for pick up. When the driver came, he arrived early before the pick up time. He played some good music and had a smooth ride to the airport. The only issue I had was he depended on his GPS, which was gonna take him further than our normal route. So we had to give him directions closer from my home to the airport. I called a lot of transportation services for a large van to take us from Orange County to LAX & Chris answered all my questions & his quoted rate was reasonable compared to some of the others. A week before our departure, Chris contacted me & we confirmed our reservation for mid-morning ride for 5 persons to LAX. Chris arrived on time & let me know he was outside. He loaded all our bags in quick time & his car is comfortable for 5 persons & is clean & neat. Since he takes this route many times, he knows the various routes around traffic & we were dropped off in one hour total time from home to the International terminal. Chris also picked us up at LAX on our return & was at the airport early & waited till we had all our bags ready at curbside; then I texted him & he arrived within 10-15 minutes (a very busy Friday at LAX!); he loaded all our bags & we were on our way. Wow, wow, WOW! After reading all the horror stories about rideshare shuttles (i.e. PrimeTime, "Shuttle2LAX" aka PrimeTime, SuperShuttle) being late or canceling last-minute, I figured I would splurge a little and go with a private driver from Irvine to LAX. Let me tell you - this was worth EVERY penny, from start to finish! First of all, I love that their prices are clearly listed on the website. Saved me the hassle of calling to get a quote, as I had to do with about 9 other companies. $95 from Irvine, one of the best prices I found - AND their fleet is top of the line! Other companies may be charging $95, but show up in a minivan. When I called to make my appt, Chris was extremely professional and easy to understand. He texted the day before to confirm my pick up, which I appreciated. The day of, he let me know that he was stuck in another area of town but had scheduled me with another driver - Ozzie. Judging by the other reviews I've read, many companies would have just said "You're SOL, get an Uber". Ozzie was, in a word - the *perfect* driver. He did hit bad traffic on his way to my place and alerted me to the fact. However, he still arrived right on time at 5pm - looking very professional in a suit and tie, I might add! He took my heavy luggage down 3 flights of stairs, and I was greeted to a gorgeous black Suburban (check out my pic), decked out and clean as a whistle. Already feeling like a celebrity, and I haven't even gotten in yet ;) The drive itself couldn't have been more comfortable. Ozzie was very pleasant to talk to, but there was no pressure to have a 2-hour convo all the way to the airport. He was attentive to our arrival time, yet I never felt like he was rushing. Very smooth driving the whole way - no hard brakes or crazy lane changing. Meanwhile I was in the backseat enjoying the water and mini-Snickers that were provided. AND there was a charger for my phone, so it didn't die by the time I got to the airport! I'm telling you - not one detail was spared. I arrived to LAX relaxed and ready for my 13-hour flight to New Zealand. So, in a nutshell - THIS IS A FANTASTIC COMPANY. This is my first Yelp review and though a long time coming, a review that I am glad to write. We have been working with Chris for about 2 years. I am a very busy CEO with a hectic travel schedule. I don't have a lot of time. I work quite a bit. Competence and discretion are important to me. My assistant found Chris on Yelp when I was in a bind to find a driver. I prefer personal recommendations but his reviews were good. Chris is amazingly professional. His suburban is always clean. He has nice music playing. He creates an atmosphere of luxury and comfort for his clients. He will send a text the evening before confirming the time. He arrives early. He meets me at the door and takes my luggage. He opens the car door for you. He is impeccably well dressed. He has already researched traffic patterns and delays. He gets you to your destination on time, if not early. When I'm returning from a trip, within a couple of minutes of the plane landing, I will receive a text from Chris that he is there and to let him know once I collect my luggage. I don't have to worry about whether he will be there or not. He takes all stress out the of the equation. After a 20 hour journey back from Tasmania the last thing I wanted to do is wait at the airport, shuttle to the car lot and fight traffic. Instead, I text Chris as I am walking out of the airport. It feels great in the middle of the airport crowds and traffic to have your own driver to whisk you out of the chaos. He pulls up quickly, AC is on, relaxing music playing and I'm home in 30 minutes. He is that rare professional that is a true chauffeur, not just some guy with a nice car who is making ends meet. He is not Uber. A whole different league better. He does this because he loves it and is a true professional. And his rates are realistic. In fact I'm spoiled by his service and when I do arrive at my locations in Rome, London, or Paris not one of the other drivers compares to Chris. If Chris has a rare scheduling conflict, he schedules another high quality driver for my transport. They are good. No complaints. But Chris is fantastic. When we have family come in to town and need transportation, we call Chris. When friends are visiting, we call Chris. If we want to arrange a driver as a gift for friends... we call Chris. My husband and I have always used super shuttle when travelling to LAX. Very basic. But we now have a little one and had to find a transpo service that is reliable, safe, and could provide car seats. I searched through yelp and contacted a few places. I liked Chris the most as his pricing is upfront and is very fair. I confirmed and sent him our info. We got a text the day before our pick up with confirmation and info of our driver. Our driver Ozzy was in time, dressed well, and was very helpful with the luggage. The carseat provided was clean and easy to use. He picked us up with a black Chevy Suburban that was very clean, equipped with water bottles and eclairs for me and my husband. He was very polite and drove well. When we came back from vacation, I received a text with confirmation and driver's info for our pick up from LAX. This time, it was a snazzy black Lincoln Navigator. I texted Mike, our Driver, and told him where we are located. He was there shortly after. Again, well dressed, and very helpful with luggages and even installed the car seat expertly. PERFECT is the only term to describe Savvy Transportation! As a woman traveling alone to California for the first time, I was a bit frightened at the prospect of arriving at night in an area I wasn't familiar with and having to rely on someone I didn't know to transport me to my hotel. Unfortunately, my limo never showed up. I waited outside both texting the owner, who never responded, and calling the phone number, only to learn I couldn't leave a message because the mailbox was full. While my husband drove us to LAX, I finally received a text from a different number stating the owner was out of town and that they were overbooked and used a third party limo service that apparently dropped the ball. They did offer to pick us up from the airport, but I stated that we were driving our own car and parking in one of the local garages so that wouldn't work. To make things right, they did Venmo me some money to help pay for the parking garage. I do appreciate the gesture, but when you are expecting someone to pick you up and they confirm the night before and no one show up, it is upsetting! read more

With all the stress I had planning prom, transportation to my destination was NO PROBLEM ! Prom was held in downtown Fullerton. I found out about Savvy Transportation on Yelp, and I can definitely say that the stellar reviews are completely accurate. I contacted Chris to schedule a pickup from LAX. I was feeling anxious about making the trip to begin with, so when my flight got cancelled, causing my arrival to be over an hour later, I panicked, thinking that I'd have trouble rescheduling transportation. I let Chris know about the change, and he graciously responded that he would pick me up at the new time. He was very understanding and said that it was not my fault since the situation was beyond my control. Chris goes above and beyond as a chauffeur. He showed genuine interest in having a conversation with me, despite my scattered state of extreme sleep deprivation!
