Whole vibe. Very vibrant and colorful set up! Food was really good and drinks as well. Friendly staff!

Good vibes and tasty food. Service and atmosphere: All staff members were friendly and professional. They didn't luck in attentiveness front either. The restaurant was clean, nicely decorated and offered many seating arrangements. Food and drinks: Genuine and authentic. Plenty to choose from. All dishes have good flavours and right amount of seasoning. Home made tortillas was a plus. You have to try their cafe de olla. Strong and sweet. Pricing: $$. We will definitely come back to try more.

We had the pozole rojo, sopecitos, and agua de pepino. It was delicious. The pozole with pork had bold flavor without being too spicy, and the portions were generous. Great ambiance and friendly service.

The food is delicious! Birria tacos in consommé, fresh guacamole, and the salsa at the table was amazing. Everything is fresh and flavorful! The service is friendly and helpful. The ambiance was festive and fun!

El Pueblito de Frida is a hidden gem, the atmosphere is so cute and the service was awesome, our server, Carla, was fantastic! This place was delicious! My family is vegetarian and we had some AMAZING vegetarian dishes. We tried the chilaquiles torta, veggie burrito, huitlacoche enchiladas and the flor de calabaza quesadilla. Every plate was super flavorful, well seasoned and unique sometimes vegetarian Mexican food can be underwhelming or lack flavor, not here! This is the best vegetarian Mexican food in Houston! 10/10 recommend to any vegetarians, you won't be be disappointed. Also LOVE that the restaurant is dog friendly, we sat in the beautiful patio and enjoyed a great meal with the whole family! Thanks Carla for the great service, we'll be back!

The place is pretty clean and the food was good. The service was good. They have a patio but it's probably better to go in the fall or spring. It was pretty hot but they did have fans going. They had a band come out and play music on Saturday evening. Inside was air conditioned and would probably would have been better. Beer was cold though. I would go back but probably in the fall or even in the beginning of winter.

Food definitely amazing but a little pricey! For 2 dressed up mineral waters and noodles w/ tacos, we spent $68 very overpriced!! Service was a little slow! The setting felt very authentic and nice! Would I recommend? Yes!

Howdy! Time for another exciting review from the land of Lorena! My girlfriend sent me a FB reel of this place, and she wanted to check it out, say less! We planned a girls brunch! Parking: We arrived, and were told parking was $5 for valet, or you can park in the adjacent lot for $5 as well. Parking on the street is also an option, so happy hunting for parking spot! Ambiance: At first glance the place was cute, but as we started to look around and truly soak it in, we noticed the decor really needed to be "vamped up ". For example, the gazebos sit up higher, and have severely rotting wood around the bottom of them as well as ripped cushions for seating. A lot of the hanging flowers and decor look sunburned, and old, etc... I'm sure it looked amazing when it all went up, but now it needs a "refresh". There was a mariachi band in the patio, and they were walking around and taking song request, we did not request a song, so I do not know if there is a fee request. The food : There are a variety of items on the menu, ranging from traditional Birria to tacos, tortas, mole etc. They also do have a large array of alcoholic beverages. We ordered a couple of Micheladas, Which were very good! I had the shrimp tacos. My girlfriend had the green Gorditas. Portion sizes on each dish we're good. However, the food was not very hot, it was warm to room temperature. I'm one of those weirdos so like my food scorching hot. Not a dealbreaker, though, as the food was still good and you could tell it was pretty fresh made. The complimentary chips and salsa were also very good. They come with a genuine mexican salsa. The service: The service was a bit slow, at the time of our visit if we're not very busy, but we still had to flag our server down a few times. The server was friendly, and was also familiar with the menu, which is a plus. Would I return? Meh, maybe, if one of my friends absolutely wanted to go there.

Service was really good. Only downfall would be paying to valet. We went to their other parking lot down the street and walked. Prices were higher but not too unreasonable. Food was good but I think you go here for the ambience.

This place is much more than just another content shoot, the food is DELICIOUS, the staff are very sweet and helpful, it's great for groups and the family and you'll feel like you've gone to another country once inside our out in their patio. Disclaimer: it's a little pricey. It was two of us and I'm not sure how we spent $98 lol but maybe that was with a 22% tip, can't remember but I do remember having a great time and that's priceless. We ordered: - Horchata Agua Fresca (huge pitcher size so definitely shareable) - Pepino Agua Fresca (these are $10+ fyi) - Chips and Guacamole. Very tasty but we didn't need more chips so I would opt out of it next time. - 6 Birria Tacos (half goat, half res). The consume and fixings were exactly what I needed. - Mocktail Don't remember the name of the Mocktail but they'll come around asking if you'd like this cocktail that they make in front of you which normally has tequila in it, fresh orange juice, Squirt and other things but we got it without alcohol and OMG IT WAS SO GOOD! I'm sure it would've been delicious with tequila in it as well but we weren't wanting it at that moment. Super refreshing and fun to watch them make it! Maybe this is what racked up that bill lol. Overall, it's so worth coming but definitely some things are shareable like them drinks so keeping that in mind for the next time!

Came here for a birthday dinner and had a great time! The staff was super friendly, they speak both English and Spanish and provided great recommendations. The tortillas are freshly made out on the patio and the patio has fun photo op walls and little flower decorated gazebos. All very cute and lots of fun. The food was just as good as the ambiance! I tried the quesadillas flor de calabaza. Their green masa has a great flavor and adds more savory flavor to their dishes. I also really enjoyed that you get a giant mug when you order their agua frescas. I had the lemon con pepino and you could tell it was freshly made with little pieces of cucumber. Highly recommend this place if you'd like some delicious food and a cute photo op!

This used to be my favorite place when the cabanas were nice . Now they let them looked bad. They did renovated the patio which looked better but the place has been run down compared to before. Food was good but service was too slow. Took 40min for the food to come when the restaurant wasn't busy at lunch. When order drinks the server just decided to upsale and didn't ask if we want small or larger size. Don't feel too comfortable with that. They now add Frida name on used to be el pueblito.

Chicken taco, cilantro tortilla, this one was called a machete and natural lemonade. Chips and salsa.

First, the vibe. It is warm, stylish, and very Montrose in the best way. It feels elevated but still relaxed enough to just sit, talk, and enjoy your time without feeling rushed. We came during happy hour and it was such a great deal. I ordered the Sweet Like Peach Tree, which was light, refreshing, and perfectly balanced with the peach and ginger. My husband got the Frozen Paloma and it was just as good, super smooth with the right citrus bite. We also shared the churros and they were honestly a must order. Warm, crispy, and paired with Nutella and caramel. What really made the experience stand out though was our bartender, Manny. He was incredibly welcoming from the moment we sat down, had such a great personality, and made the whole experience feel personal. You can tell he genuinely enjoys what he does, and that kind of service is hard to find. He also told us about their upcoming two year anniversary party on May 3rd with rotating live DJs, which sounds like it will be such a fun time. We will definitely be back. Between the drinks, the atmosphere, and the service, this place really gets it right.

They have bingo nights, dj nights, and other themed events that keep the place packed out. Maybe once I try the burgers, it'll be 5 stars, but the smallll parking lot and lack of safe street parking keep me at 4.

Considering the recent shutter of other places (#2) within the hospitality umbrella, it's not too big of a surprise that Wooster's would also be in the crosshairs. The space was always a nice mix of indoor and outdoor seating, which combined with its dedicated parking lot made this an easy drinking outlet for all kinds of occasions. The intimate indoor space was lovely and well ventilated, and it felt like there wasn't ever a moment where the bar wasn't slammed. The outdoor space was much of the same, with lots of tables and chairs, and even the trendy swing chairs facing the city. The only thing that was a little bit of a liability were those open flame heaters; it would only take on person to accidentally walk into one or trip onto it. For libations, the drinks were well priced, well made, and always potent. I appreciated the aesthetics, as well as the bartenders who made them. The only part that wasn't exciting was the limited food menu, which did its part as munchies for the drink heavy crowd, but was mediocre otherwise. The space is already undergoing the new facelift of a separate concept, one of which I hope will do the area justice, just as much as Wooster's did. ____________ (#1) The Kirby Group. (#2) R.I.P. I ate at Norigami Tuesday night and it was great as were the cocktails served up at the nextdoor bar called Hidden Bar. It looks like the drink that I ordered is also no longer on the menu. The bar prides itself on having a rotating meal changing menu so I think that's a lot of fun when it comes to trying new drinks and new combinations and it truly shows the artistry of the bartender. There was the option of both indoor and outdoor seating. The interior was more of a dimmer, elegant and darker tone. I can see it being pretty classic if you were to go at night time. The bar set up was really beautiful and they had different 2 to 4 seating wooden tables. Overall, the inside would probably only fit around 20 people. I was very sad because we couldn't sit outside. For a fancy hotel, you expect better. Maybe sitting at the bar is better than sitting at some seats as we did. Ambiance (4/5): The Colombe d'Or is a beautiful hotel and Bar No. 3 reflects that. It's an elegant spot to grab a drink, although small. Food (N/A): While there are expensive items on the menu, I had dinner earlier that night so I was on a liquid diet. Drinks (3/5): Bar No. 3 is known for its cocktails so I focused on the cocktail list. The list isn't large but it features a nice selection. Like the food, you're going to pay a premium. I enjoyed my adult beverage but felt like it was a bit overpriced. Hitting up hotel bars isn't a common occurrence in Houston unless you're a traveler. For Bar No. 3 to be the only hotel bar on Houstonia's top 50 is a feat in itself.
